Playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer right now. Ask me anything.
Yes, I'm still mad about the ending.

The ending was fine
have a nice day bioshillbot.
messeffect 3 was the turning point for gaming as a whole. this was the biggest fan backlash and the devs reaction to it colored all dev interactions with their customers for the decade.
What was wrong with the ending?
>what was wrong with not just the ending, but the majority of 3 and main plot of 2?
I'm glad you asked, here: https://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=27792
I'm not reading your schizo essay
the big thing was illusion of choice and how your paragon/renegade playthrough never mattered. There were several other problems that stemmed from earlier games and how the writing was inconsistent
Why would paragon/renegade matter? Renegade in this game isn't an evil route where you can ally with the antagonist. Also you get all the consequences of your decisions in the extended ending
nothing. people wanted to be able to earn a happy ending and to see 100 fallout ending slides detailing what happened to that spy on Noveria and other inconsequential stuff.
personally I think forced downer endings and leaving it up to the player's imagination what will happen to everyone is kino.
Fallout 3 ending > Fallout 4 ending >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fallout NV ending
The fact that they're bootleg versions of Deus Ex 1's endings.
Red, green, blue.
Oh, you didn't like that? We'll patch the game with an ending where everyone dies just to spite you.
The hero giving his life to stop an overwhelmingly powerful enemy is kino. Sorry it doesn't make you self-insert waifugay manchildren happy
nta, but people are completely fine with that part. What they hated was the star kid, and the ending scene being absolutely identical save for having a different color beam.
The DLC that added to the endings made it tolerable.
A "Happy ending" mod is one of the top downloads At Nexus. Most people are so basic and petty and its why most movies end with happy endings. Its all about the journey, not the final 10 mintues. Regardless, there are plenty of games out there with legitimately terrible endings no one b***hes about. ME3 hate is both group thinking and a meme.
ME3's ending was barebones, unsatisfying, woefully disconnected form any other choice throughout the series and completely out of left field. NO ONE liked the ending on launch. That isn't because of group think, but because it was lacking. The fact that all 3 endings had the same cutscene, with only the color of the beam being changed, was fricking laughable. The lack of an epilogue and explanation to what the frick even just happened only made things worse. Everything felt really off, and everyone recognized it. If you play the game today with the DLC installed, you may think to yourself "this isn't so bad", but that's because you don't know what it was like at release. The entire fanbase disliked the ending, for many different reasons. If you weren't here for Maruader Shields, then you don't understand
No, as in, the only real difference in the endings is which color the explosions are.
And their answer to those complaints was to kill everyone in the game with the Starchild going "frick you, then". It's the laziest fricking ending I have ever seen and Bioware deserve everything they've gotten since because of it. Frick 'em.
>you're posting with anons who were too young to remember Mass Effect 3's launch
Time flies
I played it 2 years after release with all dlc
It's boring. They should have either made it so that Synthesis and Refuse were the only options or gone with something entirely different. Control is moronic and Destroy is too easy
if the ending was fine why did they rush a dlc to fix it?
The multiplayer is the ending. The galaxy fights on while Shepard fights indoctrination aboard the Citadel
The servers are still up? Are they populated? It wasn't so bad on launch having to play this shit to increase galactic readiness but it still seems like a poor decision.
The multiplayer was by far the best thing about the game. The combat system is so good, yet you barely get to do anything with it in the campaign.
Yeah, there's still a small community playing it. I've never had much trouble finding a match on PC.
>anything
why didn't they put the multiplayer in the remaster?
what's your favorite dude and why isn't it the geth juggernaut?
Because are BioWare are lazy. Also, my favourite dude is a toss up between the Talon Mercenary and Cerberus Defector.
Does anyone play this besides you?
absolutely kino decision, anon. that game has incredible MP and it warmed my heart a few years ago when i booted up my old Origin copy to play online and was still finding full matches within a reasonable amount of time that people would play. i even made a 2nd Origin account once i realized i was gonna throw 10+ hours into it so i could start over from the beginning. lol
i looked into Andromeda's multiplayer but apparently it wasn't as well received for some reason so i never bothered trying it. i can't remember why.
Asari Commando and Blue wiener are both based choices. i need ME4 to come soon so Nyl will make some Asari smut.
I used to play ME3's multiplayer while playing Slipknot 10 years ago from 2012 to 2013. Did it again for old time's sake and holy frick; the nostalgia damn near brought me to tears.
For me, Nyl should make a vid of a virile Asari jacking it in the shower until she has a powerful, DBZ power-up screaming orgasm.
does ME3 standalone for PC have multiplayer?
Yes.
I can still hear the pizza delivery sound and I haven't played the multiplayer in 10 years
It was so weird that an overall shit Mass Effect had genuinely incredibly fun multiplayer.
It's so incredibly stupid that the Legendary Edition does not include the multiplayer.
I tried to refund as soon as I discovered that, but it was too late.
ME3 multiplayer was incredibly fun pve. Could get incredibly difficult too and the abilities/classes were so damn enjoyable. I used to play it with my brother and his friends when he went off to college. Was a great way to keep in touch with him.
The MP saved ME3. Play as a Krogan was kino.
>backhand slap an enemy into space
only kroganbros know this feel
>Playing MP on the Deck
>Still rocking N7 Crusader and Human Soldier
>Still getting lobbies
MP not being the Legendary edition is a fricking crime
>play 3 on Xbox
>okay ping but the grind for new characters and guns is ridiculous
>play 3 on PC
>can cheat in enough credits to roll for everything a billion times over but the ping is absolutely unplayable and I rubberband all over the place
I have no idea why my PC hates Mass Effect MP because my connection is equally shit for Andromeda
Would you let a hung Asari frick you in the ass?
No, but I would frick a hung Asari in the ass
>tfw Marauder Shields's last stand was all in vain
Indoctrination Theory is unironically 100x better than anything bioware could come up with.
I bought in so hard into the indoctrination theory, I was in such denial over how bad the original release ending genuinely was
Does Legendary Edition have multiplayer?
No.
Do Asari Commandos have hazing rituals for human males they work with?
