Raid Shadow Legends

Am I the only moron on /vmg/ who still plays this bullshit? It's the most P2W, scammy, anti-fun "game" this world has ever seen, but there's a reason it's still going after 4 years; the most aggressive, forced down your throat advertising this world has ever seen and graphics of course. That being said, I'm still playing it, like a dumbass. Am I the only one?

Anyone else skipping this 3x speed gear on Dragon event? I'm saving up for the next fusion, I've got a decent amount of shards and chickens saved up, but I'm pretty low on gems. Even though the dungeon divers for Emic were insane point totals, I actually gained around 1k gems despite going for the fusion. Just gotta plan ahead.

Dragoneheir is a different kind of game though. How doable is the content in that game as a f2p? The rates for pulling Lego Champs is pretty high, way higher than raid, which is the only reason I'd switch over. I've got too many hours invested in raid.

what do you do once you up rank your starter? just farm more food and up rank another hero? what is the end game once you 6*? just more 6*?

      Anonymous

      Basic progression is:

      >get 1 champ you're gonna use as a campaign farmer to 6 stars level 60 with full masferies, this is typically your starter because they're positive affinity to the mobs on 12-3, the optimal stage to run for silver and xp
      >use that champ to level up food for other champs you've gotten or pulled along the way
      >keep grinding out the highest levels of dungeons and CB and arena until you save up some shards, then pull em during a 2x
      >get some of the many good and usable epics to make a UNM CB team together, will be faster and easier if you pull good Legos of course
      >once you start getting the top chest of UNM, sacred shards and Lego books come in regularly
      >use your new champs to farm higher and higher dungeons, tiers of arena, and all other content. The end game is getting to the highest level content in the game.

So it's pretty much the same progression path as most similar gachas. If you pay money things are easier and happen way faster, but you can definitely do everything this game has to offer, with the exception of the highest tier of PVP, as a completely F2P player. But it'll take you years to develop your roster and get good gear and a shitload of luck, whereas it'd take a whale like 10 min. Of course, they'd also run the risk of spending like $10,000 and still getting dogshit, because that's how this game works.

If you can't tell by now, I'm in the 'don't give these greedy developers a single red cent' camp. I hope you join us, it's nice here.

      >Am I the only moron on /vmg/ who still plays this bullshit?
      >playing this israeli astroturfed piece of shit in the first place
      Double digit IQs...

I'm an idiot and I fell for the marketing a few years ago. I'm a moron, I know, but at least I don't give them any money, I wouldn't be playing it if I had to give these greedy wienersuckers money.

          >is the good heros all epic/legendary? the power is gate kept with rarity?

Well that's a bit tough to say. It's true, some legos make about 99.99% of all other champs in the game worthless; they're just that strong. These are usually void legendaries, the hardest champs to aquire. On the other hand, there are a handful of rare champs that every single raid player will end up building and using, even in end game dungeons. Some unlucky players go years without pulling these key rare champs that unlock a bunch of content for you, and ironically they're lucky enough to pull OP legendary champs at the same time. I'll say this; you can, and people have in various challenge accounts, complete every single part of this game with just rare and epic champs. But you probably won't be unlucky for long, if you play correctly and save your shit for a 2x, you'll be pulling legos like crazy.

          >I am trying to make a beginner spider and cb team. but I just have athel and diania as high rank/level. doesn't seem like they good for anything but farming

I assume you mean deliana? She isn't actually a very good farmer; she's more of a crowd control champ, she locks down enemy waves with a provoke and puts buffs up when she's hit. If you only have 2 leveled up champs, you're not gonna have a good team for anything, let alone spider, the hardest dungeon in the game for new players. You need more 6 star maxed champs, that's asap. I would absolutely suggest a different campaign farmer; kael is 100x better in virtually every single way, but Athel can work, it'll just take 3x longer for 0 benefit. Work on maxing a good general team for all content, a nuker, a healer, a rezer, a champ that places AOE debuffs, a champ that places AOE buffs, and a champ that increases your team's turn meter; these are all critical things in a team. Either look up each of your champs on Ayumilove; it'll show you all categories I just talked about. Or you could post your roster and I can just tell you.

            >mfw I wasn't in time to stop anon from wasting his resources on a useless champ

God damn I'll never forgive myself. But yeah, tigersoul is a useless champ, totally outclassed by other rares and even some uncommons. Just because she has a poison on her a1 doesn't mean she's good in CB; I'm betting you don't have a team to support her, so it doesn't matter if she does a shitload of damage if your entire team dies on turn 10. That's why I told you to post your roster so I can see what you're working with.

If you haven't 6 starred tigersoul yet, stop now. She won't even be useful in faction wars or secret rooms in the late game: she's absolutely awful in every area of the game. The list of good rares in this game is small and exclusive; and tigersoul ain't on it.

You're in the right direction though. If you've got your first 6 star (I hope it's a campaign farmer!), next step is to get full masteries on them. Because of how scroll acquisition in the minotaur labyrinth, getting scrolls on one specific champ is a pain; the best thing for you to do is probably to bust gems and get full scrolls on your farmer. It's a lot of gems, I know, but it's necessary. After it's done though, you'll be shocked how many areas of the game open up for you.

my athel does 2-3 mill on the medium CB. I put a diabolist and heiress with her for extra turns. I have random shit for the other 2, which delinia and experiment hero. I saw arminger is really strong on dungeon so leveling him up now.

                Anonymous

Armiger is definitely a good champ, probably one of if not the best uncommon in the game. Believe it or not, he outclasses some epics and even some legos in terms of usefulness; that's not a joke or exaggeration, some of the champs in this game are just that bad. You'll be able to use him right now in places like fire knight, spider, and ice golem, and even in the very late game in faction wars and secret rooms.

Btw, most of your rares are probably trash. Diabolist 'used' to be a good rare a few years ago, but she's been totally power crept and is now virtually useless, and Heiress is only a good champ for CB in a very specific, very end game build. You should be fickle about which rares and even which epics you level up; some, like tigersoul, are so bad that they're unusable in all parts of the game. If you invest too many resources into what will just be vault queens/chickens, you're gonna regret it. Pic related, I use rares in my 2 key UNM CB team; these are great for me because they can perform on par with epics and legos, without needing epic and lego books. But you gotta know which ones to build, which ones to keep for a rainy day, and which ones you gotta get rid of immediately so they don't take up space in your account. Just post your roster homie.

Unlocking Brutal campaign stage 12-3 was your main goal, now that you've accomplished it you need to start leveling up and maxing out your first 5 champs. You'll need a balanced team to get you through the inital dungeon levels. There are dozens of champs that fill each role, sometimes both, and now your job is to find out which ones are good and which ones are bad.

Here are some roles to look out for:

Nuker/campagin farmer: This is typically a magic affinity champ that has AOE spells and can farm brutal campaign 12-3 on their own, using lifesteal gear. This champ does damage/power levels your other champs, and you sell all the shields for silver. They will also likely be your first arena nuker. Will likely be the 2nd slowest champ on your team

Healer/reviver: There used to be only a handful of rare champs who can rez, but now there's a lot more. You don't necessarily need a dedicated healer, but it's nice to have. It's likely that other champs that fill other roles will have heals in their kit. Will likely be the slowest champ on your team.

Debuffer: Throws out important debuffs like AOE decrease attack, decrease defense, weaken, stuns, poisons. Will likely be the 2nd fastest champ on your team.

Turn meter booster: a champ that AOE fills the turn meter of your team/places an increase speed buff, allowing your team to go first/take more turns. Will be the fastest champ on your team.

The last slot is a flex spot, it can either be a 2nd champ who fills another role or does something else unique/has an important passive.

When I started playing, there was a shard event like once a month. Now they do them every day. I would highly, highly suggest you start hoarding your shards, and only pull during a 2x event, like the one going on right now for Ancient shards. You are looking primarily for good rares and good epics that will impact your account. Sure legos are nice, but defiantly don't expect them, sometimes you'll have dogshit luck.

how long does it take to get a debuffer? I have diabolist and armiger but they're not really debuffing

i have a kael too but i think he is a flex

          Anonymous

There are several good rare debuffers. One of them is a farmable campaign champ from stage 9. Farm stage 3 until you get her/keep farming copies of her for books. She places the big version of decrease defense on an AOE, which no other rare can do. You'll likely pull an epic or even a Lego that does the job better within a month or two, but you'll still use warmaiden in end game secret rooms.

Diabolist is useless, you'll only need her to use rhazin and that's it. She's campaign farmable, use her as food.

            farm berserker?

              Anonymous

Not Berserker, he's useless, use him as food. Farm the other rare avaliable on level 9, 'The Deadlands'. Her name is Warmaiden. Go into the index and look at her kit.

Each campaign stage drops a certain artifact slot, except the boss who drops random shit. If you're farming campaign, you should always farm stage 3 if you're looking for more silver (shields sell for more silver than all other artifacts), and if you're looking for XP then you should farm stage 6 (the mobs on stage 6 give you more XP per kill). Since you're still in the early game, it actually might be beneficial for you to farm 6-6 (if you see 2 numbers like this, it always refers to campaign stage/level) instead though; the 'Palace of Aravia'. It drops speed boots, and since you're early game, you won't be able to farm dragon efficiently for speed gear. The most important stat for boots on early game accounts is speed, since it's the only slot that can have speed as a top stat. Farm 6-6 of brutal until you're numb, sell literally everything that isn't 4 or 5 top stat speed boots, and don't stop until you have like 5 or 6 of them. It'll take you a while, but trust me it'll make the mid game a snap.

Remember, the stat priority for building support champs is:

Speed > ACC > Defensive stats > Damage stats

Before anything you need to make sure your champs are fast enough to take turns. Then after that you need to make sure your champs have enough accuracy to land debuffs. Only after do you make sure they can survive. For nukers it's:

Speed/100% crit rate > ACC (if applicable) > Damage stats > Defensive stats

Your priority is still to make sure you're going fast enough to take turns, but equally important is having 100% crit rate; nearly every nuker in this game needs to be at 100% crit rate or their dmage is gimped. Then after you need enough ACC to land debuffs (some nukers don't use debuffs so this might not apply), and then finally you worry about damage and survivability.

                Anonymous

oh my screen so small didn't see her. I thought it is sorted by rarity. I have a shitty defence debuff and will get warmaiden later I guess. my heros don't really have noticable difference in damage with the debuff on. I can hit stage 8 dragon and fire knight and can upgrade my gear with it. my second nuker is too weak to kill, and my campaign farmer is stuck at 188 speed instead of 205.

I guess I farm 12-3 for second 6* or dragon 8 for gear. Farming spider takes like 5 minute each run and most of my hero cant use amulet yet.

many people play this game but only 9 people talk on Ganker about it :(.

I am going to 6 star shamael, then see if I can get to stage 13 dragon and fireknight.

      Anonymous

Depending on where you are in the game, Shamael mmight not help you in FK very much; the only utility he brings into the Fire Knight is his A1 which does a pseudo counter attack against enemies who place debuffs on your team. That's fine and all for Fire Knight who will hit your team with a decrease speed, so he'll pop the fire knight 5 times and take 5 ticks off his shield. But of course that means the fire knight will be hitting your team. Do you have a tanky ass team? Can you purge the debuffs or heal through the damage? It's one of the hardest early game dungeons for a reason. If your team is able to tank through the fire knight hits, then Shamael might work fine for you. But there are several champs, including rares, that put up a buff called 'reflect damage'; the enemy takes damage each time they hit you. It also takes ticks off the fire knight shield. Will you really build up Shamael for a job that a rare can potentially do?

A much better solution is the opposite; eliminate all risk by ensuring the fire knight never hits you or even takes a turn at all. Break through his intimal shield and start reducing his turn meter. If you have very good turn meter controllers who reduce turn meter on an A1 like Allure, Visix, or Armiger, the boss never even takes a turn.

Hopefully you've cracked enough void shards to where you've pulled the rare Coldheart; the #1 best rare champ in the game. Every single Raid account that's moved past the early game has a maxed out Coldheart; that's not an exaggeration, this is the only champ in the game that everyone has built because she's just that good. I have 2 of them maxed out, I know people with 4.

I don't play it, but I do enjoy the short ads it has.

A lot of people like their ads, which makes sense because the company dumps 95% of their budget into advertisement and new player acquisition, and leaves the game to languish like some piece of dogshit on the street.

so going from early to mid game need to upgrade gear or farm food.
    let pretend to farm dragon.
dragon drop 9 set and seems to favor frost and some other useless shit.
if it did not have favor we have 1 in 9 chance to get a life steal or a speed item. if it did not have favor then we have like 2 in 6 to get boot or glove. it is 1 in 7 to get speed boot if we get a boot. it is 1 in 8 to get crt percent on glove. assuming no favor and we want crit glove it is 1 in 432.

but it seem favored to drop shitty set and to drop glove. based on 1000 energy of farming.

this seem insane to progress by farming gear at early game instead of food farming. this isn't even discussing rolling substat that have a great influence.

      Anonymous

i guess farming the set dungeon on campaign will remove the 1 in 9. so you get 3 or 4 star rare item; but, it is 1/6 and 1/8 giving 1 in 48 unfavored odds to get a crit glove, assuming farming the campaign boss and an item drops.

      Anonymous

Content creators have already done the math. No particular set seems to be favored; it's a 1/9 chance you get a piece dropped from the set you're looking for, then 1/x for whatever rarity you're looking for. Pic related. This test has a sample size of thousands of runs per stage.

Btw, dragon 9 is actually a very poor dungeon to run. The rewards are garbage (you shouldn't be keeping most if not all 4 star gear past your first few weeks in this game). The energy per run does not equate to the gear return. If you can't progress past stage 9, this is probably a gear and champ issue. Dragon is definitely the easiest of the main dungeons, so there's a good chance you're ready for higher stages of dragon with the roster you've got right now. I can put a team together for you if you post your roster. Regardless, you absolutely should not be putting 1k energy into dragon 9. What a waste. Instead you should have been in 12-3 farming chickens or mino 15 farming scrolls. If you're in desperate need of speed gear, I'd suggest running the palace of avaria stage in campaign. Only farm for 5 star speed boots, sell everything else. Remember, you don't care about substats or rarity for these speed boots; all you care about is main stat speed and 5/6 stars. And in case you're curious; I've been plying on and off for 4 years and my account still only has 5 total 6 star speed gear speed boots. I run thousands of energy on dragon 20 or dragon 6 hard (depending on the tournament) during 3x speed events. Out of all those events, I keep maybe 1 piece. I sell everything else. Soon you'll be more and more particular on the gear you keep, and one day you'll enter the end game and sell everything that isn't the cream of the crop.

Check out this vid for more details.

        >Farming fireknight 7 with demonspawn right now for the event

Are you going for the max 4 soul reward? If you're ok with just 3 stars, i might suggest skipping this particular FK event. You're missing out on 3 days of Savage 3x for some monkey king souls; great if you use him all the time, but I'm not sure i'd trade some souls you'll eventually see in the marketplace for the chance to farm up some savage; a set that every single nuker wants. You won't be getting anything keepable from all those thousands and thousands of energy you're pouring into FK 7; at this rate you're only farming event points and a nominal amount of silver.

Also, if you're fully committing for the 4th MK soul, just know you're gonna have to drop maybe 1k or more gems to get the entire thing done, and we don't even know what the other events are gonna entail. Will you be able to farm IG with all Lizardmen, or Dragon with all Shadowkin, or Iron Twins with only champions that start with the letter 'C' or whatever other bullshit they come up with? If not, you'll be missing out on the 3x Savage AND the soul, which would suck. MK is like my 3rd or 4th most picked champ in all 3 arenas, and I think i'm gonna be skipping these events; i'll pick up souls in the marketplace, frick it. I already had the 1 star soul going into this; so everything I'd grinding for in this event is the 2-4 star souls.

And on top of all that, we don't even know how good this next Halloween fusion is gonna be. What if it's another 'can't miss' fusion? I hope you've got resources saved up in the tank for this fusion which is dropping in a week. It'd really suck if you didn't participate in Savage 3x, you didn't get the souls, AND your resources have been raped out of contention for doing the fusion.

Hey, I'm new to the game. Just starting out. I had 10 ancient void shards and was just wondering if this was some really good summons? It looks like getting 2 legendaries from 10 blue shards was extremely lucky? Are these legendaries really good?

      >Harima is his first lego

If you're not trolling me, then all I have to say is:

      FUUUUUUUCCCCKKKK YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU

Harima is one of the best legos in the entire game. She's usable everywhere, in every single piece of content in the game, but her main role right now is PVP; all 3 versions. Her passive makes her again, one of the very strongest champs in the game, rendering enemy nukers useless. Despite that, her skills have a moronic high multiplier, meaning her nukes do crazy amounts of damage, and she has an unresistable AND unblockable AOE provoke on demonspawn champs, and demonspawn champs are everywhere in the arena nowadays. probably like top 5 or top 10 best champs in the game. If this really was your first lego, then you're one lucky dog. I've pulled for Harima during every single 10x event since the moment I read her kit, I must have burned through 500 ancient shards and 50 sacreds by now. All I have to show for it is a bunch of dogshit.

Abbess meanwhile is a legacy champ; she was one of the first champs added to the game. She used to be considered an average legendary, but nowadays she's been power crept to the point of uselessness. There are rares and even some uncommons that have better kits than her. You'll likely be forced to build her sooner or later for faction wars, but for now i'd put that b***h deep in the vault and forget about her. Harima, on the other hand, is someone you should do an 'emergency build' for; that is, to drop everything you're doing in the game and max her out immediately; she's that game changing.

Meanwhile all I got from the event was my fricking 3rd Hephraak and Jagg bonesaw, both functionally useless for my account. I would trade all these for a Harima; I wouldn't even need to think about it, it'd just be done.

Yeah, I know. Little about the game right now. I just bought $80 worth of packages when I started and used the shards I got from them. I used like 7 purple shards, 2 yellows, 10 blue and some of the basic grey ones. This is my entire roster right now. Only about 40 champs with most being blue and green rarities. What's the best/fastest way and things I can do to build harima up?

          >basic grey ones
I meant basic green shards. I was thinking grey because of the common rarity.

Click this button and post a screen shot of your full roster, including all the rares. In this game, there are certain rares that are almost necessary for most accounts to progress. I've mentioned some of them in previous posts, but they are vital to your early game. In most cases, for early game players such as yourself, it's gonna be way easier to build out a rare champ instead of a legendary, simply because as a new player, you don't have access to a reliable source of lego books; that only comes after you've figured out your clan boss solution. Looking at your account, given how early game you actually are, it looks like you don't have your first level 60 champ yet. I'd suggest actually holding off on building Harima in this case; your first level 60 should actually be a campaign farmer; a champ you use to power level other champs into food. Creating more 6 star champs and making your initial team of 5 dungeon, arena, and CB teams should be your plan for the first few months of playing. Harima, even though she's an SS+ Dante must die tier champ, is not a good campaign farmer. She has 1 AOE, 1 pseudo AOE, and relatively slow animations, but most importantly she's the wrong affinity for 12-3 brutal, the optimal campaign stage for farming. Tldr; your first maxed out champ should be someone like your starter (hopefully you picked Kael because he's the strongest starter).

You have an extremely stacked account and if you plan on playing this game for a while, you are gonna be totally set going into the mid and late game with this account. Things will progress way faster for you than me and any of the sad sacks ITT who don't have your God tier luck.

Well your priorities are gonna be very different from others, that's for sure. Your main goal right now is to get a campaign farmer sorted out, and for most players, it's gonna be your starter. Looks like you chose Elhain; probably for coom reasons lel. She's probably the 2nd best of the starters. The reason we typically choose starters for our campaign farmers is because they all have AOEs with decent modifiers, and they're positive affinity for (brutal) campaign 12-3, the optimal campaign stage to farm for XP and silver. Even though you've got some great champs, you're gonna want to focus on getting Elhain maxed out ASAP; she's what enables you to get everyone else leveled up. Once you get her close to Harima's level, don't get discouraged if she hits softer; her modifiers are worse so it's to be expected. They will play completely distinct and separate roles in your account, but your priority now has to be getting a campaign farmer sorted out.

I would work on these champs, in this order. At this stage, I would save every single rare and above champ and put them in the vault if you aren't using them. Dupes you can use for faction guardians. If you start to run out of space, sacrifice rares that are shitty (look em up), but DO NOT sacrifice the ones that have the blue fusion symbol next to their rank and affinity (the centurion in the top right is an example) first.

These are the champs you should work on.

Red: Priority #1, work on her first
Green: Priority #2, start working on them after your campaign farmer, no particular order
Blue: Priority #3: Very good champs, but if you pull something else in priority 1 and 2, work on them first before these
Yellow: Mixed priority: some of these champs are alright, some are niche and will only be good in certain areas. Don't work on these unless they fulfill a specific role; kinda a 'you'll know if you need it' type of champ.

              1/2

Here's my roster. I've only got like 3 hours put into the game so far. Only put about $80 into the game.

Other than fusion champs, which you should always keep 1 copy of (you'll ned to fuse champs to complete missions), the rest of these champs should be put in the vault and used as faction guardians, and if necessary, used as food.

This is how your game should look in the next month or so:

                >Finish getting campaign farmer maxed out to level 60
                >Spend 800 gems and buy full masteries on Elhain/Run her through minotaur stage 15. Buying masteries saves a lot of time since you can only get scrolls on 1 champ per run, and since you're early game you'd have to run 5 champs, meaning it takes 5x the runs and 5x the time, but it also means your other champs will have masteries as well
                >Use Elhain to farm up food/XP for priority 2 champs, max them out to 60 with full masteries as well
                >Inbetween campaign farming sessions, occasionally run your champs through each dungeon to gauge your maximum progress

The first month of this game is the most boring, but once you have your initial 5 champs maxed out, everything kinda opens up for you. You'll be able to progress through missions and dungeons at a break neck speed. I'd highly suggest maxing out your Gem mine and sparring pit ASAP with the gems they give you as rewards. It's a long term investment, but the way I see it, it either pays off for you in the long run (a few months) or by then you've quit the game, and it doesn't matter what you did or didn't spend gems on.

There are some great beginner guides on youtube; look for Hell Hades or Ash's videos, they're a good jumping off point.

Finally, this is one of the rare games in which every single player knows how fricking greedy and scummy the devs are. The game is literally designed from the ground up to get you to spend money. Dropping even a dollar will cause the prices of every pack to rise from now on; it's an endless cycle. Until you know what packs are good and bad, i'd suggest holding off on spending for now, or you'll be wasting money on garbage.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I kept most of my fusion champs since I wasn't sure if I would need them for some weird requirements in the future. I've kept most of my rare champs. There's some special time limited tome pack on sale right now for $40. I think it's like 5 legendary tomes and a bunch of epic and rare ones. I'm wondering if that's worth it as just a big time saver purchase?

I used up every lego and epic, sacred, and ancient shard during the last CVC/fusion. Pic related is everything I got in about 1 week, and this cost me $0. Also keep in mind that I spent about 1,000 gems in the last week; all free as well.

You've already seen my roster; it's decent for a late game account; I can do 99% of all PVE content in the game with my roster, but it's nowhere near as stacked as some of the whales in my clan. To get these resources, I've spent a grand total of $0. All of this was acquired with just play time; in fact it was won through the easiest content in the game (once you figure it out one time, it's done forever and it keeps netting pure profit every time): the clan boss.

As someone who's spent money and as someone who's been free to play for 3 years and counting (I quit for about 2 of those years though), I can assure you that the only thing you're paying for in this game is convenience. You're paying to get ahead of someone who's F2P, but give them enough time and they'll catch up to you because you can get all the required resources in this game for free. In my opinion, even giving these greedy devs a single cent is too much. You're still new so you don't even know a fraction of the shady and greedy shit this company has done in the last few months alone. Once you start spending, it'll become an endless cycle, which is how the game is designed. It's designed as a money sink first, and a game second. Everything bows before the almighty dollar in this game.

Tldr: yes that pack is over priced. Use HH's pack calculator

Oh, and also, what are the best artefact sets in the game? I think I have a life steal set. But there's a 6 star speed set on sale for $30. Is that worth it?

                Anonymous

                >Oh, and also, what are the best artefact sets in the game? I think I have a life steal set.

The best set varies depending on what kind of champion you're building. If we're talking your campaign farmer, for an early game player such as yourself, the best set would be lifesteal since you're gonna have trouble sustaining yourself in brutal campaign unless you can lifesteal. If we're talking nukers, the best sets in this game are savage, cruel, and crit damage. If we're talking champs who will solo an entire dungeon by themselves, they need regen and immortal sets. For champs that need to go as fast as possible, they need sets like speed, divine speed, and perception. If we're talking debuffers, they need ACC to land their skills, so perception and accuracy sets are important.

But overall, one of, if not the most important metrics in terms of judging artifacts is the substats they have and roll. You can make just about any build work even if they're 6 pieces from 6 different sets. There's a phrase that's passed around raid, and that's "stats over sets". Don't force your champs into sets unless the stats make sense; the stats you get from sets aren't that much at the end of the day. Likewise, don't get discouraged if you can't make a particular build work with a certain set in mind: it may be that you have other pieces in off sets that will work fine.

In terms of overall value, the gear packs in this game probably provide the most. Clearly you can tell by now that I'm totally against spending on this game, but if you insist, the gear packs are not a bad place. Once you get to the late and end game, you'll find that every time you farm dungeons, you keep maybe 1 usable piece out of every 100 that you farm; most of it will be trash because you'll only keep the best of the best gear. At that point, most whales stop buying shards and energy, they just buy gear. But it's a total gamble; you could get some amazing end game gear, or you could get nothing.

And you pulled a Cardinal in the meantime? Lucky dog; I still haven't pulled her; such is the nature of the game. And you got warmaiden, Wukong, and Burangiri as well; that's very good, they're all excellent champs. As stated, you're gonna need your first team of 5, and each champ needs to fulfill a role. For me, i'd chose:

                Elhain: nuker
Harima: wave control/boss debuffer, dungeon and arena nuker
                Skathix: buffer
                Warmaiden: debuffer

You're still missing a healer/reviver and a turn meter/speed booster; hopefully by the time you've built out the other champs, you'll have pulled Apothecary, a rare High Elf, widely considered the rare turn meter booster/healer in the entire game. One of the main problems you're gonna run into with an account that's stacked with good champs is you're not gonna have the books required to make your champs fully functional. An example would be Abbess; she fulfills the exact same role as Warmaiden but she's even better because her attack multipliers are better, so she hits harder. But her downfall is that she's a lego who requires lego books to do the same job as a rare. I wouldn't put a single book in Abbess if my life depended on it; as a late game F2P player, I only get about 12 lego books a month, and I need them for better champs than Abbess.

In the meantime, check out some vids about gearing; gear in this game is actually more important than champs. HH does a good intro on how to gear, but there are others as well. Your Elhain is not geared properly for campaign farming; i hope you've only got her wearing that for that one stupid mission.

        >congrats. i have play 1 month and only got 3 epic from the orange shard.

That's very typical for raid. I didn't get my first lego until a few months in, and it was one of the worst legos in the game. I played for more than half a year before I saw my first good lego. My account has always since inception been way more about epics than legos. I've had to make somevery budget teams with a lot of purple champs work. Trust me when i say you don't need legos for any particular area of the game, except for high end arena. You can finish every single piece of PVE content with rares and epics, in some cases they're the most meta teams. Don't get discouraged because you don't have any legos, if you pull one but it's complete trash and unusable, you'd prpbably feel worse.

        >I am stuck I think. I have 2 6*, but still not able to do stage 13. Just have to farm more 6*...

Just getting them to 60 isn't enough. Your champs NEED masteries (and gear and books) as well, this is a requirement; non negotiable. I see some early game players thinking they can skip getting masteries; nah bro, you can't skip it on any champ. It sucks, it takes forever, but run your champs through minotaur. You get silver and XP, so make sure you're double dipping. Most people recommend just buying the masteries with gems on your first 6 star, which is a solid plan, but I didn't, I've played for 4 years now and I haven't bought masteries even once.

I dropped it recently after getting the monkey. Whole game just became tedius, eating up hours of my time and before you say you're supposed to walk away as it plays itself, that's not a game I'm partial to. Same deal with Dragonheir which I also recently dropped as I was doing the exact same thing everyday.

Plarium's better game is Mech Arena but they love to pit you against paying players and they will devour your team.

The only "gacha" game I play now is Harry Potter Magic Awakened. It's actually fun and your dailies only take 30-40 minutes. Just don't grind up to Grand Master tier as that's where all the paying players are.

During void 2x I pulled Sulfuryion and Little Miss Annie in the same 10 pop, feels meh if we're being honest. They certainly aren't a fricking Yumeko or Warlord or Marichka, but they're decent. The real prize for me was pulling the epic Godseeker Aniri. She ironically makes Sulfuryion an S tier pull for me; now I can duo the higher SD levels.

Then one of my clan mates pulled his sacreds during this 10x Duchess and got her, so I rage pulled all my sacreds. 8 down the drain, didn't get shit. Just gimped my account for no reason, frick me.

I'm pretty late game, so I don't farm dungeons unless there's a 3x event for pieces I want, or if it's required for a fusion or tournament. I only keep the very best of the best gear, so in the end I only keep 1/100 drop from dungeons. That means 99/100 runs, or 1980 energy, is completely wasted. That's not a very good investment for my energy.

The way late game players get gear is primarily the doom tower, both the CBs, and faction wars. I spend the vast majority of my energy in Spider, where I can farm chickens and accessories at the same time. It's a much better energy to silver and XP return. Sand Devil will soon take up an equal amount of my time, now that I have a team for 24. But my focus has never really been PVE in this game; everything I do on that end is used to progress my PVP teams, that's the only thing I really care about.

i was trying to guess the odds and got like 1/20,000 to get a triple speed epic item 4 or 5 star, and 1/200,000 for a 6 star.

i dont think I will be able to upgrade my speed set (220 speed), or my accuracy savage set (200 something acc)
I might go for nuker set or farm faction war rares. feels like this might be it for f2p unless there are some huge RNG hero drops and item drops.

          >i was trying to guess the odds and got like 1/20,000 to get a triple speed epic item 4 or 5 star, and 1/200,000 for a 6 star.

I'm not sure of the math, but that honestly doesn't sound too far off. I've been playing off and on for 3 years, and in total I have 3 trip roll speed pieces. I have 0 quad roll speed substats in speed gear (I have them in other sets though).

          >i dont think I will be able to upgrade my speed set (220 speed), or my accuracy savage set (200 something acc)

Nah bro, if you're only 220 speed on your arbiter, you've got a long long way to go. You're still at the stage where farming dragon is a great use of your resources, assuming you're hitting 20 and above. My arbiter is 356 speed, and I win the speed race in silver 4/gold 1 TTA about half the time. It's an uphill struggle, but trust me, keep at it. I mean my fastest nuker is faster than your arbiter, and has more ACC than that savage set you're taking about, Pic related; you're running way too slow. Do you use the hh optimizer? Maybe you've got some gear you're sitting on that you forgot about.

          >I might go for nuker set or farm faction war rares. feels like this might be it for f2p unless there are some huge RNG hero drops and item drops.

Bro I'm F2P, and I've posted my roster; you can absoltely progress further into the game. I'd argue the only thing my account can't do right now is higher diffuclties of hydra (because I hate that game mode and don't try to progress it) and Plat arena. I can do every other part of the game. If your fastest champ is 220 and you can't get over 200 ACC on a savage set, I'm guessing your account isn't advanced enough to farm stage 21 of faction wars. Besides that, you're missing another key component: time. You can only get glyphs through faction wars, and you can only hit them so many times per day. I'm sitting on years and years of glyphs; glyphs that newer players literally can't pay for even if they had all the money in the world; even if I had an exact copy of your arbiter's gear, I can probably get 50 more speed due to glyphs. I'm willing to bet that this is a gearing issue. If you're hitting level 20 of all the dungeons, you gotta farm them, possibly for weeks at a time. Slowly your NM CB team will turn from 2 keys to 1 key. Then you start getting more and more sacred shards and lego books, and since you're a prudent player, you've saved up and popped all your shards during a 2x. Now all the sudden you're sitting on a brand new nuker/support/whatever and your account is suddenly gonna skyrocket. That's the nature of this game; some months I feel like i'm sitting on my dick doing nothing, other months are jam packed full of champs for me to work on.

I'm actually having a hard time believing 220 is the highest speed you can squeeze out of an Arbiter; how in the blazes did you even finish the Arbiter missions if your fastest champion is 220? that might be a record. 220 can be all 5 star rare pieces; no 6 star required at all. Post your roster I'm so curious what you're working with.

Maybe you've got some gear you're sitting on that you forgot about.

how do you farm your gear?
I unlock stage 13 dragon. Time to get 6* speed boot and life steal gear

Alright disregard my posts LMAO; I misread, looks like you didn't even mention Arbiter, my fault. Then yeah in this case you're probably still early to mid game. You just gotta keep progressing your account man. Do you have 6 star speed boots on your fastest champ? If not, consider heading into nightmare campaign and farming the speed set stage until you get a bunch of 5 and 6 star speed boots; frick the substats. Most of the early game consists of farming the dragon for better speed gear; that's what you're in for. Don't feel like you need to spend in this game to get ahead; it's not true.

I downloaded and uninstalled. I would play scum and play this game if you could by a couple of champs straight out, I don’t like rolling, and don’t pay for it in games.
Ironically, I uninstalled after 2 months last year because I learned a character I wanted was gated behind what is supposedly 2-5 years of content in the doom tower, and could not be rolled lmao.
The guaranteed Medusa hero and the cute literally common waifus almost had me stay, but you can’t invest as much as I’d like in those types of fodder heroes without bricking the account, and the Medusa hero I was getting like 1 token a week for.
You need a hundred to get her.
Good looking fantasy game though. Was surprised by it after comically giving in years late to the viral marketing.

Which is the better gear set. regeneration or life steal? Are there instances where one would be preferable to the other?

Lifesteal is an early game set, only suitable for your nukers, since the amount of hp gained is based off the damage you do. Your supports won't heal with Lifesteal sets. Once you reach the point where you can farm fire knight 20, you'll start selling all your Lifesteal gear. Regen gear is critical in this game, probably overall a top 5 set; since the heals are based off your max hp, theoretically all your champs should be able to heal a shitload each turn of you've built them with a lot of hp. There are a few dungeons in this game that are more efficient/faster to run with just 1 champ and 4 food instead of a full team of 5; all the food dies instantly and your one champ solos the entire dungeon in less time than a team of 5 who all stays alive. Most of these solo builds require immortal + regen sets. For my sand devil team, I'll need a regen and immortal set with 265 speed, 65k hp, and 4.5k def; the Stat requirements mean each piece needs perfect rolls. You'd better start collecting now if you want a chance of getting gear like this.

Any regen piece that's 5 stars and above and has at least 2 defensive/support stats (res, hp, def, acc, speed) should be kept; you should have a shitload of regen gear going into the mid and late games, and you should have virtually no Lifesteal gear.

Is the new forge pass worth it? The reward set is defiant.

If you're a spender, the forge passes are one of the best deals you can possibly buy, but it's still dependent on what set is being featured. If I had to rank the forge pass sets, it'd go: bolster, instinct, righteous, and defiant, from best to worst. That being said, every forge pass set is still good and will be viable in end game builds. I personally just like defiant the least because it has the least pvp applications. It's still an amazing set in pve/in certain pvp builds. Whereas bolster is a critical pvp set that should be run in at least 1 of your live arena champs, and would be my top priority if I were a spender. That's the thing though; the forge pass comes around every month; pretty costly if you end of buying it every time. Gun to my head I probably would skip the defiant and righteous forge passes if I were early to mid game.

For shits and giggles, take a look at what you get if you don't buy the forge pass; pretty much jack shit. We only get 75 gold ores at level 50; that's enough for fricking 15 rolls; each month you can only get 15 tries for this critical gear that's almost required in high level arena. And of those 15 pieces, you'd be lucky to keep 2 or 3. But if you spend money you get like 1000 gold ores lmao. Total horse shit if you ask me.

What's the consensus on xena and the battle pass?

Kinda up in the air for me. Xena looks super powerful in arena, she can cut in with 100% turn meter if your enemy places even just 2 buffs per champ. Then she ignored a shitload of defense because they got buffs, and she probably 1 shots their team. We still don't know how her multipliers look, so if she hits soft, then frick it. But if she's got decent multipliers, I think she's an amazing arena champ, and will likely shake up the meta. I'm thinking to myself and I'm not sure I got a very good counter for a strong built Xena in arena, and my account is decently developed. I can't imagine the havok she's gonna be reaping in the lower levels of arena where people don't have a deep roster filled with counters.

But again, we gotta look at over all cost. For $40, the price of the pass, all you're actually getting is Xena. The other rewards are fricking trash, frankly they're more insulting than anything. A 5 star speed glyph at the end? Really homie? That's like 2 days in faction wars if you're really unlucky.

If you're PVP focused, and 40 bucks is chump change for you, idk I'd probably snag it; you can't get her from shards outside of 'select 10x events', aka total scams/wastes of time. But I think the devs of this game are a bunch of slimely greedy pieces of shit, so I would t give them a single cent. But that's me of course.

Is this worth it? I don't have any mythic gear and the only 6 star set I have is a 6 star legendary life steal set. Should I buy multiple sets or just one? I have harima and I assume this would be really good for her?

I forgot this thread was still up lel, fuggin ded game

I'm a bit late so you'll either have already bought it or you passed on it, but the tl;dr is that it would take you about a month of farming fire knight hard 10 on repeat to get a 6 piece set of mythic gear like that. The gear distribution in dungeons is pretty insane. I'm late game and I keep maybe 1 of every 100 pieces I get in the dungeon, and I typically sell it after I roll it to +4 and it rolls badly. Good gear is extremely hard to come by in this game, and the moments where you get something amazing in dungeons feels better than opening shards in my opinion.

But that's the rub; if you're spending money on this game, you're either buying shards, energy to farm dungeons, or gear; everything else is pretty much a variation of these 3 things. For an early game player such as yourself, shards are probably the best thing to buy. There's still a bunch of rare and epic champions that are critical to every raid player that you don't have; look up Coldheart, Apothecary, Allure, Seeker, and Seer for a start; every single late game Raid player has these champions maxed out because they are so important to progression. Your list of champs that would help progress your account is like a mile wide. You'll always farm gear later; this game is nothing but farming gear at the end of the day (with some PVP sprinkled in), but if you don't have shards you'll never pull these key champs.

Also, buying gear is super, super risky. I hope you know how gearing works in this game, if not there are several youtube vids, but you're rolling the dice every single time you get a piece of gear. Is it the right rarity/rank? Is it a good set? Does it have a good main stat? does it have good substats? Did it roll well? Did it ascend well? That's 6 things that can go wrong; and if you buy gear you only control the first two. What if you buy that pack and every single piece is a shitty roll?

If you've got money burning a hole in your pocket and you really want good gear, the forge pass is way better value for money. Those sets are exclusive to the pass, and most of them are extremely meta. If you wanna buy gear packs however, I would first and foremost start with speed gear. In my opinion it's the #1 most important gear set in the entire game. It's a great set on virtually every single champ in every single situation, with the exception being certain champs in the arena and other end game solo content. If you bought a pack of savage gear, for example, that shit can only go on nukers, which should be 1/3 of your roster. So your supports/healers/revivers can't take advantage of that. But speed gear can go on everyone at all times.

Before you do that though, I beg you: check out these vids of people rolling gear they got in dungeons/bought from packs. These guys are end game so their filter will be way stricter than you and I, but the point remains; they keep maybe 3-4 useable pieces, 1-2 godly pieces, then the rest is sold because it's trash.
