Blackrock probably, every developer that went woke is about to go broke unironically

Fricking have a nice day they're just rebranding it, ESG is not going away

How is a rebrand of something that is already known to have killed multiple studios going to be received any better?

What did this company even do, they have a bunch of games in their projects page but then when I look at the steam pages they aren't listed under developer or publisher and when I google it all I get is their projects page

merc studio. they get hired to help other studios. essentially doing the b***h work.

very interesting. maybe their work wasn't up to standards and that's why they didn't get paid lol

They are (were, kek) doing support work on Hyper Light Breaker and Tribes of Midgard. Splitgate was popular for a couple weeks too last year I think.

Uniornically. There's been a slew of layoffs happening at game companies very recently but most of the positions were QA (Quality Assurance) and most articles state that they'll be outsourced "overseas" (i.e. pajeetland or southeast asia).

They were the ones doing Sliptgate? I feel bad for them, as the concept there was solid enough (but really needed Portal's "see through the Portal" functions to be perfect. But Halo: Infinite literally came out within like 2-3 weeks of it's blow-up to kill it (and then itself kek) completely.

No, they're just the support studio. Probably making assets and textures and stuff.

Wanted to pointing out, since morons are already coming up with the usual WOKE stuff
This studio barely even did original work, it was mostly coding support

Who decided to just not pay them? Given how much work they did with inXile I am going to guess them because it seems like something Brian Fargo would do.

I bet it was striking distance. They don't have enough to pay their own devs they probably aren't paying them either. Likely a contract that specified future payments for the work rendered prior to release, that there hasn't been enough tail end sales to cover.
