Not even. I think I died twice the first time I played it. You have to have never played a crpg to die like a noob. Privateers hold is perfect for gaining a few levels and getting some loot before you're sent cluelessly into the void that is daggerfall.
I think it's a combination of forcing you to quickly learn how to play and and a build viability check. The imp that you may be unable to kill is just a dick move, although it may also be an early lesson on deciding when to turn tail.
It's not really that bad apart from the imp. The level layout is simple enough to not get lost in but its long and challenging enough to feel like an accomplishment after you reach the exist and are rewarded with being able to explore outside
Privateer's Hold is just a very slightly modified version of a standard block that's used in generic dungeons. Even main quest dungeons have a lot of standard blocks mixed in with the custom stuff.
That doesn’t make them the same or even similar. I’ve never encountered a random dungeon that feels or looks like privateers hold or other main quest dungeons. Random dungeons usually are similar to themselves or completely fricking crazy. The fact that privateers hold is a custom dungeon means it’s not “like every other dungeon”. Try actually playing the game instead of just reading the uesp wiki for canon fodder.
I actually prefer the dos version for certain things, mostly graphic fidelity (Lofi). But I’m getting used to unity version for all its mods. The archaeology guild is lit. I want to to make a chef guild now.
>died to the imp again
you need silver
Start with an ebony dagger
Kill the imp then die to a fricking archer when you are at a sliver of health
I like the naked ladies
Me too
Why did they make the starting area such a noob destroyer? You're guaranteed to die like 50 fricking times here on your first playthrough.

It's a fun dungeon to come back to once you've levelled up a bit
It's the same as every other dungeon.
No, it's not. Every main quest dungeon is custom, not generated. Privateers hold is the same every time.

>very slightly modified
You’re such a disingenuous piece of human shit. It’s pretty much completely customized.
Least it was till I fell though the floor and died.
doesn't happen in the new version
All you need to kill the imp is steel or better. Steel weapons are not difficult to find.
>use the starting shock spell as your only means of damage though PH
>spell resisted
>spell resisted
>spell resisted
>2 damage
>spell resisted
are those mods? i dont remember the game looking that good anon.
probably the unity version, seems like im the only masochist who only play the dos version because daggerfall unity doesnt run on my cheap laptop

This game is so fricking bad
If it's so bad, then why is it actually so good?
Because it filters the midwit
>HMMMHHHs your path
Stupid question but whats the name of the game, it looks fun
Daggerfall unity edition
