Sure, maybe the European dialect is somewhat different from the LatAm dialect, but it's still the same language. Meanwhile my country never got a single official translation of a Pokemon game despite being the 5th most populous country in Europe. What's more, we didn't even get localized boxes and manuals. Even countries like Sweden or Finland with a fraction of our population got them. The only localized material related to the Pokemon games is a guide to Red, Blue and Yellow sold separately in the year 2000 that I happen to own. Some Nintendo distributors also printed their own translated manuals but they were in black and white and not in color like with official localized manuals. We have to rely on fan translations or play in English. And genuine English-language copies of old Pokemon games cost a lot of money nowadays, much more than the Spanish ones.
