One of those quotes implies that it is from when Pokemon Yellow and Stadium came out. So Beanie Babies would've been near their peak just a few years prior.
I mistook the raichu for being a recent variant from the Hawaiian themed game, which looks nothing like it. Something shorted in my brain.
It's 3am.
I'm going to bed. Frick you, good night.
I have an 8 year old cousin who I showed 50 different country flags, and he could guess almost all of them.
Kids can be really fricking smart with the right input.
That's not smart, that's memorizing stuff.
Your cousin has a great memory.
Lock him in a room and hide the key somewhere, if he can get out with whatever he has then that's smart.
They don't.
The answers were made up entirely by a seething parent who was tired of spending money on Pokemon cards and watching reruns of the anime everyday with their excited child who still loved Pokemon.
I was running outside on a trail yesterday and I overheard kids probably younger than 10 talking about pickachu and eevee evolutions. I really think this shit will not die.
Because those childrens parents, our fellow millennials, wont let it.
Just as many obese, balding, patchy bearded grown ass men cry and cheer for a new Pokemon product than actual kids.
Look at them killing each other over that shitty Van Gough Pokemon card months back.
It's the adults keeping it healthy. The kids consume it because we keep it relevant.
"All older kids hate Pokemon. Including me! I just think it's getting old. It's for little kids"
Awww, frick me for being sentimental on here. But this shit almost reminds me of watching my little sister grow up and harkening back to memories of being a preteen and thinking "being grown up" is cool or something. It's just cute to see this little universal fact manifest itself in some random child who's completely unaware of how typical that is, and how much she's going to hate "feeling old"
>students in my class add pokemon images to a presentation for some reason >ask them why they added pokemon images >student starts to explain who togepi is >I stop them and say I watched Misty carry togepi around for years and I know who it is >just tell me why you added these images >they can't explain >give them a low grade
frick you dumb motherfrickers

anybody who was actually around for gen 1 knows that there was a collective backlash against pokemon among kids in the early 2000s and if you were still into it people would call you a loser.
Fun fact - Pokemons TCG actually still thrive and sells like hotcakes. I was surprised to learn it's almost as popular as MTG in most shops I visited, my FLGS runs tournaments on regular basis and I always see lots of people participating.
From what I checked, it changed greatly along years, old cards are no longer legit to play with. One thing I noticed from just looking at cards was inflation of HP/damage values so I bet other things changed too.
Kids buy them because it has pokemon creatures on it, the game itself is secondary.
Adults buy it to flip them because a youtuber did it and made money from it.
>reading a kid's magazine
do tendies really?
wow, its just like the Ganker threads. they even have their own delusional digimon fan.
what the FRICK was Lula's problem
lol, who cares what Sahar's third world ass thinks anyways
reruns blow
Sounds like cope because he literally got
>Teacher, Sahar has his Gameboy out in class!
by Lula
reruns are goat. new episodes are for saturday
All these quotes are fake and made up by the magazine writers, aren't they?
Probably. When was the last time "Beanie Babies" floated about in the Zeitgeist?

All good. Get some sleep.
what 11 year olds talked about wasted money, cards being locked at stores, giving examples with "such as" or talked about reruns

Kids can be really fricking smart with the right input.
Poor kid has got the 'tism. Too bad it isn't for trains or dinosaurs. Going to grow into a Paradox fan.

A bad parent (woman) made it all up.
>I like the Power Puff Girls better
mega based
>Agreeing with a Girl
I hope you get cooties dude.
Lyndsay will still not go out with you to the dance, anon.
Let her go.
back when kids were pure, true to themselves and completely innocent...
nowadays their brains get poisoned by social media and youtube
adults and childrens hobbies are completely identical these days. there is hardly any space for them. it must suck.
>man, I wasted sooooo much cash, at least that's what mom always says
I was running outside on a trail yesterday and I overheard kids probably younger than 10 talking about pickachu and eevee evolutions. I really think this shit will not die.
go back to sucking dicks on reddit

Digimonbros, it's our time to shine
Sit down. It's time for the PPGsistas to take over.
PPG is irrevocably fricked since that weird motherfricker put his self insert into the reboot.
the new show is universally shit, the self-insert stuff is just the cherry ontop (however it was pretty gigachad)
Sentiment indicators tend to be contrarian... A basic result from behavioral finance after wll.

rejecting "kid stuff" is a universal experience at that age
middle schoolers these days hate pokemon too
Sure as hell didn't seem that way. Kids liked Pokemon, YGO, and DBZ. Simple as.
I was like 9 years old in 2014 and we were still playing Pokemon by then.
holy frick I hate time
I was 72 years old in 2014
I am not gay
one of these statements is true...
and it is NOT the one you would expect

Do people actually play PTCG? I always just thought the art was neat, but that's it.
From what I checked, it changed greatly along years, old cards are no longer legit to play with. One thing I noticed from just looking at cards was inflation of HP/damage values so I bet other things changed too.

god, i hate that

Adults buy it to flip them because a youtuber did it and made money from it.
I bet Lyndsey is a Blossomgay
i bet lyndsay is an absolute gigastacy now
Maybe if they'd produced good games rather than the same thing over and over again it would be different.
the demand for Pokemon games is clearly there considering gen8 is the 2nd highest selling Pokemon game of all time
