They barely interact at all in Hajimari, and she gets shoved off to be with Lloyd for the entire game. To make it even funnier, in the last chapter Rean calls Lloyd to make sure he's ok and doesn't give a single frick about Alisa.
In CS1 and 2 sure, she lost her main/canon heroine role to Altina after that. I could give you countless examples of them glued together in official art like

I'm sure they do. Having a section of the game where Lloyd is MC but Tio, Rixia, Noel, etc pickers don't get any options after Azure baited them would've been cruel. But if Lloyd who's definitely with Ellie needs options to keep the fans civil then Rean who's most likely with Alisa will never get anywhere.
The fact that Rean and Altina's relationship is being taken slowly is actually the biggest evidence for it being the canon one. He moves too fast with other girls and it wouldn't make sense for the timeline, they should be fricking already. With Altina it's different because she means the world to Rean and he doesn't want to mess things up while they're still teacher and student, he straight up says so in CS4. All bets are off after Hajimari is over though, the next time we see them Altina could be pregnant.

Trails has shit gameplay. It is the only RPG in my life that I have decided to play on easy and use cheats, because I have no interest in playing it.
It has one of the best videogame stories ever, and that's why I love the series, but the combat just gets in the way of that so I'd rather skip it.
Not just the most popular girl but there are no tit monsters anywhere high in polls. If you're just looking at modern Trails then you have the 3 flattest girls in Altina, Tio and Fie the top 3 spots. Then from outside that you have Estelle and Dana who are B cups on a good day.
Note that this isn't the only poll but Altina always places high and Tio usually does too when she's applicable.
She's the first one and not in the top 10. Also that result was the most surprising in the whole poll, Emma fans really turned out, she almost never places that high, I'd have expected Rixia there at least.

I need some serious advice. I'm really enjoying trails in the sky, phenomenal story with great characters, absolutely love it actually... but god do I hate jrpg gameplay. Can anyone share their mindset so I can condition myself/view from a different perspective to try to appreciate jrpgs. Sky combat is frankly bad. It's neither interesting to develop your characters, nor fun to engage in battles themselves. Later installments progressively make it better. So maybe just reduce difficulty and enjoy the story?
As for how to get into jrpg gameplay, play a jrpg with good gameplay to ease you into it. I remember hating turn based games in general, but then D:OS2 eased me into it and Persona 5 converted me into a fricking jrpg fan.
Lots of time and effort put into it. XSeed treated the series like a passion project, unlike NISA, who basically just see it as a semi-lucrative cash cow.

I love Trails. No memes or hivemind shitposting can make me not love it. That includes Sky, Crosbell, and yes, even Cold Steel. One of my favorite video game series even though yes I admit it is like a big convoluted shounen anime.

There's nothing complicated about the order in this series. Trails in the Sky 1, 2, 3, Zero, Ao, CS 1, 2, 3, 4, and then Reverie, Kuro 1 and 2 when they're out, unless you can read moonrunes.

This series is kind of the epitome of trend-chasing shareholders and other dumbass business people convincing a company to sell out and then facing the consequences of having the trends they chased blow over and wreak havoc on their sales. Falcom is almost entirely propped up by licensing income these days.
The series' Japanese sales have been dropping like a rock since CS2, so now the only things making Falcom money are merchandising deals. Other than that, they gotta suck a bunch of Korean and Taiwanese investor dick just to get by. That's why CLE gets so much special treatment when it comes to localization timing and release schedules.

Falcom themselves only self-publish in Japan, and the profits from domestic game sales fall under their "product development" division of their business (left column in the pic). Hajimari is basically Cold Steel 5 and is just as moronic as the other CS games, but in different ways. It's basically like Sky 3rd if Sky 3rd had three messy campaigns cobbled together into one, cranked the fan service up to 12, and had a shitty randomly generated gauntlet with gacha mechanics tacked onto it. Some people give it a pass because of C's route, but I still think it sucks.
Kuro is definitely a step in the right direction. It's still got the stench of CS in certain parts, but it's definitely trying to set itself apart in ways that make it better.

I don't hate Cold Steel. It doesn't take a genius to see it's the worst of the bunch but it didn't insult me the way some people seem to act like it does. Also I have to ask what people excepted. If you agree that CS is shit then why bother complaining about people calling it what it is? It doesn't retcon anything, it just resolves the major arc that's been building since SC with a wet fart and ruins the main villain and Erebonia in general in a failed attempt to make them into a dindu so they don't reflect poorly on Rean. Some people might be mad about perceived retcons, others are just mad because CS fumbled a perfect pass in the most spectacularly moronic manner possible. The Rufus route of Hajimari is pure kino and were the other two routes on par with it, it would easily be the best game in the series. The other two routes are CS quality, though the Lloyd and Rean routes do have some good character moments. The memory doors are a mixed bag - some are a slog, and some are pure kino.
Kuro 1 actually has a complete self contained plot unto itself, making it instantly better than the CS games in that department.

Yeah, exactly. In some games where the buffer is really lenient you can get away with some shortcuts like hold DS, release D, tap D, P and then it'll come out no problem.

Trails has shit gameplay. It is the only RPG in my life that I have decided to play on easy and use cheats, because I have no interest in playing it.

As for how to get into jrpg gameplay, play a jrpg with good gameplay to ease you into it. I remember hating turn based games in general, but then D:OS2 eased me into it and Persona 5 converted me into a fricking jrpg fan.

This series is kind of the epitome of trend-chasing shareholders and other dumbass business people convincing a company to sell out and then facing the consequences of having the trends they chased blow over and wreak havoc on their sales. Falcom is almost entirely propped up by licensing income these days.
The series' Japanese sales have been dropping like a rock since CS2, so now the only things making Falcom money are merchandising deals. Other than that, they gotta suck a bunch of Korean and Taiwanese investor dick just to get by. That's why CLE gets so much special treatment when it comes to localization timing and release schedules.

Falcom themselves only self-publish in Japan, and the profits from domestic game sales fall under their "product development" division of their business (left column in the pic). As you can see, those profits have dropped down to almost a third of their 2014 peak.

The only bad sub voices in Trails are when Falcom gets some AAAA+++ list seiyuu to voice someone and they phone it in because they don't care about Trails. Namely Rean and Renne's new voice actress.

The C route is good, and Kuro is a big step in the right direction.
Hajimari is basically Cold Steel 5 and is just as moronic as the other CS games, but in different ways. It's basically like Sky 3rd if Sky 3rd had three messy campaigns cobbled together into one, cranked the fan service up to 12, and had a shitty randomly generated gauntlet with gacha mechanics tacked onto it. Some people give it a pass because of C's route, but I still think it sucks.
Kuro is definitely a step in the right direction. It's still got the stench of CS in certain parts, but it's definitely trying to set itself apart in ways that make it better.

The Rufus route of Hajimari is pure kino and were the other two routes on par with it, it would easily be the best game in the series. The other two routes are CS quality, though the Lloyd and Rean routes do have some good character moments. The memory doors are a mixed bag - some are a slog, and some are pure kino.
Kuro 1 actually has a complete self contained plot unto itself, making it instantly better than the CS games in that department.

Yeah, exactly. In some games where the buffer is really lenient you can get away with some shortcuts like hold DS, release D, tap D, P and then it'll come out no problem.

They've switched to a new engine and are starting to merge both Ys and Kiseki into it in order to cut down on dev time.
It's also why Kuro got an action mode. End goal is to have gameplay be 90% similar between both series
CS3, Hajimari, and Kuro all massively improved the models and animations. They still aren't great but CS1 era they were PS2 tier, and I mean that unironically.
They still have the same abominable animations.
