Depends on what you want to do, there are anime events with voice actors and other guests who show up, video game tournaments that are normally free to enter with cash prizes, I won a 75$ Gift Card to Target at a video game trivia event, the questions were so fricking easy, shit like "Who is Mario's brother?" we then start playing n64, pull out the couchbed so we can all sit and play
playing lego racers, 1080 snowboarding and goldeneye until we get too tired to play
fall asleep, wake up early and his mom made us all pancakes for breakfast, brett shows me this new game he has on his computer, roller coaster tycoon
I go home and first thing I ask is my mom to get me roller coaster tycoon so I can play it too, eventually my dad brings me to compUSA a few days later and I get the game
I also remember seeing tiberian sun when I was there, I was instantly drawn to that cool ass boxart and wanted it immediately
god I miss it so much bros, it's just all gone. all the joy, just how everything used to be word of mouth or what your friends were playing, you never looked at reviews, you never used the internet to find games, you just went to a store and looked at the cool ass box art and looked for something that looked fricking cool, and it turns out most of the time it was.
