If you've been Cali (LA, San Deigo), it's like a cross between New York and Florida but full of homeless people and the whole state stinks of shit and all the buildings are flat but "California" was added to BW2 anyway. You've also got Hawaii (and Polynesia in general) as not only its own region as Alola but also in that town I don't remember the name of, with Marlon as the gym leader. Also there's already Orre for the desert-y states. It's like, okay, you could have those gay mountains you've said that no-one cares about or you could have the storied Alps, one of the most famous mountain ranges in the world, in your Italy region.
I wouldn't complain if the new region was based in the Saudi Arabia. All the poke girls being covered up leaves more to the imagination. Would love to see a female water type gym leader in a burqa.
A Jamaican, Egyptian, or Australian based region would be nice. Frankly I believe heavily basing off regions off of real nations is a mistake, but if we are gonna keep doing it might as well take a break from the Euroslop regions.

Technically if Singapore is represented it will probably be coupled with a malaysian inspired region, but the idea of a whole free roaming city map could be very interesting. They could introduce pokemon biomes in the form of specialized parks in a similar maner of the terrarium dome of the Blueberry Academy.
However it also need a strong narrative to make it work like a evil faction trying to take over the city and a lot of side activities and interactable buildings which is work I don't trust gamefreak doing well. Sadly I don't know a lot of about the city to propose something more specific.

It also has a very pitiful selection of regional forms. I think indeed there are as much references to mexico and japon that there is to Spain or Portugal.
The country election don't seems to affect most of the creative decisions, and since they forgot to do anything special with Solrock and Lunatone in Sun/Moon I woun't be surprised if they forget to put kangaskhan in the game

It makes more sense to find a new way to evolve mons. It's really gonna be hard to explain in universe why a Baby version Onix only started hatching now.
On a semi related note, I'll never understand why out of all the games, they left out Onix in S/V If there was any game that could have fit in a Crystal Onix, it was this game. HELL, with the introduction of Bloodmoon type mons, there is even an excuse for it being so special.
the idea of baby pokemon isn't awful, the problem is the use FOR them is never capitalized on.
The idea of adding baby mons would be to add them in early areas... but most times, they are never implemented that way, they are just shitty mons that you have to go out of your way to breed to fill out the dex.
Like in BW2, the ability to get riolu early is both sensical, and gives you access to lucario in a natural way, ro magby and elekid, makes sense and is there if you want them.
That and another evolution can't always work, like snorlax can't get an evolution, it is already good, we don't need more powercreep to make not only a stronger snorlax, but also making it so snorlax can abuse the other stupid part in the game, eviolite.

It makes more sense to find a new way to evolve mons. It's really gonna be hard to explain in universe why a Baby version Onix only started hatching now.
On a semi related note, I'll never understand why out of all the games, they left out Onix in S/V If there was any game that could have fit in a Crystal Onix, it was this game. HELL, with the introduction of Bloodmoon type mons, there is even an excuse for it being so special.

the idea of baby pokemon isn't awful, the problem is the use FOR them is never capitalized on.
The idea of adding baby mons would be to add them in early areas... but most times, they are never implemented that way, they are just shitty mons that you have to go out of your way to breed to fill out the dex.
Like in BW2, the ability to get riolu early is both sensical, and gives you access to lucario in a natural way, ro magby and elekid, makes sense and is there if you want them.
That and another evolution can't always work, like snorlax can't get an evolution, it is already good, we don't need more powercreep to make not only a stronger snorlax, but also making it so snorlax can abuse the other stupid part in the game, eviolite.

I don't know how this "vacation" theory hold up, but if the region selection is going to remain eurocentric I would have prefered Greece, Italy or Germany. At least I hope they bring in the entire Benelux if its the case
