You know how SF6 launched with that stupid monthly fighting pass shit?
Tekken 8 didn't have it at launch and made no mention of that ever being a thing in their game, then the latest patch to the game suddenly put that in and the rewards for said pass are genuinely insulting or straight up ported clothes from T7 with no changes. Combine that with people not being too happy about how the game plays anyways, netcode being trash and balance being non-exsistent (I think the patch made it worse too) and you get a lot of pissed off Tekken players that are stuck with a game they can't even refund anymore because Namco waited for the pre-orders and good reviews to come in before they started fricking the game hard in one go.

went way overboard with pandering to troons. GG always had some gay shit in it, like all fighting games, but they went all-in to pander to the troon audience. It had a lot of gameplay issues and other challenges, but I hate troons more than I hate Black folk

i don't even care about whatever people might reply to you saying, but i hated strive just because they butchered the movelists of most characters and with that most of the complexity goes to the trash, and on top of that it's a high damage game

>Guilty Gear is a fun, somewhat complex but not nearly as hard as most propped it up to be, anime fighter that was extremely niche. This was the game at one point that everyone pretended to play on the side (also there was a small group that actually played) to show off their Fightan cred. >Then Strive completely changed how the game plays, outside of some mechanics the game is basically GG in name only. >Changes made the game piss easy to play >Changes were made to make it much more appealing to casual audiences >Actually worked out this time and Strive went on to sell 10x more than any previous GG game >Some GG vets and a lot of GG posers were salty from getting jilted at this point, then the Bridget shitstorm happened and that basically killed the series for this board
Basically a case of a game selling it's soul for popularity. I think that the game is just okay, personally, but it's not a hard choice for me to prefer XX over it.

What did they do to my boy Pot this time?
Ive played the guy from reload to xrd to strive, and I was quite happy with his state aside from the reliance on Garuda impact. I havent played since Goldlewis released.
They broke his knees again? I saw he received some weird jet jump move that covers the entire upper half of the screen that can wallsplat on counter hit, so what did he give up now for such a tool.

Powercreep has slowly made him worse. And this is after his launch starting point was being barely out of low-tier status as punishment for stomping scrubs during the beta. Garuda Impact is still good, but that and PB are his only good tools, otherwise you're fighting against the usual weaknesses that have been dogging him for 2 games now.
At least he didn't get sent to the shadow realm in one patch like Zato, holy frick they ruined him with the S3 patch.

Grapplers are not allowed to be good as per the universal fightan rules. Scrubs can't deal with em and alot of people hate fighting them. I'm used to my grappler being trash tier unless Im playing Clark/Goro in KoF.
While Strive Pot is an improvement over Xrd Pot who's only saving grace was 6k loops, for which Im glad theyre gone because they werent fun to land and a b***h to do, the nerfing of Instant Block just made Pot feel worse to play. It was too risky to do, and the payoff was so shit that you could hardly cash out on it. Being patient to fish for a proper opening suddenly no longer felt like a viable strategy, especially with the absurdly high damage once you finally get opened up.
Also don't get why to keep molesting Zato's corpse. He ain't as busted as he was in the XX days and he's the only character that takes some semblance of skill to play, atleast give some reward for the work.
Guilty Gear got popular because Arcsys aren't moronic, untalented shitters like SNK, and knows how to make good decisions. It makes SNK look even more pathetic that a company and game series that was even more niche than SNK/KOF managed to outdo them so hard.
Why so salty, bro? Garou 2 looks good so far. How is having more options for an old school fighting game a bad thing? I am getting tired of the super dumbed down games like DNF
>why so salty, bros?
I'm just not a fan of SNK ball-suckers pretending their irrelevant, forever mediocre company has any relevance, nor will ever be good. Well good again that is. They have made good quality stuff, but that was like 20+ years ago.
>Another session of me and the 100 SNK boys playing some good fightan
I asked for Guilty Gear to get popular, not making that mistake again.
That being said, good chance that CotW ends up being much more popular than KOFXV since it isn't disgusting to look at, the 3 major fightan fan bases are pissed and Garou isn't a hard game to get into.
>That being said, good chance that CotW ends up being much more popular than KOFXV since it isn't disgusting to look at, the 3 major fightan fan bases are pissed and Garou isn't a hard game to get into.
it definitely isn't as bad to look at than KOFXV, but i still find the art style to be kind of strange to look at, specifically the playable characters because the rest looks great
Why so salty, bro? Garou 2 looks good so far. How is having more options for an old school fighting game a bad thing? I am getting tired of the super dumbed down games like DNF
It is so bad I actually forgave Street Fighter 6 for all its faults and went back to playing it. Didnt realize how good it was until I saw how bad Tekken 8 was.
So what is the reason people are disliking it. Genuine reason not salty review bombs about MTX or something.
For me as a legacy tekken player T7 killed the franchise for me, that whole rage system with cinematic supers ruins what makes tekken tekken and in T8 they basically just double downed with it, which for me, I am never gonna buy it, where I did buy 7.
I played the beta/demo for all but 2 matches and quit because of that shit.
they have made tekken play like a TTT game, let alone tekken now is a juggle fest, flow chart like same hit into max damage combo 80-90% of the time.
c**ts killed soul calibur too, adding cinematic super crap and in 26 injustice clash that repositions you.
Thing is tekken and soul calibur always had their own versions of supers with unblockables.
Cinematic supers need to die from fighting games.
SF1 3, or SF3 had supers perfect and there was never a need to go more overboard than that.
If anything just make it so if you do a super and it kills them it goes into some extra cutscene, not a cutscene mid match its cancer.
what ruined it for me was the gameplay. In a world full of rushdown games that are all reflex and no mindgame, I really liked the strong defensive options Tekken 7 had. That was literally the main selling point for me. I was tired of 2D anime fighters and wanted something a bit more methodical.
Enter Tekken 8. Reduced Defense and Offense out the ass. Literally the main selling point of Tekken for me is completely gone. Every character is just a rushdown 50/50 coinflipper now. I hate it and I will gladly just keep playing Tekken 7
I knew this pretend Tekken outrage was Capgays trying to push the negativity and shitting on to other games. They're snakes like that. They can NOT take when their GOD daddy series isn't getting sucked off like it already does 95% of the time in the FGC. This Tekken 8 situation was the perfect storm for them.
This is for me bro. Imagine being a legacy player, playing tekken for 30 years then with T7 they just add this rage shit that completely changes the flow of how tekken plays and on top of that adds cinematic super shit that can happen twice a round at any time.
It ruins the entire feel, flow and aggressive tip tap gameplay tekken is known for.
>I was tired of 2D anime fighters
Irony that I generally dont play anime fighters. I dcant stant GG visual noise like do a counter or 2 hits and the entire screen is full up with visual noise.
Still I got GBVS free on PS+ years ago, gave it a try sometime last year iirc and fell in love not with just the game but the IP.
So much I bought GB rising and GB relink day one, relink is my GotY so far and rising is my fav fighting game atm and my go to fighting game, even taking over SF as my most played fighting game.
SFV had been my go to game for quite a few years before that.
I hated SFV at launch though, as you probably did.
Wasn't until season 2 and I found my main, alex that I got into the game.
Still waiting for a main in SF6, atm I am having to main blanka.
With Gb tbh I dont put much effort into it but I find it fun, the simple controls and cash outs you can do is great.
My only gripe with it is it is 2 rounds per match by default, should be 3. I always have the same issue with tekken. Local I play GB ft3 rounds, tekken I play ft5 rounds.
I didnt mind the rage arts too much, but it was an obvious comeback mechanic and hating them is 100% justified.
I did love baiting morons in low ranks by running up to instigate their rage art and then blocking it though. At the higher ranks it was literally just a whiff punish or a combo extender
Its the change of flow of the game and cinematic supers I hate.
If for example at 10% health you have a quick unblockable armoured move as a comeback mechanic I would be fine with that, but the whole armoured super with a cutscene ruins the flow of the game. Its horrible.
I am talking about the super shit.
Rage arts.
rage is just a 5% extra damage comeback iirc, there was never and issue with that.
Even the rage drive thing was ok where you get a unique move by cashing out the rage it didnt ruin the flow of the fight.

you have no legitimate arguments, you are jumping on a bandwagon lmao
even your assertion that paul's new design is some woke thing. really? in a game with actually attractive women and jiggle physics, you really think paul's design was some way to stick it to the chuds or something? your brain is fricking poisoned lol
I don't mind the redesigns and character labbing locked behind DLC isn't new (but still shitty) but aside from that he's right about everything
What dont you agree with?
complaining about optional cosmetics that do not effect the game will NEVER make sense to me. lets say hypothetically a game is a 10/10, they could have a hat thats 200$ and i wouldnt dock points from the game for that. I would just not buy the hat lol
the only other issues that post mentioned aside from optional cosmetics is that the game is... too aggressive? this sentiment only seems to be making the rounds because arslan tweeted some shit that caught on, in reality he's been getting exposed and btfo. 7 was FAR too defensive and heat is 10000x more interesting than the constant df+1 or generic d4 that was T7. I see almost no issues with heat other than maybe engagers are bit too plus on block. other than that, why is heat even bad?

riot literally has the best f2p system in League of legends (moba bad I know), weekly character rotation and easily purchasable with in game currency, even letting you get premium skins with lootboxes
it would be really strange if 2xko doesn't adopt this, the f2p gbvsr model is actually pretty nice with a character rotation, you can get all your basic labbing done for characters in that week.
LoL and valorant skin prices suck but nothing gameplay wise is locked to the f2p
This is what I meant, they are the ones that made F2P a viable model.
The way i guess they make money is from whales, dedicated players who want cosmetics etc and people who just want everything now.
imo the best F2P model is like you said all characters etc can be earned in game, cosmetics that make no actual different in game can be earned (slowly) with premium currency or bought with cash.
I will be happy is 2KXO follows that model as I am not a tard, I never pay a penny for shit like that but if I do find the game to be great I and dedicated to it I probably will buy cosmetic crap for my main/s, even just to support the game.
wtf are you talking about
i absolutely hate moba but dota 2 has a far better system, for one, the characters are already unlocked and the price of the skins are dictated by the steam market so it's already miles better than league
>LoL and valorant skin prices suck but nothing gameplay wise is locked to the f2p
League has characters locked behind paywalls, how is that not gameplay related? Before you sperg out about unlocking everything with in-game currency, the amount you would have to play to do that is hundreds of thousands of hours. Dota & CS are just free.
So what is the reason people are disliking it. Genuine reason not salty review bombs about MTX or something.

Why would anyone buy a modern fighting game? Casuals like me want all the characters to use. Hardcores only use a few characters, right? Which are locked behind DLC
I think sometimes if a player runs a queue for too long it will expand their own search range and non-consensually pair them up with a lower rank just so that they can get a game in - that's been my experience anyways as a Tekken God matching up with Rule ranks
at least it's not nearly as bad as paradox games
i simply don't have any other fighting games that are actually played that i have the desire to play, so might as well enjoy the ride while i'm here
Black folk shut up about your monetization, you don't have to get any of the crap that's there.
I want Mardok in, and I need noobs to grab, don't even try cashing me out on that.
You could fix all the bugs, exploits, and shitty matchmaking but the core of the game is rotten. They would sooner kill the entire series off and blame the players than fix the game
If you make the claim that the game has changed then you elaborate on that. I'm saying it's the same, if you were to just remove heat which is a meter mechanic you would just have another season of tekken 7, which means the game becomes another season of tekken 7 every single match.
neutral is not "skipped", that run-up part of heat requires an initial hit which means a proper read/spacing. everyone seems to forget this
if you are talking about a raw heat entrance, those will almost always be blocked and if you continue pressing after you will likely get launched
people say heat skips neutral but in all the ways its used, it does not skip any neutral so i have no fricking idea what the frick anyone means when they say that.
now, if you mean you are already in heat and you do a disengage, yes that is a 50/50, and tekken which typically has very very few of those, and considering how overly defensive 7 was, its completely fine. also consider the fact that doing that dash up basically spends the majority of your heat for that round. you are not some unstoppable 50/50 machine, you get maybe 1 of those benefiting you per round, and thats IF your 50/50 paid off.
but man, the "neutral skipping" part of your argument is just baffling, makes me wonder if you actually play the game.

>if you are talking about a raw heat entrance, those will almost always be blocked and if you continue pressing after you will likely get launched
heat activation is plus on block you dumb frick
These forced 50/50s and rushdown you're talking about is mostly about heat, which is a meter mechanic. Every single game you get to explode, once you exploded however, it's gone for the round, and it's back to normal tekken. It is annoying but that's fine, heat stuff can easily be normalized, that's 5% of the game that overshadows a lot because how strong it is.
The conversation was about the core of the game, the core of the game is the same. Backdash is nerfed yes, but sidestep is buffed, in Tekken 6 for example they massively nerfed ss from 5, but backdash was still good, so it's not the first time they adjust the movement strength, and the balance between backdash and sidestep, that's par for the course. Neutral skipping is a 2d term that has no place in tekken, characters been flying and flipping all over the stage for years, that's fine, in tekken neutral can happen in range 0. Tekken neutral is different from 2d neutral.
>These forced 50/50s and rushdown you're talking about is mostly about heat

Anon claims that T8 is fundamentally unchanged from previous Tekkens
I say there is a lot more focus on aggressive interactions in the game (as was outright stated by Harada) such as rushdown and forcing 50/50s
One anon says that mashing after heat activation is risky (numerically wrong), another says that there is an entirely new system dedicated to pushing this aggression, which didn't exist in prior Tekkens and is so strong it overshadows core fundamentals (effectively agreeing with what I said). What exactly am I missing?

I said the core is the same yes. And the core in fact the same, the fact that they changed the speed of decision making, aka made it more proactive doesn't change that. If that were true then the core of the game changed from t6 to tag2 then to t7.
Meaning the core of the game changes every game. Tk8 is not a bigger change from t7 then t7 was from tag2, anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what he's talking about.

>I said the core is the same yes. And the core in fact the same
It's not. Plus frames and neutral control are more ubiquitous and heat regularly dominates rounds. There is a reason why so many players are complaining about it
>Meaning the core of the game changes every game. Tk8 is not a bigger change from t7 then t7 was from tag2
Yes, which is why your previous post was dead fricking wrong which was my original point >In every way, it's the same Tekken with new stuff slapped onto it.
Some change is good, some is bad. I think T8 in many ways changed for the worse from T7 which itself was one-step-forward-one-step-back from TT2 and T6

>It's not. Plus frames and neutral control are more ubiquitous and heat regularly dominates rounds.
More plus frames doesn't mean the core of your game has changed.
>Yes, which is why your previous post was dead fricking wrong which was my original point
Are you dumb or something? The core of the game is its very foundation, it being different means we're playing a completely different game. The core of SoulCalibur 6 is different from the core of Tk8, not the core of Tk8 and Tk7 and Tk6
Tekken is still Tekken.

the people who hated T7 for being too defensive were literally zoomers who watch EVO. The Devs admitted the changes were made to make the game easier to WATCH
there is a solution, make a mode for casuals instead of changing the entire game. Boom solved the issue.
T7's problem was combo damage never getting nerfed, only buffed, meaning combos were heavily favoured over neutral so people playing 3D characters would opt for safe playstyles or risk eating a magic 4 for half life. The 'solution' for this would be to heavily reduce combo damage and wall carry to emphasise poking and risk-taking again
it depends, because you are playing against someone else, so if you can frick someone with aggression, they can do it too (and obviously that isn't as fun)
also, you should be able to have the tools to react accordingly, and games that are too aggressive can have you and the other player very close to each other which sucks when you want to react to what he's doing
What happened?
They're releasing Season pass part 2.
Damn, and here I thought Them's Fighting Herds had it rough.
>Brown man saving fighting games for the white man
Apologize.
No-one gives a shit about SNK, and Fatal Fury will die in a month, just like KOF, and all other SNK shit. It won't even get to GG Strive's level.
>SNK gatekeeps the casual audicence that ruined SF, GG and Tekken
That sounds good to me anon.
>SNK won't capture the POZZED audience
Oh no!
>Another session of me and the 100 SNK boys playing some good fightan
I asked for Guilty Gear to get popular, not making that mistake again.
>I asked for Guilty Gear to get popular
what a fricking Monkeys Paw that was
>Allow me to transfix you!
I literally stopped playing the day Testament was announced. Sucks too because I really enjoyed that game for all its faults but I am so fricking tired of trannies that I'm willing to never play a fighting game again at this point. Its the type of tired sleep wont fix
qrd?
went way overboard with pandering to troons.
>Changes made the game piss easy to play
>Changes were made to make it much more appealing to casual audiences
>Actually worked out this time and Strive went on to sell 10x more than any previous GG game
>Some GG vets and a lot of GG posers were salty from getting jilted at this point, then the Bridget shitstorm happened and that basically killed the series for this board
Basically a case of a game selling it's soul for popularity. I think that the game is just okay, personally, but it's not a hard choice for me to prefer XX over it.
i will never stop being mad
At least your boy was still mostly intact for Xrd.
Mine got raped then, recovered a bit in Strive then got raped again.
HEAVENLY
F
Guilty Gear got popular because Arcsys aren't moronic, untalented shitters like SNK, and knows how to make good decisions. It makes SNK look even more pathetic that a company and game series that was even more niche than SNK/KOF managed to outdo them so hard.
>why so salty, bros?
I'm just not a fan of SNK ball-suckers pretending their irrelevant, forever mediocre company has any relevance, nor will ever be good. Well good again that is. They have made good quality stuff, but that was like 20+ years ago.
Good.
I am getting tired of the super dumbed down games like DNF
>all the butthurt hispanics in your replies
Lel, you won anon, we need hiro to ban Latin Americans from browsing here
Samegay
It is so bad I actually forgave Street Fighter 6 for all its faults and went back to playing it. Didnt realize how good it was until I saw how bad Tekken 8 was.
what ruined it for me was the gameplay.
Troon Fighter 6 is still way worse anon.
lmao dude sf6 is infinitely worse. its all just green slime heavy attack at each other. even tekken 8's heat stuff doesnt come close to that shit
Are you me? Even had over 1500h in SFV.
Rage was added in T6
rage cutscenes were added in T7
I am talking about the super shit.
Rage arts.
rage is just a 5% extra damage comeback iirc, there was never and issue with that.
Even the rage drive thing was ok where you get a unique move by cashing out the rage it didnt ruin the flow of the fight.
>Even the rage drive thing was ok where you get a unique move by cashing out the rage it didnt ruin the flow of the fight.
this guy never played against Steve lel
Rage arts were useless.
The sf6 battlepass is ass like any battlepass but the tekken one is truly one of the worst ones yet, besides the ball there's one jacket that was already in t7, they are reusing fricking t7 assets and charging for it
Remember when Tag Team Tournament 2 added a bunch of characters post-release completely free?
I'm pretty sure those characters were pre order bonuses that were locked off for the first month
Remember when Harada said Tekken 7 wouldn't charge for old characters? The guy is a liar. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... well apparently that's Ganker
>worst Tekken to date angering Tekken oldheads (nerfed defensive options to make it more engaging for Zoomers to WATCH, Game is now a rushdown 50/50 simulator)

pass is so shit it has an unrendered blender ball as an option
>Game has an awful plugging and quitting problem
>exploits like taking screenshots to slow down gameplay remain
>Bandai Namco now attacking modders via youtube stikes and moving to have their websites taken down
Basically, it is the gayest tekken ever that is also the worst value for the player while also being the worst online experience of any fighting game currently out.
This is worse than MK1, this game will forever be the center of 10 hour zoomer video essays about the downfall of Tekken from this point on
There is a ton more I missed to, the game is absolute dogshit
lol oldheads can eat shit the game was far too defensive for far too long. even with heat at its worst, it makes up maybe about a third of each round
>rest of your complaints are that the optional hats and coats that have no effect on gameplay arent free
just
dont
buy
them
holy
shit
lol
i swear, you types could have a literal 10/10 game in front of your faces, but because the dev includes a 200 dollar hat that you dont have to buy, you hate the game. such bizarre logic
oh hey its the tekken zoomer wienersucking task force, your efforts wont work here son. may as well get back to shilling on /vg/ as this is the only reply you will get.
you have no legitimate arguments, you are jumping on a bandwagon lmao
even your assertion that paul's new design is some woke thing. really? in a game with actually attractive women and jiggle physics, you really think paul's design was some way to stick it to the chuds or something? your brain is fricking poisoned lol
>This is worse than MK1
Stopped reading there.
this post is living proof that people who are "upset" with tekken 8 right now dont actually know what they are mad at
Everything he said was true
ignore the /vg/ troons, they have no standards and shouldnt be engaged with.
you realize you can just not buy cosmetics right
complaining about optional cosmetics that do not effect the game will NEVER make sense to me. lets say hypothetically a game is a 10/10, they could have a hat thats 200$ and i wouldnt dock points from the game for that. I would just not buy the hat lol
Okay, what about all the other issues?
the only other issues that post mentioned aside from optional cosmetics is that the game is... too aggressive? this sentiment only seems to be making the rounds because arslan tweeted some shit that caught on, in reality he's been getting exposed and btfo. 7 was FAR too defensive and heat is 10000x more interesting than the constant df+1 or generic d4 that was T7. I see almost no issues with heat other than maybe engagers are bit too plus on block. other than that, why is heat even bad?
people have been saying the game was too aggressive since launch, but you are a zoomer so you cant fathom people having original thoughts
arslan was the main proponent of this with his "heat smash, grab, power crush" tweet, dont play dumb pls. People werent railing against the game's aggression this hard until the supposed best in the world gave his opinion. It was more a tacit acknowledgement of the change until arslan tweeted that. Barely anyone would disagree with this
>all sentiment is downstream from ecelebs
its hilarious that you actually think this
Cosmetics are the least of the problems there but even then it sucks going backwards in content from Tekken 6/TT2 nearly 20 years ago, only to pull out what little assets they do have to sell back to you for a premium.
I don't mind the redesigns and character labbing locked behind DLC isn't new (but still shitty) but aside from that he's right about everything
What dont you agree with?
lol yeah, the game looks pretty fun from youtube videos but I wouldn't want to play it EVER.
Jesas
They added monetization and people got REALLY upset over cosmetics
It was shit.
I mean, it's Tekken, what did they expect?
The demo was woke, no pity on those who bought.
DLC and monetization ruined the entire fighting genre
it'll get even worse in project l
idk how riot works but they are the the proteginitor of F2P
Seeing this game they are trying to win over FGC esports and seeing that its made by FGC guys with engagement of the community, I expect the shit that this anon mentioned
about not even being able to lab against character will not be a thing in project L, especially its a 2v2.
You would basically have to buy the entire roster anyway to compete and that might as well be P2P not F2P
>idk how riot works but they are the the proteginitor of F2P
wrong you moron zoomer
>wrong you moron zoomer
>too moronic to read a dictionary
>calls other morons
"proteginitor" isnt even a word you moron. just shut the frick up while youre still ahead lmao

>about not even being able to lab against character will not be a thing in project L, especially its a 2v2.
You're too optimistic
The whole genre, man. I'm just so weary of the whole thing. I don't care enough about fighting games any more to do the whole game vs. game fanboy wars. I'm going back to Fightcade.
riot literally has the best f2p system in League of legends (moba bad I know), weekly character rotation and easily purchasable with in game currency, even letting you get premium skins with lootboxes
it would be really strange if 2xko doesn't adopt this, the f2p gbvsr model is actually pretty nice with a character rotation, you can get all your basic labbing done for characters in that week.
>30% off
>still 50$
What the frick happened to gaming?
Doesn't this shit ALSO have a real money battlepass?
Why would anyone buy a modern fighting game? Casuals like me want all the characters to use. Hardcores only use a few characters, right? Which are locked behind DLC
tekken 8 is great and none of the issues with monetization are enough to make me dislike the game
Not buying any game that has day 1 dlc
Especially a fighting game
wait... people seriously get mad about optional cosmetic dlc?? why??? just dont buy the fricking hat lol, is that really so hard?
are there any good online fighting games that people play that don't rape your wallet to death over and over and over and over and over again?
guilty gear strive
also has egregious dlc yes
what fighting game that had post-launch updates wasn't egregious to you?
if they sell you characters in battle passes then you can get fricked
>get Strive for like $15 off a keysite
>use creamapi for all the DLC
>game has no additional fighting pass shit like SF or Tekken
Not the best fighting game you can play, probably want to go for something older. But Strive has been my go-to for the modern fighter option.
>use creamapi for all the DLC
does it actually work on official online servers?
Yep. Doesn't work for some of games, especially newer fighters, but I have been playing Strive for a long time with the DLC that way with no issues.
I bought it but it's definitely in a rough state with all this shit happening one after another. The overnight matchmaking change was fricking stupid.
>300 ping
What the frick are people expecting. No game is holding up at that point.
This clip was from the Philippines to America fyi
The ranked matchmaking is moronic now. I'm a Mighty Ruler, I specified 3 ranks, and I get matched with a fricking Tekken God
I think sometimes if a player runs a queue for too long it will expand their own search range and non-consensually pair them up with a lower rank just so that they can get a game in - that's been my experience anyways as a Tekken God matching up with Rule ranks
didn't they fix it yesterday?
at least it's not nearly as bad as paradox games
i simply don't have any other fighting games that are actually played that i have the desire to play, so might as well enjoy the ride while i'm here
I bought UNI 2 instead, it's a dead piece of shit
Black folk shut up about your monetization, you don't have to get any of the crap that's there.
I want Mardok in, and I need noobs to grab, don't even try cashing me out on that.
674605359
>israelite speaks up pretending to be a gamer
KEK you shills are so obvious
>zoomer with no standards wonder why people have standards
no one explain it to xim lmao
Tekken 8 is not beyond redemption, looks great, sounds great and has a solid roster. The problem is how slow are Bamco and Harada to fix shit.
You could fix all the bugs, exploits, and shitty matchmaking but the core of the game is rotten. They would sooner kill the entire series off and blame the players than fix the game
The core of this Tekken is the same as the core of any other Tekken since 3 you imbecile
In what ways is that true?
dont bother dude, these people dont even play fighting games lol
Tekken store is cool
Battle pass is cool
Haters can hate.

>here comes the Ganker homosexual looking to have a semantic argument
lol Im too high iq for this shit bait
You're certainly not high IQ by any means. And it wasn't a semantic argument you braindead moron.
In every way, it's the same Tekken with new stuff slapped onto it.
>In every way
elaborate
If you make the claim that the game has changed then you elaborate on that. I'm saying it's the same, if you were to just remove heat which is a meter mechanic you would just have another season of tekken 7, which means the game becomes another season of tekken 7 every single match.
defensive/movement-based gameplay has been heavily de-emphasised in favour of neutral skipping, rushdown, forced 50/50s
see
and
neutral is not "skipped", that run-up part of heat requires an initial hit which means a proper read/spacing. everyone seems to forget this
if you are talking about a raw heat entrance, those will almost always be blocked and if you continue pressing after you will likely get launched
people say heat skips neutral but in all the ways its used, it does not skip any neutral so i have no fricking idea what the frick anyone means when they say that.
now, if you mean you are already in heat and you do a disengage, yes that is a 50/50, and tekken which typically has very very few of those, and considering how overly defensive 7 was, its completely fine. also consider the fact that doing that dash up basically spends the majority of your heat for that round. you are not some unstoppable 50/50 machine, you get maybe 1 of those benefiting you per round, and thats IF your 50/50 paid off.
but man, the "neutral skipping" part of your argument is just baffling, makes me wonder if you actually play the game.
>if you are talking about a raw heat entrance, those will almost always be blocked and if you continue pressing after you will likely get launched
heat activation is plus on block you dumb frick
>These forced 50/50s and rushdown you're talking about is mostly about heat
Yes, heat 50/50s and rushdown are in the game (see
)
Do you have a brain damage?
Yes, which is why your previous post was dead fricking wrong which was my original point
>In every way, it's the same Tekken with new stuff slapped onto it.
Tekken is still Tekken.
>its a good game because the controls are all the same
>just ignore the new mechanics, design philosophy and balance
>it doesn't matter what the player actually does in a match because as long as it says Tekken on the cover its a good game
No
>controls
Alright bro.
You can like whatever you want btw, for me it's tag2>t8>t7, and tag2 gamespeed is more similar to tk8's than tk7's
I told you the moron was trying to have a semantic argument,
you cant argue with zoomers who have no real thoughts of their own. I can almost guarantee he is perusing reddit thread to look for more ammo.
Modern zoomers arent mentally switched on. Zhe doesnt even have an internal monologue or know how to work a file system.
Zhe is not here to have a real conversation or debate, they are only here to mindlessly shill for a toy they like. its 4 year old behaviour
>Imagine trusting Harada after the shit show that was T7
I feel no empathy for Tekkengays.
Just tweak the heat shit and fix the online and people will forget about the battle pass in a month like with SF6
Once they showed the HEAT mechanic I knew it was over.
literally what is wrong with heat? i feel like drive in sf6 is so much worse, this whole thing is making me feel crazy
You can only complain if you reached TGO in tekken 7
>some people hate on T8 being too aggressive because of T7
>some people hated T7 because of KBD and the game becoming a backdash simulator in infinite stages
there's no solution
the people who hated T7 for being too defensive were literally zoomers who watch EVO.
Non-fighting game player here.
Isn't an aggressive game a lot both more fun to play AND watch than a defensive one?
it depends, because you are playing against someone else, so if you can frick someone with aggression, they can do it too (and obviously that isn't as fun)
also, you should be able to have the tools to react accordingly, and games that are too aggressive can have you and the other player very close to each other which sucks when you want to react to what he's doing
Not after a few weeks. Matches degenerate into samey flowchart shit. DNF is the best example of this
There comes a point where 'aggressive' stops being dynamic and starts being a brainless coin toss.
Fun fact - you couldn't do this in tk6, ss was too small, couldn't ss this string
whomst'ever an additional 15% off
I guess the decision isn't in his hands anymore... even though he's in a higher position now?
Harada also said tekken 8 wasn’t gonna be about super moves and special bar mechanics.
I remember when people were defending the battlepass.
