I don't do this

have a nice day newbie
Looks like all that redditfrog newbies' bans are expiring. Damn shame, for the last few days the board was actually good again
This board will never be good again with all those pcturds running around free.
have a nice day.
I'm pretty sure I saw this exact "conversation" before
bots gonna bot
Go ahead and prove it’s a bot
not him but I use ai to write my replies most the time. you're probably talking to a lott of bots on here
can you elaborate on this?
a lot of times you'll see the exact same topics like a week later, and the exact same replies but the images slightly changed. Its mostly Hollow
why do they do it?
Wires in your brain got crossed so to speak. You didn't really like the game, so that's why there is no compulsion afterwards to play it.
Am I gonna live, doctor?
Wiser words have never been spoken.
this tends to happen when a game starts out fun but drags on for too long, becoming tedious gradually; it's why i couldn't finish games like okami and botw
That's just called overstaying your welcome, some games drag on just a bit too much despite otherwise being really good. I had this issue with DQ11, despite loving the series and 11 itself by the end I was starting to lose interest in it because it really starts to drag halfway through act 2.
Don't binge your games for days on end. Just play for like 2-3 hours and take a break. It'll keep you looking forward to playing again while also ensuring you don't burn yourself out.
Depression.
I bet you have a hard time even booting up a new game for the first time and have to force yourself, instead of refreshing Ganker and doing nothing all day.
speaking from experience
It's happened me with a few.
Persona 3 FES
Stardew Valley
Hades
Spelunky 2
Blasphemous
I will pick them again someday but i'm playing other games rn. For example, I replaced FES with Nocturne because the school aspect was boring.
Don't listen this homosexual.
>Blasphemous
Truly a blasphemy to not finish this game. Open your arms to your penitence, praised be the Miracle.
please stop describing me I'm going to start crying
It’s usually when I hit some sort of wall in the game
Spellforce got me while playing on hard with the master of fire demons
Wipes my whole army in seconds and the demons walk fast as shit so by the time I even respawn they’re already attempting to frick up my defenses
oh shit thanks for reminding me spellforce exists
Why do we frog posters face such discrimination everywhere we go?
I only do this if I stop playing a game for more than a few days. That's why I almost never try to juggle between games, I always end up favoring one of them and doing just that. I also try to play something to the end uninterrupted once I pick it up.
>playing game
>am enjoying the game
>see a thread about it on Ganker
>everyone is shitting on it
>stop playing and never pick it up again
The secret is to never take anything posted here for face value
contrarian opinions are what get (You)s and that's all that matters here
>donut steel the redditfrog
Becuase it is the most soulless, mainstream meme that has been old and stale for half a decade ago. Yes, it was funny that it was used to help get DT into the whitehouse but now it's time to move on
Just stop caring about opinions on Ganker.
I've been called a moronic subhuman countless times for liking skyrim, but no matter what they say I will continue to have fun while they seethe
Same, except for Morrowind
basado
I do this so I can think to myself that I have several games I consider good to finish someday (never).
Jokes on you froggays! I'm playing world of warcraft™ since vanilla and I never had this problem because I never enjoy the game! It works especially if you don't even try new games because that will make you depressed! Hahahaha
seethe
>Play game
>Enjoy it
>Despair how shitty my own life is in comparison
>Never play it again so I don't get reminded
Yes
I get this whenever I see loving parents in any media
Yeah, I did that with Doom Eternal and Metroid Dread. Other anons are right, it might be depression
nah, the games just arent good enough to pull their weight.
play Stellaris NOW
sometimes
if a game is long I might get tired of it even if it's enjoyable
happened with hollow knight for me. didn't know where else to go
>Play the game a couple of times
>drop it like a hot potato
>years later read all about it on Wikipedia (on mobile)
Why am I like this? Anyone else do this as well?
Used to do this. Dont do it anymore. Sometimes I won't play for a week or two but I'll be back. Simple as.
Happens to me a lot. Usually I don't get back to that game for an entire year and then when I pick it back up I finally beat it.
Recent example was with Jet Set Radio
>started JSR on April of last year
>finish the first 2 chapters
>stop playing
>pick it back up on April of this year
>finish the final chapter and 100% the game with all Jet rankings
It's annoying. Some games I never even finish. I pre-ordered DMC5 and played it day one yet I never beat the game after all this time.
I would genuinely like to know what’s wrong with you bc my gf (pretend I’m talking about my mom if me having a gf makes you seethe) does that with tv shows she likes and it drives me nuts
you dont apprechiate the work that went in to create the game.
>playing game
>enjoying the game
>realize that in 2 months i will officially graduate
>i will be a true NEET at age 25
>parents will likely press me to get a job
>stop playing game
Frick I did this for the 2nd time with Final fantasy 12 as an adult. I just don't know what to do after stopping to play for a few weeks and no desire to figure it out. Already beat it when I was a teenager years ago
I usually don't finish games I enjoy so I can tell to myself I still have something great to play. Also, if I don't know how things end the characters can still live their lives forever. I think it is a coping mechanism to virtually avoid losing everything I like again.
modern games are designed by psychologists and neurologists to exploit primitive functions deep within your subconscious in order to create steady releases of dopamine and serotonin. the reward loop, as it is called in the industry, fools your brain into thinking it's doing something improve your circumstance in life. upon turning off the game the reward loop is broken and the illusion of fun is shattered. you don't return to the game because the idea of the game isn't appealing, but if you force yourself to pick up the game again the reward loop recommences and you will once again be deceived into believing you are having fun. it's why every game now has crafting, rpg elements, and graduated unlockables. phds don't make fun games for players, they make profitable exploits for companies. tldr; money is why you don't pick up games again after putting them down. only severely bored people or people who fell for the "gamer" meme and now rely on engagement in the exploit to validate their identity finish modern games.
I do it too, OP. I'll typically be very far along in the game as well. For instance, I played through Mario Odyssey in the spam of a week or so and stopped at the Moon Kingdom.
>game is too good to rush and finish right away
>game is good but need some patch or a better PC
>never finish them
>game is shit or boring
>finish them as fast as possible
>end up completing more bad games over time
