I found this mod which buffs the language skills, so if you use them on a monster, that monster becomes your allies. I currently have a pack of centaurs following me around and fighting my battles.
>play og daggerfall >accept a quest >enter dungeon >dungeon is fucking huge >get lost and can't find exit >wander around for several irl hours
that was intense
they made arena first and reused both graphical assets and code from it you cocksucking retard. also these were boomer programmers when nobody under 130IQ could even remotely understand how code worked
other methods would involve going into a temple and pay for the cure or if you are a dark brotherhood member potion brewer ( Ichor, Giant Scorpion Stinger, Small Tooth, Pearl ) if you want to make the potion yourself
This has always gotten my goat about status ailments in games
On one hand you have to make the debuff matter in gameplay and be felt otherwise why have it to start with
On the other hand, how do you account for players who just don't have a countermeasure for what is essentially a game over if left untreated.
I guess one way to do is to let the poison status on tick down to a certain amount of health, so its not just a timer until death, but even that feels like a copout.

Why do unprepared sloppy players need to be accounted for? That's literally the only sort of player that dies to this shit. Do videogames need to go out of their way to avoid killing shitters? Who should they kill then?
Daggerfall doesn't sic scorpions/spiders on the player before they've had a chance to hit up a town, there's none of them in Privateer's Hold. At worst you get diseased but you can survive easily if you beeline for the nearest temple (happened in my latest new game)
it's OVER for Unity
I don't want to make the developers literally pay for my curiosity.
and debt the devs
All bethesda games are goyslop. If you like these games you should just stop posting.

we've all been there. There are mods that makes the non-story related dungeons smaller and more compressed if thats your cup of tea
that sounds nice, will try it, thanks anon
Lol, many aaa devs used unity like a base for running their old codebase such as resent doom or katamari ports
idiots, Daggerfall Unity is offered for free, they dont make the 200k that would end up costing them money
How hard would it be to create a custom engine using DirectX/Vulkan/Metal to make a game like daggerfall?
No idea but Daggerfall was made by a tiny ass team a million years ago and they did everything from scratch
they made arena first and reused both graphical assets and code from it you cocksucking retard. also these were boomer programmers when nobody under 130IQ could even remotely understand how code worked
Are you okay?
i would be a lot more okay if you fucking killed yourself you worthless brainless hopeless piece of shit
Easier now than back in the day. Even if you program it in an inefficient way it will still run at thousands of FPS.
>Get poisoned
>Oh you don’t have a magic spell to cure yourself? I guess you’re fucked.
>get bitten by snake irl
>oh I wasnt expecting this and I'm too far from civilization guess I'll die
woooooooooowwwwww

I'll love it so much, I'll download, install, play, uninstall, download, and play it over and over and over and over again.
