Xenoblade 2 in the span of one cutscene changed the lines

No wonder the VA work was awful in that game, the delivery and length of the line translations don't even make sense
There's also the fact that most of the VAs likely read their lines in a vacuum with no context, and then the very first readings of each line were used in the finished product. It's embarrassing.

Japanese people are unable to make an 'h' sound which is why it's translated like that. If you ever hear Japanese people laughing irl you'll get what I mean. Many of then start laughing woth a 'd' sound kind of like spongebob squarepants.

The Japanese language doesn't have the equivalent of an 'h' sound, when Japanese people are first learning English they pronounce "hello" as "yea-row", for someone reason their ears can't hear the 'h' sound so it must sound very strange to them when theu hear westerners laughing, mist sound like we're walking on rocks without shoes.

Trying to localize honorifics. It never looks good and they should either leave them be or cut them out entirely.
I think its just really fricking hard to translate the meaning behind it in a way that matches the original intent of the line. Especially when said characters directly reference the honorifics they are using and why.
I never understood the unwillingess to just add in a little glossary at the start of the work with a list of used honorifics.
Though knowing if the work will need said glossary or if it can be translated without honorifics is another issue, especially if that shit only pops up in, say, volume 17

I just don't get it. I understand when you don't keep honorifics and just have the character use the first name because that sounds normal in English rather than using the last name. Or using honorifics and keeping the original Japanese intact.
But why use honorifics AND change the name used? What
