I am talking about more factions that aren't literally "generic tribe, generic modern, generic modern (hostile)" and interactions with those factions and inbetween those factions.
I can't. I played vanilla until tired of it and even wrote stories and stuff based on events, I modded it until I got it how I liked it, and then it updated and broke everything, I went back a few years later and updated/replaced/added mods and then it updated a day before I was finished again, now I can't summon the desire to play vanilla or the will to mod it all again, and I got the DLCs but they suck and frick up the gameplay so I never play with them on

I tried but my game shits itself by year 7 and i tried disabling every mod to try and find out why but the TPS is still shit on that save even when testing with zero mods enabled so I deemed it impossible to debug.
My GF used to play Sims alot and one day she saw me play Rimworld and asked what it was. I had to think how to explain for a while and told her it's "Like Sims, but more in-depth and morbid". She has over 2000 hours now and I still have barely over 200 like what the frick.
Eveey single playthrough I make the same base, train the same pawns in same skills, make same defences, fight the same enemies, recover the same relics, and give up once there's no more steel on the map.

I have. It's badly designed, badly programmed and eventually starts to run like an assfricked cat even on good hardware due to lack of optimization.
The modding scene is getting monopolized by a patreon frickwit whose framework for mods is a bloated, unoptimized mess (just like his other 100+ mods that depend on it).
Additionally, the developer is a hack, liar and a metaphorical israelite, stay away from that mess.
i have, over 500 hours i did vanilla and small to stupid large modpacks. the game gets very repetitive once you know the meta and micro everything. just 3x the time and wait for next raid lmao.
mod scene is being israeliteed by vanilla expanded bloat (the creator is also bloated) that doesn't keep any consistency between its mods and has random assets scattered everywhere, game ends up running like shit
