Played alot of war 3 dota, dota 2 hon and hots along with league. More than any other, leagues has tried to monetize by doing three things that i have come to dislike.
First, they casualized most aspects to make the game as easy to pick up as possible - map awareness is simple, wards are (practically) free, symmetrical map, items are more about overall advancement rather than broken combos or power stacking for broken effects. Annoying or micro intesive game aspects that are difficult for new players, like denials, were removed.
Second, they have removed any "alternate" ways to play a champ, literally designing them to play a "roll" instead of giving them a kit for fun or interesting effects and letting players work out where they go. If your playing quarterback, theres no switching to a kicker or playing wide. Like an actual sport.
Third is the woke garbage replacing actual content - clearly being done to attract esg bucks and get official endorsements, as well as appealing to the blue haired trash that are basically enforcers for this shit.
Every once in a while I get the urge to play. There were a lot of characters I enjoyed playing like Heimer and Udyr. Some of the recent champs seem pretty neat too, like the wolf pack thing
But then I remember that moba players are the lowest dregs of society that go out of their way to make the game worse for themselves and for everyone around them, and I know I'll just start seething as everyone acts like an ignorant c**t

every match against a raka past diamond is a cake walk. 1 item cripples her and she has no mobility and escape. As soon as you pick her someones going noc and you are dead all game. When i play her i go mobi and just run around healing and hiding in the back. otherwise everyone just dog piles her.

I don't really like the direction the game went. I was playing Akali/Morde/Vlad back in the day and nowadays all of them are unrecognizable, maybe besides Vlad. They cut some fun mechanics and items which I enjoyed, like spell vamp and gun blade. Too much focus on zoom-zoom, quick-dash, go-through-wall mechanics. Last time I played game was too jungle heavy and having guy who is behind most of the time means you lost the match as dragon snowball was moronicly strong. Late game felt obnoxious as everything kills you under 2 seconds and vice versa. CC feels too long despite extremely low TTK. Too many meta homosexuals, not allowing to expand and experiment even if you just playing blind normal, reporting, flaming, trolling for slight deviations from the "norm" and the latest build one of numerous sites that track info of every player. Too much meta data, you can profile anyone by just entering their nickname to leagueofgraphs or any similar site. Macro users / cheaters are annoying.

I didn't like what the game was slowly turning into after Season 4. Six months of censer meta was the final nail in the coffin, that's when I effectively quit.
I still have the game installed, I still play ARAMs with friends once in a while. But that's about it.
I left when they introduced Ranked and turned all the people I played with into obsessive tryhard frickers that refused to play normal to just chill and the ranked didn't even had rewards at the time.
Plus some choices and changes that made the game really unfun for me so I just left. The only thing that would pull me back in is for them to ditch Flash but that would mean rework the entire game half roster to be actually playable.

Tank Renekton is fine, it depends on the rest of the comp and how the other lanes are doing. If your bot lane is turbostomping, you have a higher chance of winning the game if you go full tank and frontline for your 8/0 Jinx.

I don't really like the direction the game went. I was playing Akali/Morde/Vlad back in the day and nowadays all of them are unrecognizable, maybe besides Vlad. They cut some fun mechanics and items which I enjoyed, like spell vamp and gun blade. Too much focus on zoom-zoom, quick-dash, go-through-wall mechanics. Last time I played game was too jungle heavy and having guy who is behind most of the time means you lost the match as dragon snowball was moronicly strong. Late game felt obnoxious as everything kills you under 2 seconds and vice versa. CC feels too long despite extremely low TTK. Too many meta homosexuals, not allowing to expand and experiment even if you just playing blind normal, reporting, flaming, trolling for slight deviations from the "norm" and the latest build one of numerous sites that track info of every player. Too much meta data, you can profile anyone by just entering their nickname to leagueofgraphs or any similar site. Macro users / cheaters are annoying.
Game simply is not fun enough to play solo and all my friends moved on ages ago.
there's a few reworks I didn't like like Volibear and especially Morde he came from a unique champ to one full of copypasted abilities.

I didn't like what the game was slowly turning into after Season 4. Six months of censer meta was the final nail in the coffin, that's when I effectively quit.
I still have the game installed, I still play ARAMs with friends once in a while. But that's about it.
I left when they introduced Ranked and turned all the people I played with into obsessive tryhard frickers that refused to play normal to just chill and the ranked didn't even had rewards at the time.
Plus some choices and changes that made the game really unfun for me so I just left. The only thing that would pull me back in is for them to ditch Flash but that would mean rework the entire game half roster to be actually playable.

Never got into league. I grinded hard in dota, hit a barely respectable mmr rating for the time and realised that I had effectively gained nothing after investing so much time, didn't even remember 90% of games, hated losing, felt nothing in wins, hated every other player and suddenly felt an immense burnout never to touch the genre again. I'd probably play again if I could get 9 friends into one lobby just to play for shits and giggles but never again with strangers.

They reworked all of my favorite characters except for Karthus and Zilean (for now.) When i saw Ornn could buy items from other than the spawn for me that was the sign that riot was going to change the game to something even more unrecognisable. Simply was not the same game i played anymore.

Tank Renekton is fine, it depends on the rest of the comp and how the other lanes are doing. If your bot lane is turbostomping, you have a higher chance of winning the game if you go full tank and frontline for your 8/0 Jinx.
Renekton is very versatile, that's why he's almost always meta one way or the other.
