Honestly, any new entry for a Spin-off would be cool. Ranger would be nostalgic, Pokken has potential, Conquest couldhave a proper sequel or pseudo-sequel that crosses with Fire Emblem, something like a new Stadium/Battle Revolution would make peoplehappy, Poképark is just cozy af, Dash would be hilarious...
And don't get started on Mystery Dungeon. A new game would be great, even a Explorers or heck, even a Gates to Infinity remake. (A pipe dream would be an Animated Series. My goodness that would be so cool....)

BW/BW2 ports released Spring and Summer '24. They're direct ports that only change the UI to fit on one screen and non-pixelated fonts for readability, even though it stylistically clashes and looks like shitty mobile port. BW3 in the fall.

MY FANFIC:
Dual release announced like in 2021. One being Legends Johto and the other being Future Unova. This explains those regions' dual shilling lately and frees up the post Gen 10 slot for actual Unova remakes that are more faithful (and maybe even B3W3, but that's wishful thinking assuming Future Unova doesn't scratch that itch). Then, assuming Gen 6 gets remade all the way in Gen 12, that leaves Gen 11 open for B2W2 remakes. I know it sounds weird but it makes sense, as Gen 5 was the last gen without a remake in it to give a re-remake to in an odd-numbered Gen.
As for gap years, it all depends on if Gen 10 is coming out 2025 or 2026. If the latter, they'll just spread out the two games and maybe give small DLC like they did with Sinnoh revisits to hold us off.
bdsp style remakes for unova while game freak does their best to get their gen 10 games to run at the bare minimum on their switch 2 devkits
you know there won't be a gap year ever again. if they have to they will shit out Distorted Platinum a la BDSP but more bugs.
While I'm a full zoomer always in need of content, I actually hope so. they can close the gap with spin off from non-GF studio, while GF has some more time to work on the next remake and the gen 10
