Beyond that, Turtle WoW devs have chat filters that will alert them any time you use any terms that are sexist, racist, transphobic, Trump, COVID or vaccine related words and will chat ban you if you say something they don't agree with (even if it's just in party chat with one of your friends who is perfectly fine with the conversation) and if you try to ask them why they did it they'll just perma-ban you.

Look up 'Single Player Project WoW'. It allows you to play classic wow, TBC, and wrath single-player with bots. I tried it for a week with like 4000 bots and it was pretty cool. You run the whole thing locally on ur pc.

I've been playing Ascension recently. It's pretty fun, but I've realized the loop is prestiging and getting skill cards just so you can do it again. The amount of fricking weird ass builds you can make from the legendary enchants is neat though.

Yep. Played to level 54 before two of my friends got permabanned and denied and appeal. They were shit talking the devs in party chat just between the three of us and were told that even though it was party chat it was "unproductive to the community" and unwelcome on their server. Fair enough, make rules however you want, but I'll be sure to warn people about the server every time they post an advertising thread.

Epsilon if you're interested in roleplaying. As long as you do it in your own personal areas and aren't doing it in global chats or going to public areas and spamming it in people's faces they won't care.
Ascension is decent if you're okay with a lot of customizations. As long as you're not spamming the GMs don't care unless you actually get reported a lot.
If you want true classic just wait for Epoch. The dev team has a lot of people from the older big servers around 2010-2015 and have said they intend to take a hands-off approach to player interactions re: griefing, chat, guilds, raids, etc

Season of Mastery is different in that it's not supposed to be an exact copy of Classic. It's Classic but with tweaks to make the game harder or add extra things to participate in like Ironman challenges (it didn't actually get harder, people still steamrolled the content because Blizz refuses to make the bosses not have health pools that melt in sub-2 min)

Honestly also usually the world tends to be way more populated in private servers given people arent paying a subscription and as such they feel the need to speedrun less.
