i played it during those years I'd quit Ganker and it was horrible. Then a few years later I read threads about it on Ganker and, surprise, everyone said it's dogshit. It doesn't take many braincells to realize that DS2 is a shit game with shit atmosphere, shit monsters, shit combat, shit weapons, shit gameplay, shit environment, shit graphixxx, shit music, shit map, shit everything.

can't find good screenshot rn but does anyone remember that part at the beginning of the game when you're in an abandoned building on a wooden catwalk thingy and there are fire lizards at the bottom? those fire lizards and the floor textures beneath them look so fricking goofy. I quit the game a few seconds after that. Alt tabbed and uninstalled it.

I know where you’re talking about. You take the elevator down to the last giant there once you unlock the shortcut. They also hid one of the DLC keys down there in that flaming pit that you might not think about jumping down until you realize how fall damage is calculated in this game

A game with some cool ideas held back by being very obviously rushed and unpolished, the most janky Souls game with the most stiff controls.
DLC saves it at least as long as you ignore the bad parts of the DLC, which are optional thankfully.
PAID optional content being bad is egregious
