You're not missing much, the meta is shit and got even worse, the game is still empty and devoid of content as frick, and for the price it was offered Teal Mask is a really bad deal. The only thing people are praising is Ogerpon is a cute and how funny it was to absolutely cuck Kieran, we mindbroke him and got both his sister and his waifumon.
I have an hard time grasping the fact that Calyrex even got the green light in the first place. He's the face of the Crown Tundra DLC, his whole purpose is to sell it and maybe get some merch going as well, and yet he's just this ugly little goblin with a tumor on his head, anal bedes around his neck and awkward noodle limbs. It's like they didn't know if they wanted to make it look cute or cool so they did neither. It's night and day compared to Ogerpon, who's not atrocious to look at. Hell, I'm not a fan of Urshifu either but I can at least see the appeal with it, Calyrex just looks dumb plain and simple. I sincerely believe that no one genuinely likes it outside of comp

From what I've seen there's not that much enjoyment being had beyond the same brainless fans who'd be content with a piece of cardboard with a Pikachu drawn on it that lights up and plays sound and has the GF logo on it.
