When it comes to their prowess in personal combat, what does everyone think? Lets forget about tabletop rules for a moment, and focus more on the lore/literature.
For me it's:
Tier 1: Horus, Sanguinius, Angron
Tier 2: Russ, Lion, Fulgrim
Tier 3: Khan, Gulliman, Kurze
Tier 4: Perturabo, Vulkan, Ferrus
Tier 5: Dorn, Magnus, Mortarion
Tier 6: Alpharius, Lorgar, Corax

All the primarchs are really fricking gay and should have remained a mystery from a bygone age that has passed into myth and legend.
>a hypothetical of a fictional setting, characters and powers as well as forgetting 1 primarch all together.
you are beyond brainlet, if this isn't bot spam
>noooo don't have a discussion about fiction on /tg
>noooo you forgot omegon
Please.
This anon is correct. 0p is either bot or a filthy secondary .
You can tell the game was made for 13 y/olds when everything always boils down to my dad could beat up your dad.
Alpharius wins because he respects that "canon" doesn't mean anything and only ideas are important, no people or places.
HH series did the most to delude people into thinking anything about the extended history of mankind isn't just lies or propaganda, from one source or another.
Swap Angron with the Lion, swap Fulgrim with Kurze, swap Guilliman with Corax, swap Dorn with Perturabo.
>Fulgrim with Kurze
Why? Wasn't Fulgrim supposed to basically be the best duelist after Sanguinius and Angron? IIRC the traitors only tolerated Angron because they thought he was the only one with an actual shot of beating Sanguinius in a fight.
Wasn't Alpharius the weakest?
Yes. But that wasn't his strength anyway.
In some ways good old Ferrus was lucky to lose his head early and avoid character assassination.
Honestly one of the best Primarchs. He didn't succumb to the cult of personality like so many others, pushed his boys hard and demanded excellence, and also understood he was a weapon to be used up without any dramatic compunctions about it. IIRC he knew that the astartes and primarchs one day would be thunder warrior'd, and he was okay with it and understood it. Meanwhile the crusade was his time. "Rest? We were not made to rest; we go on, unflinching, unstoppable, unending in our strength. The Emperor did not make us for such mortal concerns as hearth and home, vanity or contemplation; we are his engines of war, his hammers, beating out the fabric of existence into a vessel fit for Mankind to inhabit."
"Make war and move on, and again, and again, until nothing breathes which stands against us. All else is sophistry and pretty lies."
I think the problem is he was on the dull kinda like Dorn.
Dorn defeated alpharius and made demon fulgrim leave the siege of terra. Why is he constantly being underrated when hes the one who did a lot of work
Russ is the best fighter among the primarchs. It makes anons mad but it's true.
Nah, hes up there but sanguinius is
Sanguinius broke a Greater Daemon's spine over his fricking knee. He is undisputedly the best physical fighter amongst the Primarchs.
Imagine being Angron, absolute beast of a berserker, and STILL get outdone at your game own game by a pretty boy with wings.
He lost to Angron, so demonstrably false.
He lost to Lion, so demonstrably false
