Bamboo-hat kim is still really strong late game and can easily carry his own weight in SoTC, though just be careful of his comparatively low stagger and mass attacks, might want to bring a counter page just to be safe
Sorta like Yjin and Oscar. But I think kim actually has lowest stagger resist amongst 3 and a bit on glass cannon side. It's still easy to win clashes tho. The only problem with Kim is how he overloaded on passives.

At the end there, Thelma is mentioned as if they were a different person altogether. The phrase is also used by Yujin herself. She is not sending them out to die, they HAVE to perform their tasks, and the person he is living the life of also hasn't slept for 10 days properly. Yujin was waiting for the right opportunity to strike and break the system and fix what was broken. I have no idea how you could possibly assume otherwise.

Thelma was acting on Argalia's behalf in the first place, by sending other branches, and lower ranking parts on nonstop missions until it breaks them and they die in the process, to mitigate any potential "intention to kill" on his part. Argalia decided to fricking kill him for failing him, since he was using a method to get rid of Yujin to rise in the ranks in the process, and not just to get the job done, instead of using a more proper and direct method to get rid of the branches that would have kept his image safe too.
I doubt that even if Thelma had not been doing it in self interest, that Argalia wouldn't have murdered him for the sake of it anyway.

Dante may be built off of what was left of Garnet, but I think all the fragmentation and guilt caught up to ultimately shatter the Garnet we know and plant him back I to a cocoon, to come out as an entirely different person. He may have flashbacks of Garnet, but doesn't retain the same identity of him, if that makes sense. Considering how different the two are.

I don't really understand your sentiment. He was barely used so far unlike the people from LC and LoR. Plus, they're obviously not done, they'll show up again in the future, they're just not the focus anymore.
Dante is akin to a masked individual in a story, there's no reason to be wearing a mask unless your identity is important or someone the characters know, at least that's how I see it. I won't mind if he's someone knew either, but I'm rather convinced he is Garnet so far.
I kinda hoped the comic will be a preview for Vergil (but now it shifted to Garnet) and how at the end he fails to save the remaining orphanage kids or something tragic (plus its even revealed that he is the reason some of them orphans) so he falls into a sin and whatever-will-happen-that-makes-him-join-limbus and how limbus was even came to be.
Garnet also doent feel like particularly interesting character for me at the moment, and having him be the de-facto MC of Libmus doesn't make me feel nice (and it pretty much leave no mystery about him in the game itself, what they gonna do with him at that point).
I get it I guess, but it kinda follows a theming every single MC so far has had a loved one who went through something terrible, or straight up died. Lapis is this for Garnet, plus all of the MCs are normal looking dudes with black hair, maybe it's on purpose at this point.

The Abnos were already part of the Library like the Librarians and the former Employees who were all presumably stuck in books for a while. None of those were sent away when everyone got unbooked. And even if the Abnos got sent away, everyone got sent to the place they "belong", with most of the Abnos being birthed inside the Library, apart from some cases like the birbs, they would just reappear there and immediately get captured by Angela's ego again.
On that note, Angela still has full control over time and space inside the Library so if anyone enters she could just teleport away and drop a dozen Aleph on them, why did she never do that at the end of Ruina.

I assume powers to command abnormalities can only unlock when Library itself gets more power/light, thats why at the beginning we only get abnormalities that "can barely exist" and by the end we get White Night and shit. So at the end of the game Library is basically reset and has to get it's power back.
It also explains why she had to "wake up" Gebura and Binah at the end, everyone got booked again because Angela couldn't keep everyone up.

So I just got curious about "Why is it named Leviathan", and I googled something and got this.

It usually has a "partner" too, and they are to be ultimately defeated in pretty much all interpretations.
It could just be a mix and match of multiple takes honestly, maybe the Leviathan is Dante or something.

I just realized that if Dante is Garnet and is going to be wacky woohoo clock-man. I could get that Blue Schizo who's probably related to Roland's wife to around like 260 or so consistently but I can't push through. Those minions he has with him have such a high damage output. If I get hit once it's like a fourth of a nugget's HP bar cleaved. I've fully realized the Asiyah Layer and the EGO pages just get outrolled too? I haven't tried the reception after the Warp Train stuff so maybe they might be more manageable. I really don't want to just make every deck Singleton.
Use thumb and Liu pages. For Church of gears equip puffy broom passive on everyone. Also they are focused on dealing damage, but have a single speed die. So pile them up one by one on first stage, second pile up Argalia instead. He likes it that way. But also has MA which is hard to beat. Have you been doing general ivitations?

I've got Kim on Hod's floor with a Yujin nugget that's focused on using cards to boost slash dice. I think that's what you're talking about when you mean power stacking, cause the only passives I've gotten for offensive dice are Sayo's and Noah's I believe. I stacked Sayo onto Kim for a base +3 along with using cards to increase that further but then I just get max rolled. I just did a star of the city general reception and even with these slash power bonuses I'm getting outrolled.

Kim deck is alright. But you need to use both Liu/Thumbs if you want to start making progress. Get at least two people dressed as thumbs equipped with "focus fire". If you want give them all full stop passives and focus on deleting people outright. Also it's the same reason why thumbs outroll you. They start with +3 power on first scene. And Liu just broken bullshit.

I've been trying to keep floors to theme, so Keeping Malkuth burn focused, Netzach pierce, Hod slash/bleed, etc. I guess I'll use Malkuth with the Liu pages then and see how I'll do.

Black Silence effortlessly stopped the Pianist, meaning that the Pianist was a complete jobber (WAW level if he was an Abnormality), which would make sense since endgame nuggets can easily deal with WAWs and destroy them by themselves even.
Would something like Blue Star kill half the city?

Ironically against your post, I think Blue Star would do the worst against a Claw and especially an Arbiter given it relies on brainwashing and all sorts of mental damage to absorb things. Keeping in mind that the Abnos were weakened during LC, and how Nothing There could still tank tons of abuse and barely flinch, that might be the most dangerous ALEPH for a Claw to face
I bet it’s a different story for Arbiters though, I can’t say I know exactly how powerful they are but an Abnormality would just be a weirdo challenging them compared to the average problems they’re deployed to solve

The problem is that her own keypage and cards aren't really useful in her fight because she is immune to burn, so beating her doesn't make her fight any easier. Using Geb with her floor stacked with slash damage and going for the stagger seems like the way to do it, but it seems to work only if I can beat the first stage, and soften the second one enough with my B-team, this is the hard part. The thing that worked spectacularly well last time is that negative emotion page from Yesod that turns endured resistances to weak for everyone, but it takes successfully drawing it at the right time, then getting a series of lucky rolls.

I was always under the impression that they were the byproduct of failing to turn someone into an abnormality, as in, giving them a wrong dosage of Cogito or the procedure going wrong, and were stored in the cubes/pillars in the background of the Extraction Team, the ones you see in Binah's story
I don't remember exact explanation but it's not specifically fear, but general "impurity" of trying to get cogito and extract abnormalities and that they (ordeals) are just as everything else is just thoughts and dreams of people of past/present/future. I have troubles understanding what Binah actually means with her dialogues in LC.
White Ordeals just fit the theme of "Ayin paranoid Head gonna find them again" and the point at which you get them is about the time X fully remember who he is, and also at that point facility startss to get fricky - wacky so ordeals appearing makes sense too.

I can kinda see it, the Melee can get super duper anime billshit and ranged is good altho alot better in most situations, and has already in place rules for all sorts of cool enhancements and other shit, tho I say DH2E is much better than 1E for a City thing cause melee is way stronger the character creation would allow for a much freedom in how you make your dude.
I think with some considerable modification to combat and making a frickton of different talents it would make for a decent basis for a City game you could refrick around with how Sanity and fear works to be something the your more often taking sanity damage on on but also make it something more fixable, and you know figuring out how to implement the different singularities but those I think would probably be the easiest to do
I think the 40k RPG done by fantasy Flight would work if you took mechanics from all the books and retooled them into something that fits the city. You can have the players working like acolytes in dark heresy but having the perspective of heretics in Black crusade. Make them work hard for infamy/Rank like Black Crusade/Death Watch while also trying to make a profit like Rogue Trader.
The basic ruleset works fine, you have your characteristics and modifiers and try to roll under. You have basic skills anyone can attempt and advanced skills you need to have to try. Across the splatbooks you have enough talents to powerscale characters form Grade 9 to Grade 1 (where players start getting imperial assassin tier talents).
I agree that 2nd is probably the better rulebook to base it on, but all in all I think the Fixer TTRPG project wouldn't have died if they simply adapted Fantasy Flight's system instead of basing combat around a fricked up version of Ruina's cards and ending up using a system weirdly WoD/Exalted.
Black Crusade seems more fitting thanks to the whole "a group of players working for a same goal but trying to frick each other any moment they can to reach Daemonhood".
Plus Infamy and Corruption could be tool for Distortion/E.G.O.

No info on that either but since it's gacha there won't be a lot of dialogue from Dante since it's our stand in. Even for "story heavy" company like PM it most likely end up in some irrelevant dialogue options like gachas usually get, or for closer example - the dialogue choices we had in LC.
We might have some Dante-related missions where he will talk a bunch but mostly i expect being talked to rather than with, or not being present in coversation all together (like that teaser featured Don and other sinners just talking to each other on a mission).

Just finished my achievement run of Ruina and I gotta say. How does anybody expect to do this without knowing exactly what the hidden achievements are? Some of them are pretty simple like beat this guy with a guy that is tied to their story, but what the one where you gotta kill a guy from the thumb with Pete's page I would've never found out without looking it up. Most were pretty fun to do so I'm pretty happy with it

Nah it's definitely hidden. It was one of the last ones that I had to look up to finish the achievement log. The Furioso one wasn't very hard as it was annoying. Had to do the entire blue group reception to beat Argalia with it again and fricked it up on my first try since he doesn't actually die until the next turn after he reaches 25 HP. Really didn't look forward to the Pluto fight again

I sailed right into urban nightmare, now every fight feels like a major struggle and getting btfo left and right. How to actually gift gud?
Did you do the general receptions and get Kim's page? It's one of the best for that tier.
You can also do the left column to unlock Singleton and turn off your brain for deckbuilding.
If all else fails, you can cheese with Full Stop passives but that takes the fun out of pretty much all fights.

Manually select books on the invitation screen. The reception depends on the tier and number of books. As long as the combination of books doesn't match the story receptions, you'll get a general reception.
As for general tips? try to have sepcialized decks for each fight. Take note of what the enemies you're fighting's weaknesses are and make a slash/pierce/blunt deck to stomp them. You should have some pretty good key pages for each of those by now with ones like Sayo's, Oscar's and Meow's. Which one are you trying to beat right now?
I've been customizing decks to hit enemy weaknesses and gotten this far that way. Now I have trouble beating ANY of the post urban nightmare fights.

Kim's page is really good for that one since they use some pretty tough ranged pages that get shit on by singular strike. That fight is much easier once you manage to deal with that shit

The difference I think is, that other Bloodfiends are relatively 'smarter' about the way they went around it. You can argue about all the suffering and pressure and prejudice that Elena suffered as a Bloodfiend, but at the end of the day, none of the other bloodfiends ever went off on a crazy public killing spree like Elena. I think it's more to the fact that Elena is the only one who went kill crazy while none of the other Bloodfiends did is more a condemnation on Elena's character than Bloodfiends.
I don't know. Her justification and reasoning is frankly insane. It essentially boils down to 'I know that my actions are considered wrong, but they shouldn't be considered wrong, because I don't think it's fair.' It's like a mixture of Tanya and Greta's mindsets in a way. 'Murdering and consuming humans is wrong, but it's only wrong because humans decided it's wrong, and I am a superior being to humans, so why should humans get to decide what is right and wrong'.
She really is the most objectively evil of the Ensemble. No real excuse for her actions, no tragic backstory. Just a girl the Elders should have never converted into a Bloodfiend and she died like one
Huh, I don't think Gretta boast about her superiority. It's more like she has no passion for snobbish behaviour usually associated with cannibals and in a way considered 7th chefs crazy fricks. She does compare her ingredients to fish. But it's more metaphorical? I honestly have no clue what the frick she and Hod even talked about. Netzach and Bremen made more sense to me.

I like to complain that some of the ensemble members didnt get more top of of the line/star of the city mooks. Like Greta missing some minor chefs of "high end restaurants" to support the 8 chefs hierarchy, or Breemen not having more minor animals musicians since bunny and oink were not part of the original fairytale, so it's kind of a shame he had to borrow mooks from the other members instead of having more animal members to play music with. But what I think was a missing oportunity is to have a star of the city encounter with bloodfiends and their reanimated corpses besides the red cross. The zombification of a colour would have been a bigger deal if we had been fighting the smaller zombies beforehand. Hell, we get a cutscene of one of Pluto's magic victims during the Dawn office cutscene but we never get to fight those victims, yeah we get the shaddows during the bossfight but its not the same thing
The part where she goes full bloodfiend in Distorted Ensemble made me like her again and see where she's coming from
