I own a few Puyo Puyo games but no matter how hard I try I still suck at Puyo. I'm good at Tetris, I'm good at Panel de Pon, I'm good at Dr Mario, Yoshi's Cookie, Kirby Kira Kira Kids, basically anything EXCEPT PUYO. But I want to learn!
I have tried searching before and only found complex shit that can only be understood if you have Asperger's. Can someone please explain to me - in simple moron terms - how to play Puyo and be decently good at it? When I tried stuff I read about online before it didn't work.
In my experience, you make staircases out of alternating colors until your friends quit playing the game with you.
Download the english patched Puyo Puyo 20th anniversary for DS and go through School mode, it will teach you the basic patterns and you can improve from there.
