That would imply that the attack comes from her mind and not her mouth, which makes no sense because it uses the Attack stat to calculate damage; this is something I hate from the anime btw, that the depiction of attacks dont even use the pokemon's anatomy (why use giant floating mouth instead of her actual mouth?) and usually is just some glowing thingy and in this case is yellow, which is a color that belongs to the Electric type. Really dumb.
At least she should have used her actual teeth but glowing in magenta, that would actually be alright

Concepts as types and attacks were a mistake
I always figured moves like that were supposed to be force fields or "physical light" in various medias. It's an extrapolation of the force field concept---if you can make non-material physical walls made purely out of magic/light, well then by extrapolation who is to say they can't be any shape? If you can make a physical wall from "mental energy" or whatever the frick, you should logically be able to make a force field sword, or anything you can imagine.
These wouldn't be objects with mass so they wouldn't work for shit like hammers, but for cutting and slicing sure, just conjure a really sharp force field.
