Fricking this holy shit. I don't mind being railroaded in certain parts of the game or being forced to interact with the rivals here and there, but forcing a cutscene with one in every fricking location is infuriating

This just isn't true. Even if you ignore the obvious desert/snow/cliffs, there are things like the bamboo forest, swamp area, graffiti tree forest, and beaches that look very different from the basic plains of most of the south.

Nope, world being littered with pokemons and trainers thrown in at random locations doesn’t make it feel alive. Besides the school city and like three towns, the other towns are pretty barren and not interesting.
It's fun and it is a very good foundation for them to build on going forward. I imagine it will sell extremely well.

Yeah, you have to beat all three main quests to unlock area zero. No idea how long it’ll take to rush it since I took my time.

Performance of the game is shit, it isn’t the best game for that reason alone. Pokemon is shackled by graphics being shit.

It's an improvement from the last game but we're still dealing with a 5-7 out of 10 depending on your personal experience and what you want out of these games. Feels like a comfy run around and catch everything kinda podcast game to me, assuming it doesn't chug like shit after a couple more QoL updates.

There are 18 main objectives, 8 gym badges, 5 titan bosses and 5 star camps. All have to be completed to advance the main story and all are called badges.

It just seems like padding to conceal the lack of actual content in the games. Fighting a single Team Star grunt and then auto-battling a bunch of weak Pokemon with a 10 minute time limit (in 2 minutes) in no way felt like finishing a gym. It just sort of felt like a silly side activity.

Eh, the game is decent. Graphics is a letdown and looking for all the stakes without any sort of clue/hint was a hassle. Think the other major gripe I have is that small pokemons can be really hard to see when you’re mounted so you run into them constantly.
