You're a junkie for nostalgia old man. Maybe it's time to live in the real world and put down the game.
What made you so bitter?
Years of neglect and abuse.
I can no longer genuinely enjoy anything.
It all feels fake.
Having passion for your hobby is different from letting it fester and take over your life. People post cringe, I'm sure you've been cringe before as well. It is ok to get excited for things. I'm sorry that others might have ruined that for you.
>Z0MG, LOOK AT TEH EPIK SCANLINES, INSTANTENOUS RESPONSE TIMES WITH LOW MOTION PERSISTENCE AND LOW BUT PERFECTLY PRESENTED RESOLUTIONS!
Try it on a CRT monitor and it will blow your mind.
Weird coincidence. Dead Rising was the first game that came to mind.
Couldn't afford an HDTV when the 360 came out, playing anything on it was terrible. Can't read any text.
CRTs have a purpose, this isn't it.
Weak eyes
360 didn't even have hdmi when it came out so hdtv would've been pointless.
inb4 buh muh component.
no, just no
Yeah I used component. Eventually used the VGA adapter and had it on a PC monitor.
If you get have the component cables 360 games can look fantastic on CRT. It was at weird time where many still supported 4:3 resolution, Devil May Cry 4, Dead Rising, Halo 3, Assassins Creed. Usually more 4:3 options than you would get on PS3.
My favorite is Perfect Dark XBLA remakes because it acts like an ehanced Nintendo 64 game with perfect performance but the same distinct geometry. Even if these aren't your cup of tea, its interesting to see different types of graphics being displayed on a nice CRT.
I know they supported it, but it didn't look good. Dead rising and Asscreed specifically were impossible to read the text on screen.
These are HD games anon, they are meant for HD tvs.
Reading is gay, are you a homo?
>He didnt buy an HD CRT when the technology peaked
Yeah, I couldn't afford it with my highschool job. My parents had one though.
What are you, 45?
ngmi
reading is simple if you can lift one of these ginormous trinitrons
Yeah, I played dead space on a crt and it wasn't awful as it's all I had but I couldn't read shit.
Ninety-Nine Nights sucked but I liked and touched peepee to the witch girl a lot
Frick bros I love my dell crt monitor. So glad I was patient and found someone giving one away.
playing 360 games in 480i is novel when they support it well and cancer when they don't. i have some nostalgia for playing dead rising that way but these days, i want to see the games that work well, so if it doesn't support 4:3 i usually quit the game and play a different one.
4:3 is fine if you have a VGA monitor, 480 straight sucks for 3d content.
>couldn't afford these new shiny HD TVs, so I spent years playing 360 on CRT
>buy a VGA cable later and hook it up to my monitor, immediately realize that I did in fact miss on all the cool visual and shit, the difference really is fricking huge
>a decade later, some moron on Ganker tries to sell 360 on CRT as some sort of incredible experience
How about you frick off.
