There has to be a high ranking sony employee that wants to see the company fail. How they can sell this shit for $200 with a straight face is beyond human comprehension. This will absolutely fail and sony will once again falsely claim that the handheld market is dead. How fricking hard was a portable PS4? Sony is in the worst timeline conceivable.
>portable PS4
Just get a Switch or Deck you loyal goofball
Build one of those suitcase "laptops" if you really need to take a PS4 with you somewhere for all those exclusives
This thing is going to sell like crazy in its first week with a huge drop of and return to stores after that
What's funnier is seeing comments from people other places about buying one to sell for big bucks later.
As if anyone is going to want a dumbed down phone that can't be played on it's own in 20 years. Even the e-Reader wasn't this useless on it's own.
I wish it was just a Vita 2
I will buy it if it has all of the PSP games.
Is it OLED?
No. The screen is the sole thing they did right with this.
OLED is better
Tell me why you need more.
>Clip instead of telescopic
Might as well just get the shield portable
Its totally android. It's just a case of waiting to see if sony was dumb enough to try to lock it down. It which case, it should'nt be too difficult to install games and stream from ps4, but who knows.
>wrists hurt after half an hour because the phone makes it ridiculously top-heavy
better to just prop the phone and use the pad separately
How does it work? Does it connect to the internet or uses a wifi direct solution like Wii U? anything but the latter is completely moronic
It connects to the wifi that your PS5 is connected to and streams the games on your system back through that wifi to the handheld.
Wait, so can this thing play any games on it's own? Can you really only play something when on the same wifi as your PS5? Why are they making the WiiU gamepad? It serves no purpose anyways, adults will just use their TV, and most kids whose families can afford a PS5 probably has their own TV in their room.
Glad to know they're inspired by the tendie device.
your guys' expectations are too high, this is a controller that can stream vidya, what else do you even need
>Switchlets needn't reply
Why would I want to stream vidya when I can just play on my own tv
It's a cheaper way to play PS5 games without buying a ps5.
you need a PS5 to use it
guaranteed replies
>without buying a ps5
anon, you need a PS5 to use it. it only lets you stream games from your ps5 to the handheld, and only on the same wi-fi connection. you can't stream games natively on it.
>he doesn’t know
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
it costs 200 motherfricking dollars to be a glorified wifi TV with 1-2 hours of battery life
a switch lite costs that much
if anything the expectations aren't high enough
>sony isn't properly informing their shills
anon-kun...
I fear we will never have a return to the golden days of the vita
Snoy already burned the bridges with all japanese studios, even the one with square is crumbling down, put a rest to that dream, it's over.
This is what you get when you give corporate leadership to westoids, they only know how to race to the bottom.
>a controller that can stream vidya
A $300 controller to stream games for a console that doesn't have games
They are hoping to have an iphone moment.
Other people did the same concept for years before but now with the kinks worked out they slap their name on it.
a 200 dollar accessory so you can play your PS5 games in the bathroom. how did this ever get greenlit?
This is DOA. I could see the use if it was $100. Maybe even $150. But $200 is delusional for a locked down tablet that ONLY can be used for remote play(not even streaming video/movies from the tablet itself. This is the worst PlayStation era by a huge margin.
OH NO NONONONO
literally what's the point of this ewaste
is it for the goys that need to let "the wife" or kids use the TV?
why don't just buy another fricking TV? the price is already high enough to just buy one instead
The funniest part is that it literally costs more than a small smart TV.
That leak showing it running android gives me hope. If it's just an android tablet with PS5 controls glued on the sides, it's fine, decent price depending on the chipset.
If it's locked to just chiaki or ps5 remote play or something it's gonna be a frickin disaster.
If it IS hackable. Then I will plan on buying two of them when it gets huge discount, as I got fricked over with ignoring the VitaTV because I was like "DURRRR I have a Vita already why would I need it".
Why would you need a Vita TV anon?
Because, as someone mentioned, the OLED screen could crap out at some point and the Vita TV once hacked can play all Vita games. Plus, you can play Persona games for hours without a worry to charge it.
Sounds like you're interested in some piece of shit hardware just because it's rare/expensive now, those reasons are all fricking stupid lmao
Your opinion, but I got a Lego bundle last year basically brand new for the retail price of $150. Love the unit and play Miku f2nd and Persona 4 DAN on it for a long time. Also started Megaman Legends since you can just FTP games to the unit or directly download then from the Sony servers.
>Weebgoys are moronic with their money.
Again, if its android, hacking might not even be nessecery. Just load up sone apk's and a good launcher and BOOM. Better retroid pocket 3. (Unless the chip sony uses is g cloud tier)
But would this thing even have enough internal memory for anything of value to be loaded on to it? We already know after the Vita that Sony is autism moron paranoid about including any SD card reader with their devices.
>BOOM. Better retroid pocket 3.
you're aware that shit costs a hundred bucks, right?
this is double that
and this is ignoring you could already stream your soibox to your phone
I meant in terms of performance if this is just an android tablet. Course its clearly only price this high because of the controller. Chip might be complete ass.
It would be strange if it didnt. But I can see this really being a fuking 200 buck stream tablet, than can acutaly only stream.
>Lego's
>Weeb
Legends of chima BROKE you.
Remind me how much this E-waste costs.
Remind me how much a new non-lite switch costs, full price, not on sale.
>not on sale.
Switch has never been on sale, the most they've done is that mario kart bundle they releases each black friday for $299, which is the switch msrp already.
Sony died with Japan Studio. Everything since has been flailing.
westoids are simply reaping what they sow with their xenophobia
Why'd japan studio die anyway? I want a new soul sacrifice.
They were deemed to not be part of Sony's "target demographic" (ie they weren't putting out games like God of War, Last of Us, Horizon) and were disbanded.
I can somewhat understand gow and last of us (Even if new god of war is different) but who the frick even gives a shit about horizon?
snoy does
They made trash games that floppee: gr2,tlg
Wild Hearts is exactly that and nobody bought it.
I use my laptop to remote play when I’m at work. Pretty jank but free to do and it helps kill time. I will see remote play does not feel good for a lot of games. Like I wouldn’t play ac6 with it or returnal. But playing slower stuff it works fine. Might get this to kill time at the airport.
>at the airport.
my brother in christ you need to be on the same network as your PS5, this shit can't even use remote play remotely.
Fricking hell sony that’s terrible
At that point why didn't they just make a dock for the console with a screen to make it a shitty bulky laptop that needs to be plugged to a wall?
It would still have been garbage but people would have found it useful for the novelty and memes.
No this isn’t true it doesn’t need to be on the same network
I think it only works if its on the same wifi as the ps5.
You would need to bring you ps5 with you and connect both to the same wifi
I'm about to sell Sony a trillion dollar idea
>PSP Flow
>7" QHD AMOLED display
>120hz refresh
>adaptive/haptic triggers
>exclusive PSP Flow titles
>full ps4/ps3/vita/PSP/classics digital library through Sony store
>remote play support
>playstation+ premium support
>all games PSP Flow titles run at 120hz
>$350 256gb/$450 500gb
>expandable micro SD slot
>tmobile unlimited 5G $10/month
>7" 1440p AMOLED
Black person what the frick are you smoking
>PS4/PS3/vita/PSP digital
>4 different CPU architectures
X86 and PowerPC emulation on a first party device would be a miracle in itself
PS4/5 is a glorified PC and the other three can be mindlessly done through emulation by throwing enough computing power at the problem
I just can't wait for people complaining that these handles snap on every second unit
The design looks awful for portability away from the home. I'm sure it'll include some officially licensed carrying case, but that'll be an extra charge for hard shell protection.
