i suppose there was some spoony / youtube drama around the middle 2010s but, again, nobody gave a shit about all that.
i don't even pay attention to this guy. he doesn't review enough games (anymore), he doesn't get to the games in a timely manner, he mostly does TRIPLE AAA which games I don't buy.
He'll put a review out like 1 or 2 months AFTER a game hits, meaning he doesn't get free games anymore.

miyazaki has gone on record multiple times he was inspired by zelda when making the souls games but demon souls is also heavily based on kings field

Satoshi Tajiri is VERY open about his inspirations, which includes Akira Toryiama, and he wouldn't be alone, Toryiama inspired a lot of mangaka and artists of the era, just like how he was inspired by Yudetamago.
A lot of Pokemon's design philosophy and designs can be traced to Toriyama's art and DQ's gameplay.
Mind you, none of this is a BAD thing. Pokemon very clearly isn't DQ and Tajiri's work isn't Toriyama's but there is a clear line between them
