It's the only healer I play in EW. I only level SCH through SMN and have yet to pick up the job quest skills. WHM is boring and AST feels awful to play this expansion, but it used to be my go-to.
Former AST main here. I switched to SGE. My co-healer plays WHM so I can't really play AST with them any more, and I hate the way it plays atm anyway. SCH is okay but it has that patchwork feel to it while SGE feels cleaner to play. All healers are boring to play rn tho so who cares.

The non combat stuff is cute but done better in other games.
Housing is neat to decorate but completely useless functionally and the plots are dead.
Zones are too big and population too split up so its empty everywhere other than the trains of gathering bots.
Story doesnt have the balls to kill off characters and do a hard reset so it keeps trying to up the ante and fails.
Glams are getting more flashy and ridiculous.

It has been around the same DPS as SMN but with way better utility. It's just that no one wants to play it when SMN requires 0 braincells to play.

No, only Odin and Alexander require astral flow to summon and that's on a one hour timer now. You swap summons pretty often during combat because they all have wildly different uses and you want to get their buffs out but they also cost MP to maintain. So you like summon Garuda to cast Hastega, dismiss her, summon Shiva and Double Slap, dismiss, summon Titan and Stoneskin, and so on.

Change all jobs to be as unique as possible and remove the ability to filter by individual jobs in PF, only enforce role composition or 1 player per job.
As long as all standard comps are technically capable of clearing a fight at minimum item level, that's the only baseline they need to hit.

Yes. People were ALREADY doing 2 minute meta before Endwalker. You would just align buffs to the common multiple of the jobs you had in your party. The only real difference is that the multiple is the same every time and you don't need to try and get randos of different skill levels on the same page

PvP as mentioned was pretty much a home run. Easily the best addition to the game in EW hands down. It's unfortunately dragged down by cheaters and the game's dodgy netcode but that's not really something you can blame the mode itself for.
I also liked Sil'dih Subterrane a lot, it was fun even though it had some major flaws. Sadly, that's also the exact reason why I didn't enjoy Mount Rokkon and likely won't enjoy the next one either, because it completely failed to adress any of the faults that the first one had and was just Sil'dih Subterrane, again.

Savage is the roughly the same difficulty as before, but the difficulty moved from jobs to fights. Ultimates are harder but they're not trying to get casuals to do those, they're trying to get them into extreme and early floor savage.
They've removed a lot of the friction and teamwork from savage in order to appeal to casuals and solo-player autists.

Plus, dps checks are nonexistent this entire expansion with the two notable examples, P8S and TOP, clearly not being tested with multiple compositions in their relevance.

If someone doesn't have the friends and know-how to go beyond expectations, all these changes to accommodate for adapting newbies into the fold mean absolutely nothing overall. There's a very, very small percentage of people in the world that can clear an Ultimate of the entire playerbase, and most of them are still cheaters that made Yoshida question if it's even worth creating them still. Right now, I can buy all of the Diadochos and easily grind up a Manderville weapon, never go for a single augmented piece of gear, and do all non-hardcore content, and that's what more concentrated and intense casual players will peak at before fricking off; most won't even reach that point.

Tank is pretty much as casual as you get now. Better queue times, don't have to think about "complicated" rotations at all, and all you really have to do is sit there and mitigate while occasionally moving so that someone doesn't eat shit with you- and they're expected to move away more than you are. It's actually kind of hilarious how a melee DPS is in more danger most of the time than the main tank.
Their rotation might be not complicated but who the frick thought the DRK burst phase was good only to then do LESS DAMAGE than any other tank.
That's only in the last 2 patches, in the majority of EW they were the tanks that shit out the most damage.

I wish yoshit-piss puts NPCs in alliance raids or more NPC-themed dungeons so I can always be with her.
