>Survived eight years of the game not being released >Couldn't survive two years of the game being released
Incredible. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Completely native, I have to disagree. I think the majority of Ganker has not played completely native Warband in a very long time. I'd like to remind everyone that almost every mod implements Diplomacy into it, and without Diplomacy, Kingdom Management, relationships and quests are nightmarish and nigh non-existant.
What exactly is wrong with this game? It feels weird that I've put so much time into Warband and I still can't understand the difference between the two
The social system in this game is the most moronic I have ever seen. >try to hire or wife someone >better not fail this diceroll or this character will never in this game be interested in joining your faction
What the hell where the devs smoking?
>i want warband, but with better graphics >game comes out and is exactly that >actually i just wanted more >bannerlord has more than warband >"no not like that"
Bannerlord has more features than warband. And I played like 40 hours recently, didn't encounter a single bug. It's fine, great even.
And "going back to warband" is like a bizarre, empty threat. You have no intention of doing that, and if even if you did, you'd play for 20 minutes before also turning it off.
me because you get 3 siblings in it and can ignore the story and play it like sandbox. In sandbox mode you don't get siblings so you won't have any family members for at least 18 years when your kids grow up
Nope, my bannerlord hours have surpassed my warband hours now. I see no reason I'd ever play warband again over bannerlord other than like 3 or 4 mods I might want to replay
>install Realm Of Thrones >make dothraki character >hire 300 dothraki horse archers >sack and pillage at turbo speed >travel west >settle with a cute virgin maiden in some castle her father gives me so I don't burn the countryside or join his enemies
The only things Bannerlord does better than Warband are graffix, performance and unit cohesion in battles and general battle "feel", and how it handles armies. All of these things are waaaay better than Warband, but literally every single other meaningful thing is infinitely better in Warband.
Bannerlord was a fricking disgrace and will never feel finished.
Nah, having gone back to warband I don't really miss anything from it. Bannerlord has way too many QoL things, bigger battles and actually enjoyable sieges.
I liked warband sieges more. In bannerlord the fancy new engine means on the walls the units seem to kind of mush together into one unrecognizable amorphous mesh and the AI is completely incapable of reasoning about the battle. Warband's wack-a-mole gameplay is basic but it at least works and seems to do a better job of capturing that shoulder to shoulder scrum feeling.
Rhodoks sieges are okay. Doing it with any other faction is just pure wiener and ball torture. I generally despise the city management aspects of these games and would prefer to be out on the field. Bannerlord is even worse in that regard since you have to contend with culture autism and time gates on improvements. If I could operate out of hideouts in the same manner as the randomly generated AI does I wouldn't go near the cities outside of supply running.
Outside of Battania I found the factions to be very forgettable compared to Warband. Three shades of Byzantines didn't help considering how the game is set 1000 years in the past. They could've added a bit more variety in that regard. The only part I really enjoyed was working as a lone mercenary. The general spectacle of seeing the battles themselves are rad if your rig can handle it. Two sides 500 v 500 doing their respective tasks rather than just clumping up in the centre for a glorified punchup. If Shokuho ends up being anything like the Warband version I reckon they will fix a lot of the issues from the base experience. If that mod could let you larp as a lone warrior who could do odd jobs at some bumfrick village for a bag of rice they might have something here to expand on.
Nothing Battania has matters but Fian Champions. I mean this in a literal way. Those things outclass every other troop in the entire game by a mile, in any situation, at any range.
Sturgians generally have better heavy infantry and cav while the only stand out units for the treeBlack folk are what

said. The good part about the ranged troops in Bannerlord now is that anytime you fight an army with equally matched units they will start firing back the arrows that didn't kneecap them or they will restock from their fallen allies. Compare that to their subpar light cav and generally pisspoor infantry the Fians just crap on everyone in all aspects of warfare. They can snipe targets at extreme ranges and might occasionally be armed with two handed weapons like a falx allowing them to carve through melee with ease. Like the Rhodoks if they were fast and had the ability to keep firing once their initial volleys were out.
Dell'Arte and Shokuho and Arda are the only sliver of hope left for this soulless piece of shit game. Turks deserve to get genocided and bombed into nonexistence their incompetency
Not me. >siege is not just ladder rush or archer camping outside the walls, starving the defenders is now a viable tactic for curbing deathstacks >no manual herding, lifestock now is just as viable for food sources as normal foods >autobattle is a viable option now if you don't want to suicide charge to fast forward battles, and is the best way to deal with horse spam since they're get buttfricked by forest terrain and wall.
The only thing I'll miss is persistent cimpanion and even that devolves to 'look at the chart and recruit everyone from group 1'. And I also miss feasting.
>be sieging a fief >high engineering + 400 vs 150 in our favour >easy win >another dude comes in with his big dick ~1k army, steals siege command from me and starts the fight right away >cataputs are still up on the walls and are going to waste our troops needlessly >instead of going for some other fief he had to butt in >this happens like 20 times in a row
HAHAHAHAHA I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Warband was actually pretty difficult and well done.
Bannerlord (I tried it a while ago when it first dropped) was still very much a work in progress and didn't have alot. Could be vastly better by now though.
NOOB!
Sturgia genocide will never be not funny.
I'm gonna break your legs.

every update bricks mods or bricks the game in some way.

No
>old good
>new bad
Not that simple anon, it's more
Gameplay: Bannerlord Good, Warband bad
Roleplay: Warband good, Bannerlord bad.

Most issues can be traced back to the game receiving updates sometimes, and the fact that every such update breaks mods.
That and the lack of memeable sounds and voicelines.
Nobody will drink from your skull.
I'm just waiting for Shokuho to release
>Soon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6PvuIr7GoA
>play 20 minutes of your mom
>wish I was playing your dad and get turned off
Is anyone else stuck in this loop?
No I actually played and enjoyed the game.
The social system in this game is the most moronic I have ever seen.
>try to hire or wife someone
>better not fail this diceroll or this character will never in this game be interested in joining your faction
What the hell where the devs smoking?
Yeah, the fact that you only get one chance is absolutely moronic. All it does is promote save scumming.
No. I'm rich. And I commit war crimes and my Vassal is held responsible. I build my city so it's fricking impenetrable.
Just let it click.

>still waiting for the alternative bandit route they promised half a decade ago
I don't remember a tutorial.
Didn't the game just drop you outside a town after character creation?
they have a tutorial in the "story" campaign which you can skip
i think sandbox just throws you in
Who plays Bannerlord for the story mode?
I wanna forge my own story.
me because you get 3 siblings in it and can ignore the story and play it like sandbox. In sandbox mode you don't get siblings so you won't have any family members for at least 18 years when your kids grow up
You can marry you waifu.
It's a free companion that doesn't take up slots.

Bannerlord is a terrible game, but a good mount and blade game
>install Realm Of Thrones
>make dothraki character
>hire 300 dothraki horse archers
>sack and pillage at turbo speed
>travel west
>settle with a cute virgin maiden in some castle her father gives me so I don't burn the countryside or join his enemies
>Install shitty cheat mods to trivialize the entire game.
fricking hell, kingdoms of arda when.
I want to haul ass as rohirrim because tossing javelins is just so damn fun on horseback.
Don't give me none of that 'you can do that now' bullshit - it's not the same.
Me
My wife. I love her.
The wife is only a tool for keeping your clan alife.
The horses are for love.

Nah, having gone back to warband I don't really miss anything from it. Bannerlord has way too many QoL things, bigger battles and actually enjoyable sieges.
Bannerlord has more amazing units, a proper horse archer AI, made bandit units actually useful and fixed prisoner recruitment.
Warband has cooler weapons. RIP mauls. RIP Quarterstaff.
When do I unlock plate armor?
Two to three hundred years in the future
There is no plate armor.
>go back to Warband
>tfw sieges

Rhodoks are all troonys who can't ride a horse.
y becomes ies
were you raised in a barn
Looks like I struck a nerve, Rhodok troony.
YWNRAH
You will never ride a horse.
Ywnbajf
I sieged with vlandian knights and had fun. Rhodoks can't resist the VLVNDIVN STVVL
Those picks were pretty brutal in a siege, though
Okay, but is it fun? I had fun with warband but didn't try bannerlord yet.
I had fun.
It's Bannerlord with "better" graphics, more units and some extra features.
Will I get my ass handed to me in melee if my reflexes aren't what they used to be?
Meh, I'll just make an archer.
I think that Bannerlord is a lot slower than Warband on default settings.
But I could be wrong because I never made a direct compairson.

How's their infantry in melee? I am torn between starting with them or the vikangz

Then play sandbox you dumb homosexual.
i havent played this game since it came out did they finally fix it or does it still get BTFO by mb warband dickplomacy mod?
If you played Warband then why in the frick are you wasting time playing the tutorial?
How is the Game of Thrones mod in each?
Warband was actually pretty difficult and well done.
