Thoughts on Emerald Rogue? This could be a general if anyone wants to post their runs.
>dev is a troon
>conservatard gets triggered by something that affects them in 0 ways
boohoo, you felt disgust for two seconds
This leftoid is absolutely mind broken because people hate weirdo sexpest.
Why are all shitlibs such babies?
Some people have different values than you do, grow up.
its just not relevant to the game at all. you're free to not like it for that but it really doesn't affect much
No, but Nintendo's C&D will
>Scott Cawthon is a conservative who supports Trump
>NOOOOOOO LOCK HIM UP BOYCOTT FNAF THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE
>Chris Pratt is a religious man who went to some anti homosexual church
>NOOOO TAKE AWAY EVERY ROLE FROM HIM BLACKLIST HIM KILL THE CHUD
>hideous troony gets outed
>um no sweatie you're not allowed to boycott this it has nothing to do with the heckin wholesome gamerino ;(
youre free to boycott. i dont care. just gonna post about the game
The difference here is that I'm not giving the maker of this game any money. The day he starts asking for it is the day I uninstall and never look back
What does you not paying money mean for anything? By promoting this game you're giving more exposure and attention to the troony that they can redirect into a nice little monthly sum via Patreon.
I don't know if you noticed from the Chris Pratt example, but my point has absolutely nothing to do with the actual success of boycotts/canceling, only that one side of the political aisle engages in it heavily and the other is expected not to.
Or it's somehow 'less valid' when we do it because we don't want these hideous freaks walking around destroying themselves or destroying small children.
Dave Chapelle had mobs of people breathing down his neck because he dared to crack a joke about troons, that he got out alright has nothing to do with the fact leftists have a monopoly on rioting because of someone's personal beliefs.
Oh lol i was asking "whats the difference" sarcastically. Obviously the difference is dave chapelle is black and could use not only his knack for being arguably the best comedian in history but the also crazy fricking events between 2016-2020 to his advantage and basically calling him transphobic being racist. Noone wanted to touch that issue and still doesnt so hes free to capitalize on it.
Oh, I see what you meant, my bad then
Yeah sarcasm is a bit of a b***h to display on the internet, no harm no foul.
>dave chapelle viciously attacks israelites, whites, and trannies for nearly a decade.
>gets paid nothing short of 100 million USD to do so and recieves the Mark Twain Prize for comedy
Whats the difference?
He’s a comedian. Look at Kanye if you want to see what happens when a non approved black man calls out the israelites.
Kanye is an outlier. As based as he is hes off his fricking rocker in the eyes of the public since that taylor swift incident. Honestly more Black folk just meed to speak up about israelites but unfortunately we've gotten 2 so far and both are in a weird predicament.
>T-THESE DUMBASS TWITTER CULTISTS ARE moronic SO ITS OKAY IF I GET TO BE moronic TOO!!!!!!!!
people like have so little self-awareness it's legitimately embarrassing
Self hating trannies exist
>it's real
every time
Aaaaand dropped
>jump into discord
>clock the dev immediately
Lol
who cares?
Literally no surprise there. Any time you see someone who identifies as female online who has interests in hobbies that are overwhelmingly male-dominated, they're pretty much guaranteed to be a troon - especially if those hobbies are dominated by autistic males. Speedrunning and ROM hacking in general are two great examples of said hobbies. Some of you guys really should've picked up on this by now.
ywnbaw
>>you can retain stuff in between runs
cringe
You can choose not to.
Game's shit. Whitney doesn't even have miltank in this hack.
current run has no megas or z moves enabled and only up to gen 4 mons with the basic bag. feels a lot tougher you really have to manage your economy
Just won the league, this is my 4th run in doubles but salamence decimated those c**ts with brick break/outrage/crunch in singles so im assuming not much will change there provided he doesnt die to some bullshit. Funny enough he was the star if the show and fricking died in the champion fight and groudon ohkod all of stevens team. Dunno if thats just how this game is going to have to be played or not but i upped the difficulty of trainer fights and didnt EV train in my singles playthrough so hopefully that will make it more interesting. Overall this game has definitely taught me alot about competitive Pokemon and its really godamn fun to play.
procedurally generated runs makes hardcore nuzlocking (no overleveling no item) virtually impossible without insane levels of tryharding or getting god RNG on wild encounters. Seeing as nuzlocking seems to be half the appeal of these things, dunno where this is going
The entire point of nuzlocking is to make the vanilla games more challenging and interesting, doing it in rom hacks like this is backwards ass moronic. "Hardcore nuzlockers" are stupid and perpetually miss the point;
I know that, my point is that this game is begging for it, same with the likes of emerald kaizo and everyone jerks off that game. Problem is this game fails at even that
thats fine and good, but encounter spacing isn't the real issue here. In a lot of nuzlockes you plan encounters by abusing dupe clause and you fundamentally can't do that. Also good difficulty hacks make every encounter at least somewhat challenging (except chanseybreeders that some do)
>my point is that this game is begging for it
Not really. It just is how the game is designed, lol.
It wasn't made to cater to nuzlockegays especially, permadeath and level cap were just fitting decisions for what the game wanted to achieve.
and that, weren't hard to implement, too.
this isnt a difficulty hack, its an entirely different genre of game. its not like traditional pokemon
Im not sure what rules this game abides by. It does take pokemon out of your party if they faint but items in battle are allowed if you so choose. It has preset shit you can change before a run like no overleveling or trainer difficulty etc. But if you pick a route with 6 mons and just so happen to run into 6 pseudos you could just catch them all then. The only thing that deviates it from a regular nuzlocke, not a hardcore, is you can step into some rest stops and get a revival herb at the cost of losing a spot in your party. Personally havent tried it but its a cool concept i guess.
>Problem is this game fails at even that
The game can't "fail" at an arbitrary dumb ruleset applied by autists, it has no obligation to be developed to satisfy whatever dumb way of playing it you come up with. That's on you.
Its still alot of rng based luck but it does a few things different. You get 3 routes before gym battles and theyre calm(easy with 6 encounters and less trainers and items) average(4 encounters with slightly more trainers and items) and tough( 2 encounters and much more trainers with more items) you also have gameshows and rest stops and graveyards which give you oppurtunities to power up or cripple your team.
The hack is already permadeath and has a level cap so adding more Nuzlocke rules seems a little silly. There's other ways to churn difficulty out of the hack.
rainbow mode is hard as balls, at least drake isn't guaranteed at endgame anymore and wont have a stacked team
Pretty fun. Got lucky with Staryu as my starter, which gave me an easy evolution with a diverse moveset early on.
Haven't yet beat the Champion but I reached him on my third run. Multiscale Dragonite did a lot for me on that one. In general it seems like stall and defense is the way to get far in this game, rather than glass cannons. Something that works in regular battles like a suicide lead setting up Stealth Rocks really isn't viable here.
Having at least one weather setter is also pretty critical since a lot of late-run leaders rely on a certain weather being up permanently.
If anyone's discovered some fun plays or interesting combos I'd love to hear. This is such a cool, refreshing game!
so when you die do you just get another set of 3 starters to pick from and you go again?
No, you keep the one you started with. But after a run or two the Safari Zone opens up where the base form of any breedable Pokemon registered in your Pokedex spawns, and you can catch them (for a price.)
You still only get to bring a single Pokemon into the run, but you can have tons lined up in the PC.
You can also activate the gens/megas/Z-moves early by clicking on the north window in the settings house, which opens a secret area.
>>all 8 gens are included if you beat a run
gay
Haven't beat a run yet because I'm bad at the video game, but can you not choose Pokemon up to what gen appear?
because like see
this is the first game to make me truly feel like a pokemon master
?
nintendo took down those 4 games and nothing else for some reason
what the hell happened here. anyway just finished a run
What kind of run did you do and what mons died in your final bout?
There's some bug where if you select a Z Move but get knocked out before you do it your next move will be the Z move but it sucks total fricking ass? Juan had a Mantine with Leftovers pop a Z and do about 2 damage to me. I also lost a run because my Z-Seismitoad went down and my Tapu Fini used Hydro Vortex instead of Moonblast against a Garchomp and it did about 25% and had to sack pretty much the rest of my team. Maybe it's just a visual glitch and Talu Fini really blows that much ass but still.
Also here's my winning Rainbow Mode run. Zam was my starter, got Kyurem after gym 2 (and swept the champ by setting up 6 times and packing Sidney,) Regidrago was a late pickup but Scarf Dragon Energy outspeeds and blows out everyone that isn't a Fairy. The rest were filler I picked up on the last 2 routes. Didn't use em.
Should I play this if I'm casualgay?
>tried Emerald nuzlocke, too sweaty
>tried Emerald + randomizer, stuck on Gym 7
Any other rec would be really appreciated.
No, you'll hate it because it will require constant retries.
If you're struggling with regular Emerald Randomizer, you'd probably want to play this on easy mode. You'll have to restart a bunch due to permadeath but you'd probably get a winning run sooner than vanilla Emerald
It's not that I was struggling, but my runs kept getting hardlocked on areas that required diving. Maybe I was using wrong patch, I don't know.
Oh, you'll probably be fine then. I'd say it's harder than a regular Nuzlocke (going deathless even with hardcore rules isnt too difficult) and follows a few of the same rules- permadeath, level caps (you can disable these) but you can complete a run in a few hours so failure isn't as annoying. You also get rewards for progress that you can use in the hub world to make subsequent runs easier.
You can change alot of settings before you even start a run and losing a run just resets you really quickly instead of a few minutes of textboxes to skip over so its pretty streamlined. Plus theres a hubworld where you unlock all kinds of stuff to make it easier if you want so yeah, casualgay away.
First run, got lucky and traded for a Lugia from Mr Random and found a Metagross on route before gym 6.
Those two carried me in the elite 4+ champion but I lost the metagross in the end.
Unlocked safari zone and all gens but havent gone back to it yet.
Can you basically catch anything you want for a new run, once you unlock the zone and catch the pokemon in a run?
yup, and if you find a shiny in a run it will appear here too
Neat.
Is there an option to remove legendaries from a run though?
Kinda felt bad about using Lugia but then elite 4 had birds and Steven had a Mewtwo.
>good game comes out
>BUT THE GENDER, THEIR GENDER THEIR GENDER THEIR GENDER
these are the people who unironically think gamefreak makes good games
the mod is fun but it really is a shame about the troon; I was really hoping for a real qt poke female for once
bait or not please have a nice day for deteriorating to the point of madness
I don't like troons
glitched spites while riding the bike.
also, hms feel pointless outside of surf, when most areas are only blocked from one side with a cuttable tree, or movable rock. (you can just go around)
What are the shiny odds? they feel really easy, having run into three shinies already.
pretty fun.
1/100
Is there any way to reroll your starter? I rolled Sunkirn, and I can't get anywhere with it.
once you have 15 mons in the dex you unlock the safari zone where you can catch new starters
Ah, funny enough I just unlocked it immediately after I posted. Can you catch legendaries/mythicals in the Safari Zone, or is that something you can only you can do in the main portion of the game?
once you beat a run you can
>Runs are procedurally generated
like mine on the toilet
it gets tougher if you turn evs off because enemy trainers dont use them
