It's amazing how you saw the OP and instantly became terrified that maybe your 15 year old brain wasn't ad developed as you thought it was an instantly went to "I-it's still bad it's just everything else is worse"
Give the game another shot pal, maybe you'll end up like OP.
i played until skellige and then just lost interest
i've gotten much further than i did last time and i'm looking foward to the expansions when i get to them
90% of the time whether a game will stick is a matter of how Im feeling when I start playing it. This can vary from day to day and season to season. Ive figured this out and already start games multiple times at various points throughout the year if I think they'll click.
I fricking refunded witcher 3 when I first got it because the combat tutorial made combat feel like ass. And wandering around finding level 100 enemies as a level 30 or whatever was stupid as shit. Played it again with a lot of time to kill and thought it was amazing.
Are you me? I'm replaying this game, played it on 2018 and got bored. Now I'm replaying it again and frick I love it. The atmosphere and overall ambient it's just gens ahead of other games.
I had this with Fallout 4. I was hyped to play it but when I realized it wasn't really an RPG I hated it. Tried to play through like 3 times or more and could get passed 5 hours of gameplay. Two years ago I tried it again and really liked it for what it was. Not that it's amazing but I'd say it's an above average game if you look passed the fact that it's supposed to be a Fallout RPG/
Games have become so shit nowadays, your standards automatically got significantly lower.
Tastes change. One moment you think the stalker games are ugly garbage and the next you think they are the among the best shooters ever made.
Typically your taste gets better with age, not worse.
Single FPS are pretty dead right now, but liking gunplay in stalker is a new low.

Did you play it past a specific point? You might just have diminishing standards.

It took me 3 tries before the game clicked for me.
Tried it three times. Hated all of them.
