I'm smirking and how ready I am to play this game when it releases and feel sorry for you if reading what happens at the ending spoils the journey. Much like both 1 and 2, knowing one small bit at the end will not ruin the rest of the story. If you went into 1 knowing that Shulk recreates the universe or in 2 knowing that Rex defeats Malos, that wouldn't invalidate the rest of the events that happen which lead to those conclusions.

This. I'm kind of glad I saw the spoiler about XB2's cast because the reactions have been fun to see and I'm pretty happy that Takahashi went for something that you never see in video games. I can take my time with the journey to it now because I'm not rushing towards the end. It does kind of suck that the game ends with both sides being separated, but everything points towards them being reunited someday or pretty immediately in the case of Noah and Mio. The world they lived in was an utter hell that wasn't worth saving.
