I like her because she's homely and kinda down to earth, she's "normal" while every other girl is too out there. She's also devoted and smart, and a natural detective sidekick to Yuma in that regard.

I didn't even understand the point of having Yuma question her gender in the first place. If you can't finish chapter at one sitting, I would recommend to finish Investigation and Labyrinth at two different days.

To fix it just save often, remove the mod if you encounter the crash, finish the section then re-add the mod.
Yakou was already dead when Yuma and Vivia heard his voice and Vivia just lied right? Since he should not have been able to hear their ghost argument if alive (something noted in the clues). For some reason that never came up, even when they wonder if he died before the mystery labyrinth or not.

I really think the world was well built. Many, many mysteries on top of each other, the whole thing was great and makes sense. The pink blood is a little too cheeky but it was a fun idea.
I just know that after a few months, I'll have forgotten about most of the cast besides Yuma and Shinigamemi. Her especially was a great sidekick which evolved during the game.
Like you said I think Kodaka tried to fit in a little too much and I hope he manages to balance both if there's a next time.

Yeah you can definitely feel Kodaka improved as a writer in Rain Code compared to Dangan, seemingly an actual mystery novelist was in the team explaining how the solutions are grounded (maybe too easy). Like a lot of people I thought chapter 5 would be a drag like the last portions in DR2 or V3 but no, it was actually enjoyable.
If Ace Attorney games managed to strike a good balance between emotional involvement and quality of the mysteries I'm sure future Master Detective Archives games could achieve something similar too. Maybe make the mystery labyrinths work differently and allow them to have the real humans take part in it and have more than one partner for instance

I actually agree, but this one isn't as well written as Danganronpa games. It feels rushed, needs a sequel to be as good as danganronpa. I finally finished it. It was good. But I have a few questions. How did Kurumi get the permission to leave the city? How is she going to protect herself from sunrays? Is that why she bought body cream? In the end Yuma found the poster with missing girl. Right after that there is the murder scene. Was this girl killed? Will Fubuki become new number one?
I knew the explosion was used as a way to cover his tracks but I assumed it was a ladder or a rope, not something as stupid as the actual solution Why did he even bother faking the suicide? His Shadow even said pretending the peacekeepers killed him would have been much better

I'm not sticking around for spoilers, but I've just done Case 0. First impressions:
Bold move to make box art and marketing for characters who die off within 10 minutes. Not the first time the devs pulled this, but never to this level of a quick body count. Problem is that even with the cheap hint at a love interest, it's hard to care for any of them when they go so unceremoniously quickly Train car plan was good, though got a bit too obvious when the route map was introduced. It is a tutorial mission to be fair. But like the victims, it's hard to care about the killer's generic motivations here either
I am basically just waiting for the "this is set in the world of Danganronpa" twist at this stage. Probably some "you are secretly a psychopath" thing too.
Shinigami is already veering a bit too much into the annoying territory. It's like having a friendly Junko at your side, a character that's fine in short doses but migraine inducing for long periods of time
It feels like there's a lot of waiting/dialogue which would have still been there in a full Visual Novel, but it's been padded out with unnecessary slow walking which somehow makes it feel slower. Despair Girls was clunky too, but I feel that game handled the jump to a 3D setting better than this did, and that's a 9 year old game now.
That barrel minigame is painfully fricking slow. How does it not have a speed up option like the battles do?

There needed to be a mystery for the game to happen, I assume around when that case was written the Peacekeepers weren't ALL powerful and still needed to report to someone but were just regularly lazy and corrupt and then thar changed some time during development.

At least Kodaka, as moronic as his overarching stories can be, doesn't care if you get the first game spoiled. Danganronpa 2 shows you exactly what happened at the end of the first one, who survives, they even talk about who died how. Because why wouldn't they show that? It's the second one.
If Uchikoshi wrote Rain Code's sequel, he would probably give Yuma pink contact lenses just so there's a reason for the blood to still be pink outside of Kanai Ward.
In an interview regarding nirvana initiative uchikoshi admitted he doesn’t care about overarching story consistency since he will retcon the story if he comes up with a new idea that he thinks is cooler than what he originally wrote.
It can potentially pay off, but I prefer he would rather just refine the original story over just ignoring it.

With the advent of smartphones, it probably isn't all that useful. Though if Zange is able to use other screens such as monitors or TV screens, then that would be very useful.
They did say they sent a ton of detectives to kanai ward, but Amaterasu managed to stop most groups coming in and the ones we see are just the ones that made it.
I would honestly guess there were going to be ideally 50+ detectives there, but they never give out specific numbers of how many people they actually sent.
If we believe it's the same amount as Yuma's train group for the other groups, then that would be around 20. Of course it's conjecture so that might not be applicable here.

Yakou was already dead when Yuma and Vivia heard his voice and Vivia just lied right? Since he should not have been able to hear their ghost argument if alive (something noted in the clues). For some reason that never came up, even when they wonder if he died before the mystery labyrinth or not.

I really think the world was well built. Many, many mysteries on top of each other, the whole thing was great and makes sense. The pink blood is a little too cheeky but it was a fun idea.
I just know that after a few months, I'll have forgotten about most of the cast besides Yuma and Shinigamemi. Her especially was a great sidekick which evolved during the game.
Like you said I think Kodaka tried to fit in a little too much and I hope he manages to balance both if there's a next time.

Yeah you can definitely feel Kodaka improved as a writer in Rain Code compared to Dangan, seemingly an actual mystery novelist was in the team explaining how the solutions are grounded (maybe too easy). Like a lot of people I thought chapter 5 would be a drag like the last portions in DR2 or V3 but no, it was actually enjoyable.
If Ace Attorney games managed to strike a good balance between emotional involvement and quality of the mysteries I'm sure future Master Detective Archives games could achieve something similar too. Maybe make the mystery labyrinths work differently and allow them to have the real humans take part in it and have more than one partner for instance

I actually agree, but this one isn't as well written as Danganronpa games. It feels rushed, needs a sequel to be as good as danganronpa. I'm not sticking around for spoilers, but I've just done Case 0. First impressions:
Bold move to make box art and marketing for characters who die off within 10 minutes. Not the first time the devs pulled this, but never to this level of a quick body count. Problem is that even with the cheap hint at a love interest, it's hard to care for any of them when they go so unceremoniously quickly
Train car plan was good, though got a bit too obvious when the route map was introduced. It is a tutorial mission to be fair. But like the victims, it's hard to care about the killer's generic motivations here either
I am basically just waiting for the "this is set in the world of Danganronpa" twist at this stage. Probably some "you are secretly a psychopath" thing too.
Shinigami is already veering a bit too much into the annoying territory. It's like having a friendly Junko at your side, a character that's fine in short doses but migraine inducing for long periods of time
It feels like there's a lot of waiting/dialogue which would have still been there in a full Visual Novel, but it's been padded out with unnecessary slow walking which somehow makes it feel slower. Despair Girls was clunky too, but I feel that game handled the jump to a 3D setting better than this did, and that's a 9 year old game now.
That barrel minigame is painfully fricking slow. How does it not have a speed up option like the battles do?

If Uchikoshi wrote Rain Code's sequel, he would probably give Yuma pink contact lenses just so there's a reason for the blood to still be pink outside of Kanai Ward.
In an interview regarding nirvana initiative uchikoshi admitted he doesn’t care about overarching story consistency since he will retcon the story if he comes up with a new idea that he thinks is cooler than what he originally wrote.

Play the game. All Kurumi gave was surface level info to Halara given Kurumi's only value is she is a resident of the city. Halara figured everything else out on her own.

That shota has the most brilliant brain in the world and was able to solve every case perfectly. Plus his Forte is also pretty OP even though his intelligence and detective mind overshadows the power of his Forte. I'm not saying Halara has no chance. I'm just saying it's a tough competition with over 900 other master detectives who can be voted for unless they limit the candidates to a smaller pool.

Probably. I believe we'll see the other 4 master detectives again at some point in a sequel. Even if we don't cover it as Yuma, we'll find out what those guys are doing now.
maybe their dlc episodes will clue us in on what they'll do going forward besides wdo work. though it depends on when those episodes take place.

With the advent of smartphones, it probably isn't all that useful. Though if Zange is able to use other screens such as monitors or TV screens, then that would be very useful.
They did say they sent a ton of detectives to kanai ward, but Amaterasu managed to stop most groups coming in and the ones we see are just the ones that made it.
I would honestly guess there were going to be ideally 50+ detectives there, but they never give out specific numbers of how many people they actually sent.
If we believe it's the same amount as Yuma's train group for the other groups, then that would be around 20. Of course it's conjecture so that might not be applicable here.
