>Crusader: No remorse/No regret series
This shit was so far ahead of it's time and would work great as an immersive sim Prey/System Shock style or even just all action and be great. The systems in place in the original, like remote control drones, computer hacking, destructible environments would all lend themselves perfectly to a Deus ex style game. Not to mention the vacuum against woke gaming it's plot has. A faceless crusader genociding his way through the World Economic Consortium would be hard for even the most blue haired of game devs to frick up.

a game ripe for a woke retelling
You don't even understand how much I miss this game
why'd you do this to me? class based shooters these days are all trash, to the point where tf2 is still the best one on the market
i literally know who you are irl lmao
>class based shooter
>round based with econ management
>all magic/tech available to whole team, just depends on how you can use them with class you chose
>on console
>crossplay to pc (frick gfwl)
this game was ahead of its time take me back
i only got in on the tail end of its life cycle too so my experiences were mostly "damn this game has a lot of cool systems, wish i could find a full match"
i only ever got to taste
why is shadowrun so grossly underused anyway? does HBS have a vice grip on the video game rights or something?
Microsoft owns the rights to shadowrun games after FASA went under. It's always been a niche franchise as they make more money licensing shit to HBS than what it would cost to develop shit in house. I love shadowrun, but it's always only ever been the "great value" brand of cyberpunk.
that's true but only incidentally. i feel like nobody with proper weight in the industry and marketing chops has thrown themselves behind the setting before. they should have launched AA competitor to 2077, they had plenty of ramp for preproduction with the game having been announced to investors a decade ago, and they could've absorbed LTC money in the window between 2077 and its first DLC. obviously they couldn't know it at the time, but had they done so they would've probably gobbled up all of the week 2 and 3 sales after the reviews and youtube commentaries about 2077 started dropping.
It had it's heyday in the early 90s with the genesis and SNES titles. There's a reason HBS had to do a Kickstarter to get the games funded. It's a great franchise, but from a business perspective it's at best a slight profit type project. It's the kind of franchise that you either put minimal investment and minimal profit from or you risk everything with hundreds of millions thrown at it. It's just not worth the risk.
Who am I?
if i guess right will you come back to me?
You don’t know me, but sure
Bioshock
no
Killzone
Resistance
The Infamous
SOCOM
pretty much all good snoy franchises
Fantasy life
Tomogachi
NINTENDO PLEASE LISTEN TO MY PLEAS
Nothing deserves to be raped by a remaster or remake.
Megaman Battle Network
Golden Sun
Marvel vs Capcom
Shounen Jump
Magicka
Forgot to add ANYTHING to do with Day of Defeat/Team Fortress
Custom Robo
jassica16
Bloody Roar
Rival Schools
Toshinden
Darkstalkers
Ehrgeiz
even just as guest fighters in another game
Even if it was bad I'd like a new clay fighters game. Only for the novelty of having a stop motion animated fighter in a decent resolution.
capcom really should use its licensing might to create a "forgotten fighters" game with all of the popular characters from defunct IPs, would be a pretty clever way to establish relationships to buy up dying IPs and test out new mechanical interactions for their more mainstream games to boot
Chromehounds
Hellgate London
also to above:
Thief
Dark Messiah (and Might and Magic in general)
King's bounty
Splinter Cell
Medal of Honor
The Darkness
Let Thief rest in peace. They already tried a reboot and it was fricking awful.
I don't steal to live. I live to steal!

one game that felt short out of 4 games
many franchises that have done much worse are still alive
it's out of c**t enix's claws so we have a good shot of having a good game that I hope will NOT be on unreal
i agree about the snoy franchises because those games could probably find great communities now that exclusivity is pretty much not a thing. also socom in particular because we're in desperate need of simulation games, everything has become so arcadey.
but they tried splinter cell without michael ironside and it was the most soulless thing i've ever seen. blacklist is extremely cringe even with all of its production value and interesting ideas for the series (and no i'm not talking about the god awful bullet time mechanic)
they should have just paid out the ass to give Ironside the James Earl Jones treatment and had Sam Fisher on deepfake demand like Disney does with Vader
Thief needs to be laid to rest, golden games like that only require remasters when new technology is on the scene like HD or (nearly-perfected) VR, then be put back to sleep.
Medal of Honor deserves another shot and Darkness deserves the shot it never really got. not sure about King's Bounty.
again, I disagree about thief, give it to arkane or something, instead of developing dihomosexual 3, let them do what they do best, or better yet give to Raphael's new studio since he was the brains behind it all
SOCOM 2 I enjoyed for the single player (had good atmo) and Confrontation has the tightest gameplay of any third person shooter I've ever played
The Darkness 1 needs to be remade, shit had insane aesthetics and environmental design
Though when it comes to snoy my number 1 pick to resurrect would be The infamous followed by killzone (K3 is my second fav FPS oat)
also resurrect Prototype now that we are at it, no woke shit, return to Alex
Legend of grimrock
Warren Spector was one of the directors for Crusader, and it being a proto-Deus Ex is pretty clear in some ways. If they weren't moronic and put Crusader into a Build-level engine instead of the Ultima 8 engine, it would have been bigger than System Shock.
Advance Wars, Fzero and SSX
