For FOMO. Every ad they send out and every aspect of gameplay is to convince people they're missing out on something if they don't pay RIGHT NOW. The early access, level 100-rush, limited time worldboss event, and timers on shop skins are all designed to make you feel like you're gonna miss something. It's literally their entire model for the game.
