Legend of Zelda will probably snag awards for no good reason as well, along with Diablo IV. Assassins Creed Mirage is also coming out. 2023 is not over, there are more highly anticipated games being released. FFXVI will get drowned out by Zelda ToTK.

I think BG3 should win too, they've gone above and beyond when it comes to the player having the most customizable experience, tons of options, and DARK URGE. Romance aside, the game being replayable in simply EA, will be 10x more replayable on full release. Plus you can play online with friends or anyone really which is a feature people like.

If they do that, I'll be amazed. The parts they showcased were actually compelling compared to their usual so-so writing, outside the romance which was cringe.
Though it did seem that final scene was one of the highlights judging by how much Swen wanted to show it off.
I think the initial reception on PC will make or break the game. PC reception will be the coin flip if normies with PS5s somehow get it and if they can get the PS5 audience to invest in the game. Then again, it's a shoe in for GOTY.
The highlight of the game is Baldur's Gate. It's even bigger than we imagined. There's hundreds of hours content. Part of me is getting anxious thinking about how much shit I'll have to do and how overwhelming it will feel. I like to do thorough first playthroughs but with BG3 I think I'll just roll with what the dice decides and won't savescum as much. I think it will be better to do multiple playthroughs throughout the years rather than try to do as much as possible at lnce and burn out.
