Talked about more.
Never played it.
What's its unique selling point?
Pretty good story and great presentation & style.
The gameplay is kind of weak though. Sort of like the original Silent Hill(s)
Is it scary tho?
Magical girl stuff sounds like an antithesis to horror...
No, cutscenes are too hilarious
Magical Girl bossfights
The only horror games from Capcom that aren’t Resident Evil that get attention is Dino Crisis, and that’s the one that plays the most like Resident Evil. I don’t think a lot of people have even played Clock Tower 3 to begin with.
Because it's older than you zoom zoom

Nice list. Great stuff on there. Even the weaker-reviewed titles are just great. Jericho, Obscure, Siren, better than any garbage available today.
nostalgiagays should be beaten to death
Here's an old list from the Wiki, pretty scarce.
post more
CV being the 2nd highest rated of the generation is fricking hilarious.
No disrespect for the Dreamcast but it's the Dreamcast version and everyone was desperate for exclusives due to its relatively small amount of bangers with mainstream appeal in its library, there were also like 15 reviews total. Same for Eternal Darkness and the GC. I do sort of agree with REmake's and RE4's scores though
Its an old horror game so it's probably a flawed gem but I never played it because it isn't actually a clocktower game.
First two games are some of the best horror games ever made
>First two games are some of the best horror games ever made
really that good? what specifically is so great about the first 2 games?
First two are terrible.
>First two games are some of the best horror games ever made
CT3 is actually the fourth game
Isn't it crazy how this pic has games that are among the best of the best (not just horror but video games in general) but now we are getting literally nothing? Like the genre went full indie and none of the games coming out now are interesting aside from maybe 1-2 titles
Which horror game has the jump experience?
As in, you randomly get attacked by enemies and can't see it coming. THAT scares the shit out of me a lot in games, couldn't beat Thief/System Shock 2 cause I was too young to understand how enemies attack you and it gave me the fear of being jumped.
>CT3 is actually the fourth game
Wasn't the PS1 shit?
>Wasn't the PS1 shit?
The sequel to the PS1. With the demon mask guy. I forgot there were two PS1 games.
Admittedly both PS1 games were shit, CT1/The First Fear is 1000 times better than both combined
You might like Fatal Frame, but if you're any good at vidya you'll acclimate pretty quickly.
The gameplay is nice but it's the atmosphere that keeps me coming back, the quiet before the storm and all that.
All of the cutscenes in this game make me think of old Japanese theater with the exaggerated movements and blocking I love them.
After the crapcom homosexual localization team post on Xitter about ESG/BRIDGE DEI homosexualry i rather they ignore all classics for a better good.
Wanted to purchase Apollo Trilogy but when found out they changed a few game text strings from a tomboy wearing boy clothing, Ditched the purchase and any further crapcom purchase.
Also the clock tower game in the works of wayhomosexualward have a fricking chink named kinucakes-kinuko from skullgirls involved on it along with other homosexuals who will for sure tone down the game on any element they see problematic so no thanks, no clock tower 3 remake.
I consider the first Onimusha game to be part of the horror canon due to its atmosphere and level design
>why isn't this more talked about
What does this even mean
>wow nice opinion did a youtuber/reddit/Ganker give it to you
Because actually playing it feels like a 5 hour long first draft for Haunting Ground. Interesting presentation though, with excellent mocap work for its time.
Because horror games that aren't called "resident evil" are boring as shit.
>magical girl boss battles
>exaggerated but endearing cutscene mocaps
>try hard mode after beating the game
>it turns into some high precision arcade game where you really have to maneuver effectively or get raped
clock tower 3 was cool. also they should've kept the sailor suit for the burger version
The game is complete and utter trash outside of the cutscenes and that's because Capcom didn't do the cutscenes. They outsourced them to a legit horror film director who knows what the frick he's doing.
never played it because when i was a kid i heard of the scene where the acid dude sprays the mom and son, thinking it was way gorier than it really was, so it made me kinda scared.
Hello listgays, how about talking about content in said games
I like Siren's mechanics because you cannot fight well and you have to be on alert at all times. Else you will get jumped.
Not much to add besides that, except great presentation.
Fatal Frame is the only series that manages to have arcadey and fun gameplay while somehow managing to stay scary as frick, that's why it's my favorite
I kind of want to play a fatal frame game in vr. I wonder if I can manage to do so with an emulator in stereoscopy mode.
Played this for the first time last year, it basically feels like an very early PS2 beta test for Haunting Ground. Enemies chase you and you find hinding spots to dodge or ambush sports where you can possibly cause him to stun while you escape
