Well AA-12 is fine too I guess. But if this is seriously a prequel then you would think since Springfield is an old doll then she would appear unless she's been apart of G&K much longer than we thought.
It's only sort of a prequel, more of a spinoff. The event that fricks over the server everyone lives on happens in 2061, which is only 1 year before GF1 starts. And all the actual plot starts in mid-2064, between CT and Isomer. So the characters in the game aren't the actual versions of GF1 characters, but mind-copies of them that were uploaded years prior. So PNC's PA-15 (Florence) and the GF1 PA-15 exist simultaneously.
Oh thanks. I don't really know the lore of the spinoff since I dropped the first game two years ago around this time. A part of me wanted to jump into GF2 and maybe play this to tide me over until GF2 comes out.

Anime isn't canon because it's based off the manga which is also non-canon because it's been radically diverging from in-game events. Like 90% of the character dynamics of the last few events wouldn't make much sense if Gelatin was the canon commander. Game commander has killed people, Gentiane refused to even touch a gun.

My intial impression is this game play sucks. Gfl was better not by much but this feels like tap button then watch fight to continue then tap button again to see next fight repeat.
Gfl let you pick directions on the map and you could frick that up and fail the stage. This doesnt seem like you can lose if properly leveled.
General rule of thumb: Don't judge things too early. I've started playing "autobattlers" that end up being anything but autobattlers, once people understood how it works.
Early game is always easy and lacking options.
Dunno about this game in particular, obviously. As long as it's not a bug ridden piece of shit like Nikke, trying it out for a while before judging makes sense.

No. The best tank in the game (Croque) is free, Persicaria is a very good healer, there's a banner to pick a free 3* (top rarity for pulls) of which there are several good choices, and both of the current special banners (Aki and Hubble) are both top tier picks that you're basically guaranteed to get if you actually progress in the game.

They have different use cases. Florence for example pairs extremely well with warriors like Aki who dive balls deep since her damage reduction is more useful to have them not instantly keel over and her ult is a huge damage buff.

You have Aki so yeah you're good to go. Reccomended start is either Aki or Hubble then use the one you didn't get as a support when you need them.

Depends. IIRC the centaur b***h isn't the best, but others like Lam can totally punch above their rarity. You'll have to do the big think more often than if you just threw Aki at everything of course but it's still possible as long as your team comps aren't full moron.

My main complaint is how little exp you get. It's incredibly hard to climb when you can't level your units up enough
It looks like that you have to spend all your keys on EXP farming when you need to level dolls.
Especially with how many key contacts they give to you at the start.
I used to used an all rounded team but the damage wasn't cutting it so I needed to quickly level Fresnel, followed by secondary healers and tanks. There's just not enough keys

There are cases where you would run double healer. Mainly with Florence since she doesn't quite have the heals per second since she focuses on buffing frontline warriors.

She's really mediocre, you could slap a random sniper or warrior unit in there and they'd probably do better than her.

Most characters in this game are viable. Lam is the highest single target DPS in the game, Earhart is a well-rounded DPS with CC immunity, Yanny can buttfrick a single backline enemy, etc. The only irrelevant characters are the 1/2* non-Yanny tanks, since Croque exists. However, 1* characters require a lot of investment into fragment farming, since their base stats are so much lower than 3*s.

I've made that mistake and now will try to rush it to use them more efficiently.
Also make sure to use support units at all time, because they give you points that you can exchange for EXP or 1 weekly premium gacha ticket.

Nothing really since XP gain is stamina gated. The closest thing to a farm is IIRC 4-3E which drops skill pivots. This is definitely intended to be a slow burn sort of game.

Aki is my go-to for support. I don't quite have enough DPS yet for Unicorn_b***h in the 3rd vulnerability check map, so I slot him in instead of Croque and clean house. I need to not be lazy and clear the Dark Modes so I get get more skill whotsits and actually make progress.
You should be clearing the last map consistently by now. If you're still on map 2 your dolls must be extremely poorly levelled.

Basically there are split among Neural Cloud fans. The longtime GFLverse fans and NC only fans, the longtime fans do coexist in /gfg/. It's the NC only fans who can't sustain their own general.
What can you expect from a solved game that is 90% full auto-battle and only takes 15 minutes to do all your dailies including events?

Characters are scaled down to 3* if above or up to 2* if below. Skill levels get scaled down to 5 if above and do not get scaled up if lower. Pretty sure algorithms aren't applied at all and I don't know if intimacy bonuses get applied or not.
Shit is scaled down to 4* and lv 45
Shit is scaled up to 3* and lv 35
So optimal strat is to have all your shit at least lv 45 4*

Her passive gives extra attacks, which synergizes well with incremental punishment and other functions.
She's balanced how IDW in GFL should've been - solid all around, hilarious and adorable, and a fine general-purpose choice. Some of my chips have some debuff resistance on, so boss/assassin stuns aren't too annoying if they hit her.

Same, I can kill enemies but not fast enough, best I can do is kill sniper and heal bot, but then my Hatsu gets surrounded and killed by clones or I can't finish off jellyfish before overload zeroes healing. And if I don't take 2+ guard functions, Croq dies fast too. Tried like 30 times today before giving up.

I ended up getting it locked down. Slowish but locked down - Betty (bottom back hex), Croque (middle front hex), borrowed Hatsutiddy (Thank you Zerasz! Bottom front hex, she goes where she pleases so I suppose it doesn't matter), Fresnel (middle back hex), Persicaria.

Skill haste and attack speed are generally the best.
Make sure your rogue like buffs match your character. Damage goes with damage. Hash rate goes with operend damage
As for the event, 3 points in the right tree to get the better conversion. And dump the rest into offense. Maybe sprinkle a few defense

From what the guides say, she's pretty decent and her summon is possibly the best tank in the game. Nascita is the bait here, good damage and all, but the teleporting meme really lowers her impact since it spreads out her damage.
Dohna is pretty scary vs solo boss. I started maxing a Mai cause she scales so hard with Attack Speed. She's probably the only Physical Warrior who can get away with using the attack speed tile.
Betty also benefits well from the atk spd tile, especially with the extra true damage function since it triggers of both her regular attack and the extra from her passive. I like Nascita too, especially in a single target environment like you said. I'm just not a big fan of her passive when there's several enemies on the field.
I'm curious as to who people have as a secondary Medic. DeLacey feels like more of a support and pocket healer than anything else. I haven't really tried Florence much but she seems like a decent second to Persicaria. No idea about the others.
Also I still quite dislike the Entropy creep.
Nanaka is must have, if you mean after that, Imhotep and Florence are decent. Imhotep is the most offensive of the healers and supposedly will become a lot stronger in one of future updates.
Nanaka is good, but not an absolute must-have.

Which EP was it and is there a power lvl gap? The difference could also be algos. Using the right sets/bonuses is key. Not to mention the fact that Vee has no down time due to being ranged and not needing to move.

Never heard of it. I think she just gets a ton of attack from the boss. Unlike MLR and Rise's passive, Vee doesn't need to kill for her buff so she's naturally good against solo bosses.
EP has all at the same level, and I'm not sure if algos matter because I have no Aki and his performance is in line with others.
I just started the game about 2 weeks ago and currently stuck at stage 6-2. Any tips on how I can make my team stronger, should I spend a few neural kits to beef up some of my dolls to unlock more farming stages faster or just be patient and wait it out.

Nanaka and Angela are late game units that are only really good once built properly. For now use Persicaria and invest in Betty coin. As far as algos go, you're too early in the game to worry about them that much. Just burn your double drop on the weekend and auto equip.
I just thought Nanaka was cute honestly. But thanks for the advice, a friend just told me to never do resource collection except when the bonus is available which I was somewhat skeptical of.

Yes, but no. You want to only ever do the final node of resource farms, preferably on 2x, but if you need something that's not on 2x then just do it. The only exception to the last node part is if you need lower tier breakthrough materials since those don't drop on the last node. The priority for your keys should be as follows events>2x resources>2x algorithms>needed resources(no bonus)>algorithms.
Friends, use random people and pick functions that buff them up
Progression is weird, until you max most of your oasis, especially factory, it feels very slow, but becomes a lot easier after.
The only thing that you'll have to do without 2x bonus is EXP, unless you are claiming it with keys which is even worse.
Always deploy full support bench to get intimacy and research points. Get 1 upgrade for increased support chances asap and use borrowed dps units to push endless and dark mode, it will give you a ton of resources.

I tested this out with this weeks EP, Vee only edges out sometimes. It was dependent if the boss was targetable for Nascita or not when you pop Nascita's ult
In a flat no function, no ults EP. Nascita wins in almost all trash mobs, by at least 50% damage.
It ultimately depends on how skewed your functions are
I'm seeing the opposite, Vee scales better with functions and with enemy level. The more atk enemies have, the more damage she will do. If algos matter you want 0 skill haste and as much atk as possible on her, if you build hashrate she's underperforming.

And while my Vee isn't super buffed up she's not running white/blue algos like Aki

Raven is just way more dangerous than other bosses. Her normals deal ridiculous damage for some reason. The charge you can evade with Nanaka or Simo's ult or even good timing of tornado right before clarion's call finishes casting.

Raven is just nutty, her single target dps is insane. Only way your tanks are staying alive is with some strong damage reduction, Florence is almost necessary for me.
There's Hashrate Repair function set that caps the max damage tanks take for 10 hits, I guess you can use that as a last resource if your dps is nutty enough.
I dont know if RoF debuffs work against Raven but if they do, that would also help out a lot tbh

as for drops everything is listed out, if you need exp you farm exp, if you need coins you farm coins.
It's really not that hard, this game isn't trying to be too complex as the devs know this is a secondary game.
Among what the other guy said, neural expansion is going to be the most time consuming task when it comes to raising dolls.
As such, you should carefully pick what dolls you want to raise first and always focus on getting neural fragments from Vulnerability Check and Exception Protocols.
Aside from that, getting Skill Pivots is annoying so focus those as well once your oasis buildings are maxed out

You burn through your prefabs even if you stack blue mats all the time mix in a few purple mats and it should be a flawless machine. Also try to rotate between the skill box as well if you maxed out on doge coins.

Yes, but they only take effect on the first and third boss nodes. As such you still need to have normally viable functions that work with your party for everything else.

Pretty good, arguably a better tank than croque due to knockups/stuns and being able to revive with an ult.
That anon here, now that its been a while I've had a chance to use Puzzle for all content.
Puzzle is fantastic but she has a lot of quirks to get used to, I still use her in the same squad as Croque and swap them around on the situation.
Puzzle at a baseline is actually kind of average, like a 2* guard but she scales incredibly well/fast with functions and hash protocols (heavy firepower, marskman etc) and at full power is way tankier than Croque. As a result you really only want to use her in a hashrate sniper/specialist team. Warriors kind of hate Puzzle because of the knockup throwing enemies across the map. Physical Snipers will lose damage with hashrate protocols etc. Puzzle's greatest strength is just being able to cause absolute chaos on the map while your ranged dolls mow everything else down, I'm actually edging towards building a specialist party just for fun, Nora, Dushveyna, Puzzle, Angelina/Banksy(?) and Nanaka cause need a medic
Overall one of my favorite dolls and easy staple.

Specialists (yet), but I did just fine. I only had to bail once because I reached too far in addition to being RNGfukt and didn't have the event buffs built up yet. Overall I found it more fun and less frustrating than Exception Protocol. Now THAT mode irritates the shit out if me.

I meant to mention that one of my most entertaining runs this event was 3x medic (Persicaria, Imhotep at 4.5*, and Tiddyshrimp at 3*), Betty, and Croque. It was this run that sold me on the set that deals Allergy Damage. I also got a lot of Backlash boosting cards, so Betty ended up being more of a dedicated medic/specialist assassin and everything else was taken care of by Croque and The Meds.
Are you actually challenged at playing the game?
Instead of bragging how I do clears I'll explain my mindset.
Focus on warrior or sniper, unless you know what you're doing and unlocked the overload function to lead different classes trigger other class's functions.
Next always start with at least 1 dps, however the frick you ended with 3 guards and 2 medica is beyond my understanding.
Next ignore what the node function potentially drops. The goal is to hit the most purple nodes and get green protocols each time.
The only times you actually get functions is from the shops.
Or you could just use Puzzle, Hatsu, and Nascita to start with the periodic heal buff and the damage reduction start protocol then set it to auto.
I had 3 Medics, 1 Guard, 1 Warrior, if you'll reread my post a bit. The strategy you described is pretty much what I do. The RNG involved in this event entertained me, especially when I ended up with cards that made my Medics spit damage like mad. I haven't played it enough to unlock the protocols to have other classes use other classes' cards, but nevertheless I've had fun with it. I'm also still at the level 60 cap because I haven't made the time to go through all areas' story in the main game yet, so yeah it's a bit challenging. I also only rolled Nascita and Puzz in the last few days. I missed Aki the first time and I couldn't roll Hatsu for the life of me. It sucked. Hopefully I can fix that when we get her banner again shortly. She's pretty much the only Doll I get when I use a Support.

Even if you take the first point away as RNG, where are these layers of RNG that aren't part of the base game? OP was crying about layers and layers of RNG yet the only RNG pointed out was the back up squad.

In case you are really being honest. I'll break it down for you. The post is essentially saying that the added RNG makes it so that clearing any particular difficulty is highly volatile. So much so that you can't reliably clear the same stages. This is exacerbated by the fact you are meant to be farming these stages which adds to the annoyance. None of what you said even addresses this.
Also, plenty of examples of the layers of RNG were pointed out.
The mode starts you off with 2 dolls and the rest are random. This one change itself contributes to layers of rng not present in the main game.
When a negative protocol cucks you for a particular team comp, you are unable to adapt to it like you would in the main game because you have no back up dolls to swap for.
Rng functions also have a larger impact here because unlike the main game, you are entirely dependent on the mode giving you the class that would be able to make use of the functions that the game randomly gives you.
It isn't so much that there is so much more unique instances of rng added, but that the rng that was introduced in addition to the already existing rng has cascading effects. Hence the term LAYERS of rng.
Might I also add that the mobs types and bosses are also random. While in the main game you could form you team expecting a certain boss. In this mode you could reach the end of the layer only to find the term you were forming via rng is entirely ill-suited of the random boss.

Actual lmao, none of the negative protocols are that detrimental where you need a total 360 team swap. Now you're just grasping at nothing. Sure it makes the fights longer and maybe you have to micromanage but it's not impossible.

Probably just me but I never found out what boss is at the end of the map and I just attempted the map again LIKE A PUZZLE and more importantly LIKE A GAME.

Same as another anon said, I don't even bother looking at negative protocols in ebent, they change nothing and are very minor compared to debuffs you get in other parts of the game.
Yes, I like that there's different bosses. I don't know, maybe it's a lot harder for newer players, but I don't feel like any other rng is fricking with me, all the 3-doll start stages are pretty easy and you can farm tech points without finishing stages. I ended up claiming all the rewards from lv50 fervor with 6k tickets banked and upgrades at 37/48/31

You get 3 AI cores a month by spending 1.5k neural kits a month, so this is where most of your neural kits will go to now.
You also get like, 10 fragments as login rewards and 10 per free battle pass that's going on, as well as whatever events give you.
So if youre free to play, you will need to carefully choose who gets armas. Only get the 3rd levels if you reaaaally like that doll
