I generally dislike racing games under 60FPS but this is an exception.
I really wish there was a way to play Forza 3 on modern hardware
Forza 3 had a nice exploit where you could get infinite money that they patched via an Xbox live update. I stopped playing after 4.
I just had so much fun customizing cars and cruising around in that game
You could do it in either 1 or 2 as well.
Before the patch, the FM2 exploit required you to press the X button to sell the second turbo upgrade of a turbocharged car (typically a supercar is recommended), whilst selecting the right trigger nigh-simultaneously (which usually moves you to the very last upgrade available), in order for a confirmation message to pop up, asking if you're sure you want to sell the part, which also shows you what the part is selling for. If the message says you're selling the part for 0CR, then you exploited the glitch properly and confirm the sell, otherwise you should back out if the value is higher than 0. You would be able to do this as many times as you'd like.
Forza Motorsport 1 is just a cheat - create a profile with the name, tEAm4za, to receive 900,000,000 credits. Having the profile name, nOsLiW, unlocks all cars and sets you at level 50.
I just found out FM1 had a similar exploit as 2 and 3.
>Having the profile name, nOsLiW, unlocks all cars and sets you at level 50.
huh, PGR1 had this same cheat
No shit.
3 and 4 were peak Forza. They’re never going to make another Forza game anywhere near half as good as those games were. Hell, none of its successors can top any of the pre-XBone Forza games. The series will probably die after the next Forza game fails.
amen. seems like Horizon really took over rather than the mainline games. Can't really blame them.
Isn’t 6 meant to be the final title of the series? I’ve heard a rumor about it but wasn’t sure if it’s true.
They're rebooting it entirely afterwards afaik, just going to be "Forza Motorsport". Much overdue really, the Xbone generation left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
Thanks anon, I haven't attempted any 360 emulation yet, may give it a go.
The upcoming Forza Motorsport title doesn’t seem to be very promising, and it’s not really surprising that they’re reusing car models from previous games, despite the series being built “from the ground up,” but I was referring to Forza Horizon 6 when I made that post. I’ve heard that it’s going to be the final game in the Horizon series and it may take place in Japan; I just don’t know how accurate that rumor is.
Maybe the last by that developer, but there's no way they stop making them since they're more popular than ever. Might depend on how badly the new Fable flops
We’ll see.
I don’t have much faith left in Turn10, anymore. They will need to suck their loyal fans’ dicks by making a game everyone will want to play before I get another game made by them.
oh boy can't wait for zoomer tier dialogue vaguely referencing initial d
There are some graphical issues but the series is playable with xenia. They're some of the most popular games on the system so a lot of work goes into their compatibility. Horizon 1 works especially well
The game looks covered in vaseline
>Forza
impressive how Forza has always had a shit UI. Such a soulless game. Driving is still fun though
What happened?
Forza
Developer got bought by Activision and closed in just four years. Microsoft just shrugged and focused on Forza.
Filled a weird niche between sim and arcade racing, was probably tough to market despite getting rave reviews, and including geometry wars which was pretty cool for the time
This was the spiritual sequel to Metropolis Street Racer on Dreamcast.
More like a 60fps port, they barely touched it aside from adding in some soulless phoned in shite
>PGR series ended 16 years ago
>really loved the arcadey feel to the controls and handling
>still prefer it compared to later forza additions as a whole
god bizarre creations got fricking cucked
>tfw forza 1 had PGR ads
>still killed it
They wanted to port msr to ps2, they can eat shit
is it a problem they wanted to port it to ps2?
Same, and new arcadey forza games aren't a replacement. Driveclub felt pretty similar to PGR to me. And I guess Project Cars is somewhat close.
I liked the second one.
I fricking miss PGR2, bros. It was never ported or re-released, the BC on 360 sucked, the BC on One and Series never existed, and emulation can't handle it even with a 12th gen i9. Someday I might just HAVE to rebuy an OG xbox.
>Someday
As in yesterday?
Can we take a step back and appreciate Forza 1’s menu and in-race soundtracks? I get the impression that they’re underappreciated.
For some reason it feels slower than that even. Like I can play RRT4 and it feels fine at 30fps, but Forza 1 feels awful.
yeah, what the frick were they thinking? probs just seething because even at 30 fps thier game looks worse that gran turismo on ps2.
It looks worse than Sega GT 2002, released 3 years prior, on Xbox.
