Persona 1 is stuck in this weird pick your poison situation. The PS1 version has the soundtrack intact, but one of the most questionable localizations ever conceived for a video game and even an entire second route cut from the game. The PSP version has a more faithful translation and some QoL improvements, but the soundtrack was replaced with something in the style of P3 & 4 with no option to change it back. There is a ROM hack for PSP that reverts most of the OST, but it's still missing a good third of the soundtrack. The PSP Persona 2s are fine, they let you use the original soundtrack if you don't like the remixes.
Didn't Translator Tom say something about trying to translate the japanese psx version of P1? There was even a screenshot. Personally, I wish he focused first on translating the pxs version of SMT II.
They have bonus dungeons if you transfer save files and the fan translated Eternal Punishment even got that working. The US never got Innocent Sin on PS1 anyways so PSP is still the way to go.
Yes, if you want to play them in English without obnoxious localisation changes

persona 3 was so powerful that it singlehandedly raped all mainline SMTgays
frick off nyarlathotep
Persona started at 3
I see, Thanks. I will start playing them now.
no dont, they are all lying to you anon... please stop
Enjoy the ride, anon.
Your mom started at 3 too but when the fourth finger went in that was good enough for my dick to join the fun.
Ok. I have played persona 3,4. And enjoyed them too. Should I play this?
no
How's the story compared to persona 3,4? Is it REAL bad?
The general consensus is 2 has a better story than the new games but way worse gameplay, so don't feel bad emulating.
2's story is good
1's story is kinda barebones but I still like it
i'd say they're both good, there's a lot of familiar elements but it's told in a style much closer to smt which trims a lot of fat
if you like rpgs
You can't. They no longer exist.
it's still real to me
I miss when Persona had good waifus
the poor man's lisa silverman
the st.hermelin outfit is so cool, particularly as most of the others use black a lot
My boy Eikichi is so lucky.
PSX Persona translation never ever

I like bottom left
so are the psp versions the best ones for all 3 of them?

If the butterfly still shows up in the P3 remake then they're still acknowledged somewhat.
I been playing P1 psp with music restoration and HD pack. It's nice not to have to manage all the social shit.
