The first time I played this game I was having so much fun, it looked promising and nice.
Then they started to add all this meta bullshit, trying to ride Reborn's bullshit and up the ante everytime.
After everything, they now reworked the early game to be even more annoying, forced Melia into even more situations and only expanded in the events where you don't even play as yourself.
Oh and of course we are not us, we are the actual player controlling the body of an NPC, so why even bother to have any sense of immersion?
I need a thread shitting on this crappy game and its idiotic plot, reaching the ending where everyone allegedly gets killed is taking way too fricking long.

Yeah and the "training" arc was downright insulting given that both Damien, Alexandra and basically their entire bloodline are a bunch of fricking jobbers.
Things got drastically worse in a lot of aspects after V13 was released. The story got way too convoluted and even more unnecessary characters and details were introduced.

I'm playing through for the first time right now and the thing I hate the most is how often you'll win a fight against Xen only for them to literally just walk away, or do exactly what they were about to do anyway
The only time it's different is when Crescent or someone else shows up because of course she gets to matter

This game is just genuinely awful, it's arguably worse than Reborn in several ways. After a certain point you could tell things like 'gameplay' and 'fun' stopped mattering and it became a DBZ tier fanfiction concerning a donut steel OC with 30 minute long interactive cutscenes.
Chapter 15 is one of the worst things I've played in my entire life OP, you may think the training arc is bad but it gets so much fricking worse afterwards. Just nonstop nonsense dialogue about stupid fricking morons no one cares about and barely even any actual Pokemon gameplay. Like holy frick for all Reborn did wrong, at least it pretended to be a fricking Pokemon game at points, Rejuvenation just stops trying.
And everything I described is v13. v13.5 I've heard and seen makes the game worse story-wise in a lot of ways, and frankly I'm just so fricking sick of it. I don't even think I'll touch the game again until it's complete (or maybe ever) unless the stupid fricking creator gets his head out of his ass, which won't happen because he has a community full of slobbering morons who worship the ground he walks on

I think the best thing about thing about this game is probably the maps? Like it does look good for what it is.
Yeah, the game does look nice. Shinies have bad pixel work, character sprites do as well, character artwork is across the board mediocre, but the maps themselves are good...for a Pokemon fangame anyway.
And, prior to v13/v13.5, the levels themselves actually were okay with a decent amount of exploration, not just pretty hallways with a shitty puzzle or gimmick thrown in every once in a while.
It's such a shame so much time has been devoted to making things worse.

From what I've seen of the mass murder ending you have to team up with Melia from an alternate universe/timeline who overwrites the Melia in your world, because there needs to be someone to steer the plot and decide in which order you kill people.
At the very end your character starts speaking on its own and tells her it will, in fact, erase everyone from existence. Including her and itself. Sounds like it's to save them from an even worse fate idk I just saw some youtube videos didn't play 13.5 because my laptop died.

You'll kill her eventually, in a later version. At the end of the current Renegade route your character starts speak on its own and tells her it never needed her and only went along with her because she would've gotten in the way. Also she's an edgy c**t in that route and she calls herself M2, she gets upset the MC keeps indiscriminately erasing people from existence instead of torturing people who wronged them like she does.
I dont know why they give you the option to be an edgy c**t to your (nominal) friends but not one to just try eliminate the people that have it coming

I've played a ton of games where usually after a fight you're supposed to lose, if you win the game continues anyway.
I don't think I've ever seen a game which requires you to win a fight that you then proceed to automatically lose because your character just stands around, gets you killed, revives you and requires you beat said villain's ass again and then you just STAND THERE AGAIN and would let the villains get away so another character has to come in and save the day.
Quite honestly possibly the worst written game that isn't just deliberately awful troll shit. And it's even worse than a lot of those types of games too
