Personally, Farigiraf’s concept makes perfect sense since the heads are more co-operative yet still not 100% harmonious. Dudunsparce’s works because Dunsparce is already meant to be a joke and Dudunsparce just continues on it without feeling mean sprited.
I started liking Farigiraf a lot more when I realized that it has vertical symmetry instead of horizontal symmetry

Finally, it has an appealing color scheme that, while not using complimentary colors, is still easy on the eyes while helping it stand out among its fellow Gen 2 Pokemon. Of course, it's not perfect, but it was plenty lovable. It was designed in such a way that it would work as merchandise. Sure, it didn't have the popularity it likely deserved, and its representation in the anime wasn't all that good, but from a design point, Dunsparce was fine as it is.
Dudunsparce was an oddball pick of an evolution, but it takes all of the previously mentioned traits and dials them up. We get a longer snake, a bigger drill tail, and extra wings. It even has a pointless yet neat additional form that serves no purpose outside of vanity. You get more Dunsparce, and that's all Dudunsparce is. That's fine as a concept, and while the general opinion on Dudunsparce sways between "I like it" and "I hate it" with no real middle ground, the fact remains that it's not a bad design in theory. We could have gotten WAY worse, but we didn't.

Before Jules Caesar memed it into another synonym for inheritable dynasty, the title of Emperor used to be an elected position you know.
Regardless, it's not a fricking job. Empoleon references Napoleon specifically.
So what do you think the "emp" part stands for, ESL-kun?

Mate, its name and design are inspired by emperor penguins, which are real animals.
