I've been keeping an eye on this for quite some time. Turns out the guy actually delivered, it's probably the most impressive hack I've seen so far
Quick rundown
Multiplayer features:
>can play Emerald with friends (up to 4 people)
>all the players will roam the same world

>can fight every npc in multiplayer mode (including gym leaders), they'll turn into multi-battles

It's all patches of all versions of everything I can find, and I also remake many patches with the bps function of Floating IPS to save space. If something is posted as a ROM like this one, I'll use that as it saves the most space. Xdelta may make 20MB DS patches whereas FLIPS makes it 3 MB, and UPS patches made from the Emerald decomp don't compress properly and will be ~30 MB each while FLIPS makes them between 10-15MB. I generally can't keep track of everything at once, and the archive currently contains ~180 Japanese FireRed hacks. I can't maintain a prepatched archive, otherwise I'll run out of harddrive space and the uploading will take an eternity.

If an emulator supports LAN, all you need to do is create a virtual network to play with other people. There is an emulator for android that supports "multiplayer" though, but I never tried it.

There's a setting you have to select at the start.
By default you can only do rematches in the endgame, but enabling the option lets you do that from the start by simply talking to them.

Honestly see no reason to play this other than the multiplayer function, and even then I have to deal with all the other features neither I nor my friends really care about, like the overworld pokemons instead of normal encounters.
Also there's either a lot of anons ITT or one single mega-autist who don't seem to understand how cramming 800+ pokemon into the limited amount of routes in Hoenn (a good portion of with are just water) can make the distribution feel awkward and bloated. I remember playing pokemon Gaia and being thrown off by how each route back to back had completely different catchable pokemon, and getting a viable 6 pokemon team I could carry to the endgame before the second gym. I get extending the pokedex by like 100-200 slots and like the variety it adds, but 800+ is just a ridiculous amount to immersely fit in Hoenn of all regions.
Guess I just wish I could play the multiplayer function without all the other subjective QoL "improvements".

Just look at his internet presence. Modders usually spread their shit everywhere, shillposts are made on countless forums and socials and subreddits, but this guy is basically a ghost. He worked on it for like 5 years or more yet he only started posting about it like a month or two ago, and only on his YouTube (uploading very shot videos with unintelligible titles and descdiptions, as it's all in his language).
As a direct result, his mod is almost obscure, and that's almost certainly by design. The only way to know about this guy was stumbling on his deserted twitter by accident. When this thread was made, the hack was only ever mentioned on a grand total of 1 (ONE) site on the entire internet (a Spanish Pokémon blog).
Not only the guy does zero promotion, he clearly doesn't want his shit to be played by anglos and derivates. Just look at his (minimal) online presence, it's all strictly Spanish, he only has a small Spanish/South American audience, he deletes English comments on his YouTube videos, frick, English is literally BANNED from being spoken on his discord (which is like a month old too).
Either he desperately tries to avoid attention, or he hates anglos/americans/aussies with passion. I bet he even regret starting from an English Emerald rom, he was probably forced as most of the modding tools don't work on localized versions.

The hack was previously just known as "Pokemon Emerald Multiplayer". He must have decided on a name change within the last year. I checked Wayback on the old videos to try to get some more versions for the archive since I found alpha4_v3 last year through a Twitter search for various cloud storage links but wasn't in the mood to dig further. I must have used "mediafire.com hackrom" on Twitter when I found that one.

I remember it being mentioned in a YouTube comment more than two years ago, apparently the guy changed name and scope of the project then went dark for some reason and nothing was heard about it until it resurfaced

If only they took even just HALF of this effort to make logical choices in terms of Pokémon populations in each area, and fixing proportions to make them consistent between assets they ripped from different sources (as an artist this just makes me nope out so quickly, sorry but I can't walk around with a bunny whose head looks bigger than my entire OW avatar).
I know it's hard to make everything artistically coherent but please try. If you know the coding so well you can push any kind of foolery in your hackrom, then you should also have the dedication to care about coherent proportions.

It's easy to grind in Dewford there's a fisher with a single Chewtie/Drednaw, just bring a grass type and bully him to level up easily. Drednaw gives a lot of EXP early
The 100% shiny feature and other custom options are great, but there's no reason to play this over altered emerald or inclement emerald. The creator speaks spanish and bans anyone who doesn't as well, not a very good sign.

Finally found whats up with z-moves. Its not enough to just have all the items to activate them. You need to defeat at least 1 strong aura-pokemon in artisan cave of the corresponding type to unlock the actual use of a z-move.
And some moves are simply not usable for z-moves at all because the game creator fricked up. Like eevees special moves.
