>play MMORPG
>play as tank
>party is only me and two healers
>Nobody ever dies and we harvest XP faster than anyone else
>We allow one or two outsiders to perform as support from time to time, but they never stay for long
Why didn't anyone think of this strategy before? It's literally perfect!

moron
MMOs truly are the slop
Shit gameplay, shit stories, shit graphics
ONLY exist to take advantage of that dopamine hit and give you a fake sense of progress and accomplishment.
Nah, they are there for light social interactions with a large community of like minded individuals.
The games should never get too hard. anything harder than original wow then the game gets too bogged down with sweaties ruining everything with minmax flowcharts and excel sheets.
fpbp
MMOs are one step above the kind of games you find on the Google Play Store.
>moron
boomer slop
He’s right. MMORPGs are slop.
We don’t sign our posts here
dead genre
Have you perhaps considered that the entire genre is absolute trash and you're better off playing just about anything else if you actually want to enjoy video games?
He has point I quit playing MMO's all they do is cuck at very move sadly.
World of Warcraft turned into troony and Black person fest
FF14 shit game filled with groomers and trannies.
All new MMO's are p2w
>thing bad because /misc/ buzzwords
everything you do is trannies
everything you like is israelites
your favorite thing is Black folk
>getting mad about /misc/ buzzwords
KEKAROO
you know who you are
>getting mad over being called out
LMAO JOGGER
>getting mad over being called out
yup thats basically you bud lol
zoomers hate MMORPGS lol. Do you really think they have the patience for some boring grindfest?
>zoomers hate a literal IQ-regressing activity
not the own you wish it was
>1 tank 2 healers
>xp faster than anyone else
is this mmorpg real or you just wanted to shitpost?
i could see a handful of niche maps in certain oldgay games being that way
shit like grinding undead in ffxi with a paladin tank, three white mages, a red mage, and a bard or summoner.
or certain maps in ragnarok online, but that game had entire metas that depended on the map or class or server even.
Considering the image and the euphemism of having "outsiders to perform as support," it should be obvious.
But at the same time, why don't more games function like this? So many of them focus purely on damage output and relegate defense and healing to side roles no one wants to play. Why not have those things be the main focus? Everyone can do damage, but what can you do to actually support your party in a multiplayer setting?
>Everyone can do damage
homogenization of roles is a good chunk of why people hate games like xiv
>people hate games like xiv
And that's why it's one of most popular MMOs? Interesting.
and it has the most pathetic playerbase out of all mmos, your point?
most people only play xiv for the story and for the "community", you didn't really refute anon's point.
its one of the most accessible MMOs making it most popular by default. It used to be WoW but WoW isn't on Playstation or Xbox with controller support and a 2.5s GCD.
This guy doesn't understand that the end game bosses most people don't even touch until the next expansion hits so that they can do the fights casually with their buddies. I only enjoy 3 manning old raid content with my friends in FFXIV. You need to know too many mechanics for each and every boss. It is just too frustrating having the 8th person on your team always dying because they forgot step 50 of step 145 of the latest boss.
no
Strategies like this are precisely why modern games include DPS checks. Being unstoppable by normal means does nothing for you if you can't defeat the nuke before it explodes.
>playing as healer after really bad day
>party tank is female character, bigger than my healer
>plays incredibly well, I barely have to resort to faster/instant healing and sometimes even switch to damage dealing for a while
>tank frequently compliment me
>"great job!", "you are doing well, keep it up!", "look what great healer we have!"
It was both pleasant and weird experience, I must admit.
Any MMO that isn't for braindead morons has DPS checks in every boss fight so you can't do a composition like that.
Aren't the DPS checks there specifically for braindead morons (e.g. DPS mains) so they feel like they're actually contributing something?
>boss fight
they're talking about grinding you fricktard. bosses haven't been an xp farming method in games since fricking 2010
>grinding
>in modern MMOs
???
everything relevant reward wise is a instance queue. what exactly are you grinding outside of that.
and? you're not doing meaningful boss content with dps checks in any modern game unless you're done grinding and have entered gear progression
I play After Burner II because it is fun!
>MMORPG
Literally what's the point? It's just an endless loop of grinding that never really ends.
