The Game follows your protagonist from legends arceus ordered by arceus to go to the ancient Johto region called the Sahto reigon and make your way to the Sinjoh Temple. Early in your adventure, you encounter Celebi and it joins your adventure as your partner Pokémon.
You don’t keep your pokemon from Legends Arceus but you can start to bring them over pretty early on.
