probably a shit game? idk havent played it
I want more puppets
I’d rather play Elite Dangerous
A fantastic step into popularizing the mommy dom fetish. In accordance with that, the amount of childless 30-40 year old women is increasing tenfold, allowing for more opportunities for us young boytoys. Thank you nips and thank you israelites!
After the dust settled, it's a 7/10. It's alright but has its faults. Completely different than you usual RE game and that's a good thing, but also a bad thing. There's a lot of left over, and cut content that shows more during a second play through. It feels rushed, tossed together, but at the same time like they were trying to make a good game and fell short in some areas. It did have marketing, it did have TV ads, and the popularity of Alcina was supposed to give the game more sales, but ended up just barely breaking 10 million a year after it's release date. I guess something we should learn from this, if a company like Capcom hands their marketing over to the VA's, it's probably not a good sign.
They didn't hand over the marketing to the VAs.
They had to do with part of it for sure.
It's okay
not worth full price
I paid full price pre-release download with
RE:VERSE. I don't regret it that much but I think I should have waited until it went on sale for the first time, or the other times that it did. Being a RE for years, I expected it to be a lot better than it turned out to be, but I was kind of wrong.
And the VA's had to make everything about their own personal politics and antics, made it annoying to be a fan of RE at the time. I don't care about that shit, let's be about RE or shut the frick up.
should have been fixed camera tank controls
I liked the FPS direction, simply because RE was supposed to be an FPS anyway. Just at the time they released the first the tech was too limiting from what the RE team said about it.
And the fixed camera games ended up being the best who would have thought.
That's all opinion, but I do enjoy the older games I grew up with. I liked 7 taking it into a different direction.
it gave me lot's of great porn to jerk it to
I'll probably pick it up on sale or something whenever the third person mode gets put in the game. I'm honestly in no rush, RE7 was so shit it turned me off of the series for the foreseeable future.
Yeah, pick it up on sale. The Shadows of Rose DLC literally looks like Disney bullshit instead of RE.
it's alright
It could have been obviously better, but it's the first game that I've ever played that had literal filler in it. Donna and Moreau's you just blew threw to get to Heisengoobers and the fight with Miranda. No time was really taken in those parts and I think they deserved to be a lot better and more fleshed out. The boss fights were a quick kill and go, despite not having a boss fight with Donna, but a fricked up game of hide and seek with a developmentally fricked and psychotic woman that had the mind of a child, that you basically beat the shit out of and stabbed in the head with some scissors. I didn't get it until I thought about it, and "Angie" being Donna.
Donna's section is just a really bad P.T. imitation. I mean I guess it isn't "bad", but it's not very effective either. There's a few cool bits and pieces like the lifesize doll of Mia. What's funny is that the "side quests" around Donna's house e.g. the mini boss fight with the giant to get the treasure under Claudia's grave, the encounter with the zombies as you're about to go back to the main hub are 10x more fun than the main sections with Donna. Which is sad because she probably had the most potential for an interesting character out of the four lords.
More interesting in concept than in practice.
I don't really care for Lady D but it would have been cool to have more than just 3 daughters and maybe spread them out across the game or just stuff more of them into the castle. There would need to be an alternative method of killing them so you don't need to do it in a scripted way, but they were really cool enemies that represented the gothic horror vibe the game was going for better than anybody else except for maybe the werewolf mini bosses that walked on four legs (varcolac was their name I think?)
Alcina was gothic/euro horror. Inspired by Elizabeth Bathory and Dracula. It's just that she's not your run of the mill vampire, she does drink blood and eat flesh, but it's because of a hereditary blood issue. Which I would have liked to hear more about with these Cadou'd BOW's and how their previous problems and issues carried on into them after they've accepted it. Like her drinking, and obvious depression over the fact that she felt/knew that Miranda really didn't get a frick about her or the rest of them as said in her diary pages you find. They still had human aspects to them, and weren't really 100% monsters. The daughters, on other hand, that was just company and protection for Alcina, I don't think they went any further than that.
>I mean I guess it isn't "bad", but it's not very effective either.
I disagree 100%. That section spooked me really fricking good and it has stopped me from replaying the game. My heart can't take it again.
I didn't think it reminded me of PT at all, it was more of a Silent Hill-esque thing with a reference to The Ring.
Judging by some concepts Alcina seemed more to be "Hachishaku-sama" like, more of a creepy spooky presence instead of the more classy pompous "mommy" we ended up with.
Lady D would give amazing rimjobs with that big tongue of hers.
Decent game, not worth the price though
RE7 and RE2R are leagues better but Village is still okay. I am replaying it for the first time since release currently. The opening is fricking abysmal, just one straight hour of cutscenes basically. People like to talk shit about RE7's intro but I actually really enjoyed it with the Mia boss fight and the first chase with Jack, but Village's intro is genuinely bad.
The disparity in the quality between 7 and 8 is kind of highlighted when Village tries to create its own version of the Baker family at the dinner table scene from 7 with the Four Lords arguing over who gets to play with Ethan. But it fails miserably and it just comes off as cringey since the characters are so bad (especially Heisenberg). There's no immersion since this mix of Romanians/Germans/Italians in attendance all speak with an American accent, same with the villagers.
But it gets significantly better once you reach the castle, not quite RE2R police station level quality but it's on the same spectrum. Drops again when you go to Donna's house, rises up a bit again with the awesome Moreau boss fight, stays kind of stagnant for the factory, rest of the game is meh except for the story stuff with Ethan which is awesome.
What frustrates me most about Village is its wasted potential. It's the second fricking time this series has wasted a really cool creepy village setting on an action shooter.
7/10 good game but whenever I play it all I can think is "I could be playing RE7 or RE2R right now..."
It's good bordering on great.
Just needed a bit more time in the oven to expand on the locations and characters/story.
We should have got more with Miranda. She was an interesting character that deserved my story and screen time. The same with the rest of the lords, and still not enough about Alcina because she was a super advanced BOW that we should have learned more about.
I'm okay with the factory and the dollhouse. Dollhouse is short but I think it would've been worse if it was longer.
Castle could've doubled in length and had more backtracking/enemies. Would've been nice to return there later in the game and if it was made to be almost like a hub location. Swamp is just a glorified boss arena which sucks because the sunken hamlet and windmills are pretty cool.
Titular village also doesn't have much going on past the intro. Would've liked more stuff to do there besides a few collectables.
Leaks pre-release said the swamp was supposed to be a big open area with multiple pathways the player could follow and weave between as they headed towards a destination at the end. Kind of like how some of the Barry/Natalia sections in Revelations 2 worked. There were going to be mermaid enemies who if you made too much noise fighting would alert Moreau who was patrolling around the swamp as a stalker enemy like Mr X. Could have been cool
Decent and better as a game than 7 but still disappointing. Easily the most moronic story in the series since 6.
>Easily the most moronic story
Welcome to Resident Evil.
Yeah but 8's is extra moronic. There was literally no reason for any of it to happen. Chris shouldn't have moved Ethan's family to within driving distance of an evil werewolf village run by an immortal mold woman that they literally knew about, and there was no reason he couldn't have taken 5 seconds to say "that wasn't your wife we just shot, it's a shapeshifting mold woman and I'll explain the rest later when you're safe."
I love how Miranda was apparently there for a couple of days playing housewife. Then there's no mention of anyone seeing anything, including Ethan when she showed her true form or ran off as Mia after the accident she just so happened to cause right in front of the entrance to the village.
And apparently, Miranda/Mia after living there for 114 years still didn't figure out how to say "Vegetable soup" in Romanian. Actually, all of the VAs were kind of idiots. With Maggie Robertson constantly mispronouncing "Dimitrescu", maybe for dramatic effect, cool, but it still was kind of dumb.
she was there for 4-5 days if i recall. I wonder why she needed more than one.
And Mia's just chillin' in her cell after her "Kidnapping".
Did someone feed her?
I have no idea.
The logic is moronic but it gave us more Silent Hill 1 style "father who will do anything for his daughter" kino so I'm okay with most of the bullshit surrounding it. Just wish Ethan retained a bit of his autistic stoicism from RE7 instead of turning into an exaggerated anime character but whatever
>exaggerated anime character
That was more Miranda in her boss fight, she had the really wordy and long winded theatrical explanation of her ideals and plans.
Never played it, probably never will until it's $5 or less.
>J-just pirate it!
Waste of my bandwidth and time.
Meh, if you want to play it, play it. It's on sale now(again) so it's probably cheap.
The first 2 monsters were cool and somewhat scary, then it got the the fish freak and got kinda boring and generic, then next was the boring ass normal human which is where i turned the game off and havnt played since
It is pretty good but is tonally strange compared to the rest of RE and kind of ruins/diminishes some previous lore.
>Umbrella logo was supposed to be modeled around the Spencer family emblem in RE1 remake but instead is now based on some random cave mural
>Spencer literally sees a biological weapon make someone an unaging superhuman which is exactly what he wants, but passes it up because it's too unpredictable/dangerously mutative even though T-virus and everything else in the series also carried the same risks
>Story would have fit far better into established RE if Miranda was just an unknown 4th Umbrella founder in an undiscovered Umbrella facility beneath the village who had been researching a fungus-based weapon since 1998, and was able to make it perfect since she had all that time to do so
They just wanted to tie Miranda in with everything. That's all it was.
Pretty much.
The point about spencer comes to mind especially if you go back to re5, where he was literally desperate to prolong his life just enough, so that alex could find the way to achieve immortality.
He wouldnt have passed on the mold in that situation if he had known it was a thing, because he literally had no other alternative.
It's a pretty cool game, nothing outstanding, but fun nonetheless.
7-8, 8.5 on a good day
Shit game.
I enjoyed it 8.5/10
They tried way too hard to make it RE4 and the game suffers as a result because they tried to pull it in too many directions at once and it's just not as good or cohesive. They should've cut out the dollhouse and fish areas then expanded the village and castle, rather than just swoocing you around between 4 villains that end up underdeveloped and underutilized.
complete and total waste of potential. Bland and forgettable. Shit writing. Shit puzzles. (Mostly) Shit characters.
Yeah, the puzzles kind of sucked.
A really mediocre and underwhelming sequel to soft reboot of a dead franchise.
In other words, two steps back from RE7. It's pretty much what RE5 was to RE4, clearly a sequel, but worse in every way.
I don't know why they even had to kill Ethan off. There was no point outside of having an "emotional" ending.
that was the point. same as the mia thing, served no real purpose except having a 'shocking' moment for trailers. they clear had a few story beats and ideas in mind but were really lazy with the connective tissue.
They blamed it on COVID, I guess that's true but who knows. I guess with having the VA's eventually carry the marketing and everything I don't think they were actually that confident with it's release.
i don't buy it, covid didn't help im sure, but the game had been in development for years before that, it can't account for real structural issues in the story. probably part of the reason done areas are so thin on content though
That's what I said before about the left over and cut content. It seems really empty and railroaded in other playthroughs.
I was bored to death after a few hours.
Funny how those big tiddy big big mommy 😀 memes didn't translate into sales.
Good game, had a lot of fun with it but it could have been much better if they did somethings different.
It really needed 1-2 more years of development.
I blame the chinks and their virus
Not gonna play it until I get a new 4000 series graphics card and that’s IF it can run 4K rtx enabled 60 fps with no ai bullshit enabled
I literally run the game in 4k with rtx at 120fps
Really? What card?
3080ti
Got a 1080ti so I’m gonna wait one 4K series and do all that benchmark reading stuff
Ok I guess
Mediocre game and a shit Resident evil game, but I coomed and thats all that matters in the end
.
dragon ball story, the lore kinda ass but ok,gameplay ok, the whole game not even remotely close in terms of horror compared to re7.lady d performance suck fricking ass, she only wins best performance bcs of coomers
only played it twice, feel like stopping mid game on sec playthrough. the minigame was fun
the game stutters when the sisters bug shows up, and some area, out of nowhere drops 20 fps. i have 3070
fun game, shit resident evil
5/10
my captcha is r8rtjh, foreshadowing a remake.....
Maggie did great, it was just her mispronouncing "Dimitrescu" that got grating. I have this feeling it was for dramatic effect.
That's not even her fault. That's how they told her to pronounce it.
Yeah
She pronounces it 2 different ways. Dimitresc, Domitresc.
Shitty looter shooter.
Best game
evar
Miranda will always be mommy.
Not enough loving babymaking porn of Alcina
Would the baby be huge?
Alcina became huge, so the baby would be regulae-sized and then probably grow to be a giant like the mother.
I haven't played it yet, but I heard it's not as scary as 7 which would be kind of a let down if true because the horror and atmosphere was the highlights of 7.
Playing it for the first time, just found Chris in the factory.
Really fun so far. I agree that some of he areas could be bigger, the factory feels longer than the castle and swamp combined.
The doll house was genuinely creepy with that fricking baby thing. Wish there was more enemy variety. Some fish people in the swamp or something.
better than most RE games
7/10.
Needed more dank guns, but I did have a kek when he glued his hand bank on with the healing potion.
short
ez
not scary, house in the mist was okay.
lotta hype for not that much game imo
The only good part (dimitrescu castle and puppet mansion) was too short. Heisenberg's area sucks the most dick of them all
I had fun playing it but have no immediate desire to replay it
Yeah
best set of women in a game in a very long time
Shit, just like RE7
Why is so much of the porn of Dimitrescu futa shit? Is Lady D sitting on someone's face with her giant voluptuous ass WITHOUT her having a three-foot dong too much to ask?
First person action doesn't work the way capcom wanted. You can't have a bunch of command grabbing lycans surround the player. You can't have a souls boss like miranda throwing attacks at you that you can't look at if you want to dodge them.
Everyone else had no problem.
"The Last Villager", You're welcome.
If it didn't have the Resident Evil name it would've been a decently popular meme game for a while just from Dimitrescu. But overall it's a bit meh and all over the place.
she needs to be rimmed
its shit like 7
