Why’re there so many games from Japan that boil down to “GOD BAD SATAN GOOD”?

        Very rare.
Even in, Satan was depicted as a neutral lawful entity that simply did what he was designed to do originally, and in later ones he was often just a very strong demon or a tool being used by others.
Lucifer on the other hand did have a more humanized character than the israeli Yahweh portrayals, but was not always good.
Moreover, it's still pretty rare in the huge genre that games actually do this or anything like this. There are plenty where the church is simply where you saved and healed, and the final boss is a devil or evil spirit being.
This is a weird cliche that was never actually that dominant in the JRPG sphere.

Most FF games have some kind of "false-pseudo-god" representation of a villain as their final fight.

There's only fifteen of those you know not a million. Even then they aren't religious gods at all like OP is trying to be upset about.

          >Satan’s side: “yeah, almost everyone dies, but whomever survives and doesn’t get killed by the demons (aka our plucky cast of highschoolers) gets the heckin’ freedomerino to do what they want in this literal hellscape they created!”

            neutral chads stay winning.
            >c-centrist! fencesitter!
nope. imagine not being a nondualist in 2023 lmao. I can't be in the center if the polarity itself is an illusion.

            Isn't it more like:
            >Law: remove all freedom of human choice and individuality but get a grantee of life
            >Chaos: survival of the fittest where only the strongest survive and govern
And while I don't remember every facet of every SMT game I've played I'm pretty sure some of the main cast do die down certain routes.

Yes, which is why it's a shame that the neutral route exists since it automatically becomes the best choice just by virtue of existing.

DQ9 did this well. Corvus became Lucifer because Zenus didn't answer his prayers to save him from big bad king who kept him prisoner forever.
Also Zenus was a bastard too so it's fine.

That's because Christ is a cuck and a bigot. The people on the right side of history know who's truly accepting and benevolent to all, not an evil bigot.

Why do christcucks get so upset about jrpgs? Western culture has been getting on its knees to suck off your israelited israelite on a stick forever but because one genre of one medium of entertainment from ONE COUNTRY does the opposite, you lose your fricking minds. You're like mudslimes throwing temper tantrums at muhammad being depicted.

Your magic sky daddy fairy tale was created by the romans to pacify the israelites. Religions in general are created over time by people as a coping mechanism because life is brutal, scary, and unforgiving and people need things to comfort them, especially when thinking about dying or their family dying.

Is Japan’s cultural and religious background demon apologia? Do they worship the oni and yokai?

I'm referring to the fact that the vast majority of japanese know jackshit about Christianity and the "god is evil" trope stems from their experiences with violent sectarian conflicts through Buddhism for centuries, which had a big impact on their culture and perception of religious authority figures.
