Bloodstained is a spiritual successor to a franchise all but abandoned by company that first made it. And the developers behind Bloodstained include the people that worked on the original Castlevania games.
The one thing that I hope comes out of Palworld is Nintendo and GameFreak get a wakeup call that someone can and will just eat their lunch if they don't get it together. Will the next Pokemon game sell gangbusters? Sure. But could it sell even more if it was a better game? Absolutely.
