The entire point of a D&D (or Pathfinder) setting is that it's huge, has tons of stuff, and lots of characters and nuance spread throughout a host of materials that you can learn about.
Particularly if you play D&D, learning about the setting is kind of half of the fun. When it comes to vidya, you have a lot of people who've never experienced the setting before, so of course some of them discover that there's 40 years of autistic lorebuilding to read and go ham. Drizzt was terribly written and made absolutely no sense whatsoever. He never grows as a character and is inexplicably good for no rhyme or reason. Bruenor is just a basic b***h Dwarf which is so simple even Salvatore doesn't frick it up, Wulfgar was supposed to be the main character until Drizzt exploded in popularity causing Salvatore to first sideline him, kill him, then rewrite him about 3-4 times only to completely reset him altogether since none of the rewrites made him a compelling character. Wulfgar is a prime example of how bad a writer Salvatore is, he has a simple and basic character archetype yet Salvatore still can't manage to make him interesting or fun in any way and finally he throws his hands up and just leaves him as one of Drizzts sidekicks with barely any real character or persona of his own.

Are you asking what multiclass Avitus would be? Probably Fighter/Barbarian.
I mean it all depends on what you think the Space Marines are, some would argue Paladins but I feel that only fits certain chapters and in general most are Fighters instead. And certainly by the end of his path you can't argue that Avitus doesn't have a healthy amount of RAGE, so clearly he went at least a few levels into Barbarian. Also I get that you may argue that he's possibly a Rogue since he's a magpie, but I think it makes more sense for all Blood Ravens to take a feat that lets them have access to Sleight Of Hand.
I mean if you have a different viewpoint I'm open to arguments, but he clearly has at least a few levels in Barbarian and I don't think any chapter but the Space Wolves single class that.
Admittedly, you could argue the Blood Angels are actually a secret Barbarian classed Space Marine Chapter, what with the Black Rage, so you could make the argument it's not just the Space Wolves that have that class archetype.
I just can't accept the argument that the Night Lords are Barbarians, yes they are brutal and savage, but in general I feel like a Ranger archetype would fit them better, and especially their Primarch. Perhaps Ranger/Barbarian would be the best, though.

Yeah, you get multiple different dialogue options based on your origins. But man, the combat and character building are just terrible compared to the Pathfinder games. And with the release date in just two months none of it is going to be touched up or fixed, so yeah. The narrative and characters better carry RT, because the core gameplay sure as shit isn't going to do the job.

Are martial classes any fun? I'm like halfway through WotR and was thinking of starting a CE playthrough to mix it up a bit. I play a caster on my main so I wanted to try something different too but just from controlling party members martial classes don't seem as fun, it's just a lot of passive buffs and toggle abilities that most of the time don't even change your attack animation. I feel like spells add so much variety to the combat, do martial classes have anything like that?

If you go critical focus line of feats, you can add debuffs when you crit. Combat manuevers are possible, but should be reserved to monks who get two free trip attempts with style strike and pummeling style. Otherwise, it's pretty basic smash it until it dies.
I prefer LN, true Aeon myself. That´s the only path to true absolute justice and balance.
