What I did was stack eater of world quant altars with harvest and sold my seeds, also ran expedition and legion (switch to something else if you cant speed clear)
Granted I played a shitload I got two builds mainly geared outside of insane 3 mod watcher eyes or 6x t1 rare items

Everything is overpriced, I'm not paying 5 divs for some 100c worth of upgrade, I don't care that Vladimir or Xu spent 3 days without sleep for it, I'm not gonna do that and I'm not alone that's why most of these items are sitting at +6 days, they aren't even bothering refreshing their product to give a sense of "new shiny item buy it now" because they probably quit the game too.
You're left with being a trade slave, refreshing your tab or waiting in live search for someone to either underprice it by mistake or for one of these dumbfricks to realize that it's overpriced and that it won't sell for that much, you miss that 1 minute window of opportunity? Your loss and nobody will tell you about it, so you stare at the screen for +10 secs in hopes of that group invite.
You can always craft/farm it by yourself, but it defeats the fun of finding items of other builds to sell them and then improve your own build with that currency.
The reason these items sit there for +6 days is because people dump them in their stash and forget about it I have several items listed like that and I don't give a frick if they sell or not.
I already have my mageblood so I couldn't give any less of a frick about currency at this point in the league.
BFR ruined the game. I had 4k hours in PoE since beta, but I have not played a league longer than 12 hours in two years.
I enjoyed the beta for D4 so I bought it. At least that will be fun a week a season unlike PoE which is current zero fun zero leagues a season.

You have to run 1 map per hour not to make 80c in the same timeframe it'd take even speedrunners to reach a10 kitava+3/4 labs.
I have only once respec'ed a high level character to something completely different. Though my total hours is probably under 500; I don't know, I don't poopsock and the standalone client doesn't keep track of hours.
Anyway, even if you want to build with the same class, oftentimes it is better to keep your finished character around anyway than it is to completely respec it (because what do you do if your build turned out to be garbage after the respec).
i never played an aRPG but i want to play diablo 2 resurrected because it has by far the best art style and graphics of any aRPG ive ever seen so far... pure fricking soul

It brought in a ton of people due to the D4 beta and those people aren't going to be as interested and are likely to be more casual than people who were interested in the game organically. It has a higher base foundation number to keep up to in order to retain as high of a percentage so it's going to be more difficult to do so. This isn't some epic gotcha you think it is. The large amount of flat players contribute to the shop to keep the game going at the start of the league. This league was a huge success by more of the important metrics. I'm not even a huge fanboy or anything, I'm just trying to look at things objectively. Why are you so hopeful it fails.

There's a few good builds here and there but the major problem is maxing your resistances and building spell suppress or spell dodge (lol) on top of actually getting high rolls for the stats that are actually relevant to your build. Having to spend 80% of your skill points on borderline filler passives with keystones being your ACTUAL build homogenizes a lot of builds into doing the same shit with [6-link skill goes here] being your main focus. It's no surprise items like mageblood are heavily sought after and command extreme prices, that shit basically turns the fun from OFF to ON. And there's no guarantee your favorite build will even be usable next league with how haphazard balance changes are, not to mention the bugs and random bullshit that get re-introduced because they can't handle the spaghetti code. >"skill issue" strawman aimed at no one

As for your defenses complaints, I don't see the issue.
I was running a Flicker Slayer this league after my shitty STR Stack Storm Rain and I ended up running uniques in all but my rings and gloves and I still managed to max out my resistances.
On an okay ring you can easily get atleast 120 total ele resists. Overcapping one? Reroll it with harvest.
It's really not that hard. The only thing that's hard to get (for left side builds) is spell suppression if you're using lots of uniques.
They should look into a timeless israeliteel that can give spell suppress similar to how you can pick up armour with lethal pride
You still can get 2-3 shot from spell-heavy bosses even with capped resistances and capping chaos res isn't exactly easy to do sometimes. Needing to smash your monkey fist on all the flask buttons every time a group of enemies is on screen can get tiresome

How do you even get that many divines? I've completed my atlas except for 6 unique maps, got 2 voidstones and all I got is 2 divines so far.

Crucible is dogshit, no one wants to wait 10 secs for a bar to fill up for mobs that don't drop loot, another RMT pro mechanic for chinks to do it for you so you just buy the final crucible tree from them.
I think I'm done with PoE forever, had all the fun I could but these days it just ain't the same, I will wait for PoE 2 see how it goes.

What we need is semi-auto trading. One such example would be:

Everything is overpriced, I'm not paying 5 divs for some 100c worth of upgrade, I don't care that Vladimir or Xu spent 3 days without sleep for it, I'm not gonna do that and I'm not alone that's why most of these items are sitting at +6 days, they aren't even bothering refreshing their product to give a sense of "new shiny item buy it now" because they probably quit the game too.
You're left with being a trade slave, refreshing your tab or waiting in live search for someone to either underprice it by mistake or for one of these dumbfricks to realize that it's overpriced and that it won't sell for that much, you miss that 1 minute window of opportunity? Your loss and nobody will tell you about it, so you stare at the screen for +10 secs in hopes of that group invite.
You can always craft/farm it by yourself, but it defeats the fun of finding items of other builds to sell them and then improve your own build with that currency.
The reason these items sit there for +6 days is because people dump them in their stash and forget about it I have several items listed like that and I don't give a frick if they sell or not.
I already have my mageblood so I couldn't give any less of a frick about currency at this point in the league.
BFR ruined the game. I had 4k hours in PoE since beta, but I have not played a league longer than 12 hours in two years.
I enjoyed the beta for D4 so I bought it. At least that will be fun a week a season unlike PoE which is current zero fun zero leagues a season.

I did invest into a big respec this League, Jesus Christ what an awful system.
It cost me something around 80 Regret orbs. Thankfully, between my Regrets and Scours, I had enough to not need to trade, but it was still demoralizing.
Respect are fairly cheap though.

I have only once respec'ed a high level character to something completely different. Though my total hours is probably under 500; I don't know, I don't poopsock and the standalone client doesn't keep track of hours.
Anyway, even if you want to build with the same class, oftentimes it is better to keep your finished character around anyway than it is to completely respec it (because what do you do if your build turned out to be garbage after the respec).
play a game that lets you respec freely so you can experiment and if it's bad you can try something else or go back to your previous build.

Absolutely. I might be wrong, but completing 40/40 got overall worse in terms of time required as well. The grind only increases on all fronts. People are just too hooked up on the game to see or question it.

Solo Self Found experience is shit because these droprates are downright abysmal, so the game pushes you in this corner where the game pretty much forces you to trade, which sort of defeats the purpose of playing this type of game in the first place, at least for me - I want to kill shit, find loot, and have my character get stronger by doing just that. I don't want to be forced to trade for the exact gear I need, it's literally just cheating with extra steps involved.

Why does percentage of peak matter that much? It brought in a ton of people due to the D4 beta and those people aren't going to be as interested and are likely to be more casual than people who were interested in the game organically. It has a higher base foundation number to keep up to in order to retain as high of a percentage so it's going to be more difficult to do so. This isn't some epic gotcha you think it is. The large amount of flat players contribute to the shop to keep the game going at the start of the league. This league was a huge success by more of the important metrics. I'm not even a huge fanboy or anything, I'm just trying to look at things objectively. Why are you so hopeful it fails.

Skill issue. I don't think I've ever made a build that can't clear all the content, and I've made some fricked up builds. If I can league start Strength Stacking Storm Rain Ascendant and clear the entire game, you can too.

There's a few good builds here and there but the major problem is maxing your resistances and building spell suppress or spell dodge (lol) on top of actually getting high rolls for the stats that are actually relevant to your build. Having to spend 80% of your skill points on borderline filler passives with keystones being your ACTUAL build homogenizes a lot of builds into doing the same shit with [6-link skill goes here] being your main focus. It's no surprise items like mageblood are heavily sought after and command extreme prices, that shit basically turns the fun from OFF to ON. And there's no guarantee your favorite build will even be usable next league with how haphazard balance changes are, not to mention the bugs and random bullshit that get re-introduced because they can't handle the spaghetti code.

Mageblood is such an OP item that it enables you to go literally anything and it can be good.
As for your defenses complaints, I don't see the issue.
I was running a Flicker Slayer this league after my shitty STR Stack Storm Rain and I ended up running uniques in all but my rings and gloves and I still managed to max out my resistances.
On an okay ring you can easily get atleast 120 total ele resists. Overcapping one? Reroll it with harvest.
It's really not that hard. The only thing that's hard to get (for left side builds) is spell suppression if you're using lots of uniques.
They should look into a timeless israeliteel that can give spell suppress similar to how you can pick up armour with lethal pride
you dont need to cap spell suppression.... capping res's and getting some chaos resist is far more important.
You still can get 2-3 shot from spell-heavy bosses even with capped resistances and capping chaos res isn't exactly easy to do sometimes. Needing to smash your monkey fist on all the flask buttons every time a group of enemies is on screen can get tiresome
